Ok, didn't know where to put this, so I just posted it here. I just have to say..I LOVE THIS CD!!!!

Ok, now I feel better.

lex - March 21, 2007 04:18 PM (GMT)
me too. I've been trying to be objective and decide if I would like it if it were someone else singing. And I have come to my decision--hell, yes I would. I'm actually listening to it on a real stereo for the first time. My car's good, but my home stereo's better--way better. Holy cow is this cd good! I am so proud of Elliott. Frankly, I 'm also proud of myself (and all of us) for recognizing his brilliance so early on in what will surely be a long and glorious career!!

Tara_Cea - March 21, 2007 04:26 PM (GMT)
One Word...AMAZING!!!
I keep trying to figure out if I'm completely biased, but my Gawd, I'm LOVIN this CD!

elliottbabe - March 21, 2007 04:43 PM (GMT)
me too.....i'm sooooo pleased with this cd....just can't stop listening. AND after watching him on regis and kelly, and on TRL, he seems to have lost alot of his shyness, and is really believing that he has something special......he seems so relaxed and comfortable with himself. if this cd doesn't catapult him to the top, then i have no idea what will.....

arkansas_E_fan - March 21, 2007 09:57 PM (GMT)
It's an amazing cd. Elliott has made a great album!! :cheerleader:

ElliottisTrueBlue - March 21, 2007 09:59 PM (GMT)
Just got it today......SO GREAT!!!!

He really has come so far, and it's beautiful. I'm also requesting random stations in the TB area to play "Wait For You"....hopefully they will listen :)

Bluebayou - March 22, 2007 12:10 AM (GMT)
I still find it so hard to believe that I am actually able to hold a real, live (ok, you know what I mean) CD of ELLIOTT in my hot little hands! :woohoo: It is even better (is that possible???) than I had hoped it would be!! Those pictures inside! :thud: And best of all---THAT VOICE!!!!

ElliottisTrueBlue - March 22, 2007 12:21 AM (GMT)
LOL I haven't been this happy about buying a CD since last Halloween (Newsboys Go album came out :P)

yellforel! - March 22, 2007 02:16 PM (GMT)
OMG! I am in heaven! I just got my CD from amazon. am listening to it, just ate some chocolate & right now I don't even mind being at work! Pure bliss!

Tara_Cea - March 22, 2007 03:54 PM (GMT)
I let my friend borrow it yesterday and asked her for an objective and honest opinion. She said it was very good and his voice is amazing (she's sorta a music snob, ya know)! YAY!!
My 3 year old is starting to sing along to 'Wait For You' it's so stinkin cute!!! His fav Elliott song is still 'This Christmas', he just loves that one!

backporchpoet - March 22, 2007 07:53 PM (GMT)
Hey everyone, I've never posted before, but I've been a huge fan of Elliott from the first time I saw him perform in the Hollywood round of AI last year. To say he melts my heart is putting it mildly. And I am THRILLED with this CD, I can't even explain how much. His voice sounds absolutely phenomenal!!! Last night when I saw Elliott's CD was number 2 on iTunes, it actually made me cry. I wanted this for him so much, ever since he was unfairly voted off last year (I cried a LOT more then). Just knowing how MANY obstacles Elliott has overcome and seeing his album in the #2 spot on iTunes really made me emotional! I'm so proud to have supported him from the beginning and to see how much he's grown and become more confident, yet his compassion, humility, and GENUINE personality remain the same. I love that he was able to have creative control over this CD, which would not have happened if he'd finished first or second.

Oh, and I am LOVING "Train Wreck" - that has to be my favorite on the album, followed by "Take My Breath Away." So soulful and bluesy! "I'm The Man" is another favorite - I love how he sings it with such conviction. Just the kind of music I knew Elliott would make, and the CD has really exceeded my already-high expectations!

Welcome! I love Train Wreck too! I am also liking Let Your Heart Lead on the bonus CD. They seem to be my two favorites!

I also like All Right--It is just so thumping and I do not dance.

 I've thought about posting before, because I've been coming to this site on a regular basis for a long time, to keep up with what's going on with Elliott. Now that his CD is finally out, I'm overflowing with such enthusiasm that I could not resist posting! :woohoo:

Yes, "Let Your Heart Lead" is so beautiful and one of my favorites too. And I like "All Right" too - it's such a great song to dance to, but I really don't know how to dance and I won't dance in front of anyone, haha.

(hmm, when I quote people, it doesn't put in the poster's name or the date and time of the post, and the color is different... am I doing something wrong? I just hit the quote button, copied and pasted what I wanted to quote, and then hit the quote button again to end the quote. lol, can you tell that this message board stuff is new to me?)

:) That's great, because my family and friends aren't crazy about Elliott like I am. But I think that might change now that this album is out! I think this has definite hit potential.

I think my favorite is "I'm The Man". IMO it showcases his remarkable voice more than any of the others. And, surprise, I'm into the voice.

Welcome to the :etrain: !!! :glomp: I'm Stephanie, the Etrain's crazy teen!

I totally agree with your post, what makes this album so wonderful is just having that chance to see him evolve from a richmond drugstore worker to this talented artist right before our eyes! The album is amazing, especially for a debut! It's not perfect, and thank goodness because that leaves a little room for improvement in all the years that I know E will be around!

I love those songs you mentioned, "Train Wreck" may be my album fave

Indeed, the entire CD is WOW. And so are the bonus tracks! I just downloaded a copy from iTunes to get the AMAZING "Whiter Shade of Pale." The other bonus track from iTunes is great too - very catchy!

I think I will be posting more often - everyone seems so nice on this board! I think Elliott is just so sweet that he attracts sweet fans. :)

I'm Julie, and I think my mom would say I'm pretty crazy too when it comes to Elliott. I drive her crazy with how much I talk about him, lol. :)

Well put! That's exactly why I'm so emotional about this album release, because I know how far he's come from his humble roots and I got to watch him grow into a true artist. I agree that the album isn't perfect, but it's amazing for a debut (actually, it's better than many albums released by established artists), and I think he's going to get better and better with each album as he hones his craft.

That's right...publicity for E is all good. I was so excited when I saw it. E on the Daily 10 as part of their number 1's section. I acted like a little school girl and squealed with delight. And trust me, I am no school girl.

On another subject, I am getting married in 56 days. My MOH is making a program/CD for the guests and I am putting "Take My Breath Away" on the CD. Whomever is not an E fan will be one after my nuptials and I hope this makes them go out and purchase his CD. Every little bit helps.

Go E!
