I think Elliotts American Idols bonus track Believe would be the perfect song for the special, Idol Gives Back. They should have Elliott on there singing that song!

Are there any credits around to who wrote this song? I'm still hung up on the idea Rob Thomas was behind it and I really like Rob Thomas.

Yeah, lol but about every song we have heard could have made the album, that is how good they all are. Believe-Whiter Shade Of Pale-In Love With You Forever, glad we are getting to listen to all of these still cd or no cd , real treat from Elliott to give us access to these songs. Also is there a rule against new artists only able to have up to 12 or 13 songs on their first album, I have never noticed just curious.

There is speculation on FlipSide that "Believe" would've been Elliott's AI Single had he been in the Top 2 last season, and that AI (as earlier predicted) is now trying to cash-in on Elliott. I'm sure Elliott is still thankful for the exposure and all.

But this song is also available on URGE (MTV, VH1, CMT). Any tie ins to Fox or AI here?

I'm thinking it may have been his "Idol Song" and that he told them they could release it and give the money from it to the Idol Gives Back fund. I think he'll be on the show to perform it as well. That would be my guess.

I think "Do I Make You Proud" was supposed to be Elliott's song for the final 2. Taylor hated the song they gave him so much that when Elliott was voted off he asked E if he could sing his song instead.

ETA: AI selling this one is a good sign that we may be seeing Elliott on that stage again.

Makes me think that AI is getting some some of the profits from it.
But, if it gets him on the show.......so be it.

I truly hate the thought that AI is getting any $ for the bonus track Believe, but I did purchase it because I want everything Elliott. And OMG, what exposure that would be for Elliott if he did appear on their stage to perform it!!!

Elliott never hesitates to thank AI - they SHOULD have him back on the show. They'd probably have the highest viewing ratings of the season if he was going to appear!

I can't burn my copy of Believe to a CD. Can anyone advise me what I may be doing wrong? I haven't had trouble with burning any of the others. I depserately want to get it on my ipod!!! :)

Sounds like a possiblility, doesn't it? But with how they're not even mentioning Elliott's name, all this might be wishbful thinking. Unless they're not mentioning his name on purpose so they can deliver a really big shocker when Ryan announces he's going to be on...but nah, why would they do a thing like that?

I classify songs like this as cheesy beauty pageant songs, and I usually hate them. I LOVE this song. Why is that?

Also, did anyone find a way to add "Believe" to iTunes. I just downloaded it and I'm getting a protected WMA file format when trying to convert to AAC.

Now "Believe" might have been Taylor's original song that he swapped for DIMYP..and that would account for why it is a part of the AI downloads.

Rats! I can't burn it to a CD. Says I need a license to do it. I thought that the license had already downloaded along with the song.

It's startling to me how different the production on "Believe" is.. compared to Elliott's current CD. I can barely hear Elliott's voice on "Believe" ..he's so drowned out by the overproduction and so-called 'backing' vocals.
The song iteslf is lovely ..I really like it alot..it's just the music & everything is SO overpowering Elliott's voice is an afterthought. (with the exception of the first verses). I'd like to hear that song re-done & toned down a tad...could be great.

I figured out why it won't copy to CD. It has to do with the licensing. I right-clicked the properties when I tried to copy it in Windows Media player and it says that "copy to CD is not allowed".

I do really, really like this song even though I agree that Elliott's voice is almost drowned out by background singers and music at some points. Its the one song of all of his that if I heard parts of it on the radio without knowing who was singing I might not recognize his voice.

I do like the words because its about trying to resolve conflict. They go along with his good guy personality. Oh, and the fact that Elliott sings the crap out of this song helps.

I wonder if he'll sing it on tour. I would like to hear what his band does with it.

I spent my 99c and bought the download ONLY to find I can't convert it and get it into itunes. I'm either really stupid or can't be done. (probably the first).
Can anyone help me out with this? I'm going crazy. I've heard all the bonus tracks but this one and one other....can't remember the name. I've downloaded Itunes, I've heard the walmart bonus, I've bought the cd from Target. I think the other one I don't have is something about "your name" ? I'm on a MAC and as much as I love it I am slightly handicapped because of it. I'd really like to at least hear these two others.
I hope someone can help me out. Pretty please.....
