Since they put up the new banner......everyting posted is SOOO Wide on the screen that I have to scroll across to read each post. It is very anoying!!
Is it just "my" computer???

The banner, as put up, including the space that it occupies, is just SWELL for me.

I have the same problem. I don't think it's the banner causing it. I get the wide screen in some threads, but not all. Not sure why.

i suspect it might be your internet settings. i'm not sure what browser you use but try looking it up the View menu. either the Zoom option or the Text Size option should fix it.
ETA: certain threads will be wider than you screen if 1. a user put in a reply that consists of a really long word that the browser cannot word wrap, or 2. a user posted a picture that is long and thus, the screen expands. there isn't much that can be done about this except if the user who posted edits the post, or resizes the picture or puts thumbnails.

The banner is 745px wide so if your screen resolution is smaller than that, it would always be wider than your viewing area. Consider changing your screen resolution to 800x600 at the minimum. This should limit your scrolling to up-and-down only, rather than also having to do side-to-side.
Hope this helps. :)

Sometimes this happens based on what others post. Some pics and other people's siggy banners cause the "thread stretching". Since you say it is only some threads and not all it sounds like that is more likely the cause.
The banner atop the page of Etrain has never caused thread stretching on my end. I only get that if someone posts a really large pic...the posts after it will be stretched far across the screen and sometimes their siggy banners do it.
