Title: In Love With You Forever (itunes Bonus)
Description: Am I alone in totally diggin this song?

PDXJon - March 23, 2007 10:17 PM (GMT)
I am completely lovin' this song. Elliott's distinctive voice is loud and clear in this tune, and he reins in his always-impressive melismas (except during the codas) to give this song such a subtle genius. It starts out rather Billy Joelesque with its pop/upbeat verses, then switches gears to offer a 70's Soul-sounding chorus, and then slides into the jazz-funky codas. I dig it!

No, you are not alone, I love this song!

You are not alone, I'm there too on this song, I love your description of it, the more I listen to it the more I like it. It does end up kind of jazzy and funky with the electric piano and the percussion with the background singing, it seems like I've heard this song before, did someone else record it back in the day?

imthesame - March 23, 2007 10:22 PM (GMT)
I just listened to it - I love it - Elliott is really trying to tell us something, something about love, something about life.

SoulMusicRocks - March 23, 2007 10:22 PM (GMT)
I agree - brilliant. He bridges these diverse genres all in one song beautifully.

i love it!

I think so and something is telling me it's originally recorded in the country or folk genre.

From my first listen it was one of my favorites along w/ Take My Breath Away.

EmJay321 - March 24, 2007 02:19 AM (GMT)
Definitely not alone Jon. It's such a fun song. I love it.

No, you aren't alone - I love this song - its one of my favorites. I see it being a hit on its own.

nymphadora - March 24, 2007 04:09 PM (GMT)
Definitely love the 70's soul-sounding chorus.

musicmovesme - March 24, 2007 08:23 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I absolutely love love love the song along with "I'll Make You Dance and "Whiter Shade of Pale"--all so 70's groovalicious. Only heard snippets of "Sharing The Night Together" so far but they sound fantastic.

My itunes cd burned backwards so it starts off with "I'm In Love With You Forever", goes into "Whiter Shade of Pale", then "A Song For You", and all the way on down to "Movin On". I love listening to it that way.

"I'm gonna mind what my momma once told me
don't fall in love if you can't fall all the way
she said, 'go find yourself a dreamgirl,
give her every part of your world
just hold on tight and never let her slip away'

and when I saw you that rainy night in Cleveland
you lit me up like the sunlights of the moon
and that feeling I felt then
every day it comes again
yeah it fills my heart completely
you mean everything to me

chorus:
and I'm in love with you forever
I'm in love with you forever
I'm in love with you forever
till I die
we're always gonna be together
I'm never gonna leave you never
I'm in love with you forever
till I die
rain or shine
I am yours
you are mine

My love don't change with the weather
it will stand through the wind and the hurricanes
all around us we can see
love ain't all it used to be
that just makes my heart grow stronger
it just makes our love last longer

I love this song. Totally sounds Motown-y.

Yaminilita - March 25, 2007 05:45 AM (GMT)
This song has really grown on me. I love how his voice is so clear and prominent. Someone on Flip Side pointed out that when he's scatting toward the end, he's saying Jamie's name twice. I didn't pick up on that at first, but he sure is. I really love the last 2 minutes of this song - funky jam session.

elizajv - March 25, 2007 06:06 AM (GMT)
It's one of my favorite Elliott songs of the moment, along with "Believe" and "Sharing the Night Together".

Yaminilita, I was just coming over to say the very same thing! I was sitting on the transport to work today, having jut gotten this song yesterday, turning my mp3 back continuously to the last 2 minutes of that song! Why oh why isn't there a 15-minute jam of that? And why isn't that song on the CD?

Can we have the next CD chock full of the same stuff, please?

Hi Sherwood. Is Elliott a funky white boy or what. I remember listening to this jam session and thinking, no he didn't. lol I really think his next album will be even funkier than this one. Our Elliott is a genious.

I didn't catch him singing Jamie until I listened the 3rd or 4th time. That is soo cute. She is one lucky lady. He is such a great guy. I hope he does hit the 100k mark with the cd. It is so good. I think I've listened to it a hundred times or more. :thud: :thud:

IMO that is the true, true Elliott. Did I say that before? Maybe, but I just can't get over it.I also like what's at the end of Find a Way, it's in the same vein.

Actually it bothers me a little now that I know it's J-a-i-m-e; it's really cute of him and all, but I preferred when I thought it was completely abstract.

I can imagine how much of this stuff is going to go on at the concerts! I hope a live album comes out soon!

Just curious..why does it bother you?.i think it's so sweet..

Sorry, I thought I explained that. The intent is sweet, but it gets in the way. Now I have to associate to that when I hear the vocal, and I'd rather just listen.

elliottfan78 - March 31, 2007 12:41 PM (GMT)
I never realized he was saying her name during that part. I'll have to listen to it more closely.
