OH OH OH OH MEEEEE!!!!
So Earth Wind and Fireish! It sounds so much like that old soul-funk-disco sound from the 70s that I adore. Or the Whispers....good stuff!
He should do that maybe for the 70s children, it will make them wanna disco again

ElliottCat101 - March 24, 2007 07:57 PM (GMT)
all the targets near me are still sold out... can't wait to get it! :P
PDXJon - March 24, 2007 08:20 PM (GMT)
I can totally hear "Movin' On", followed by "I'll Make You Dance", then by "Alright" in any club, and the crowd will be hopping. Then, "Runaround" will come on and everyone will take a bathroom break, including the DJ.

LOL, PDX. :rotfl:
I'll Make You Dance is one of my two favorites (the other is Take My Breath Away). I boogie all over town with I'll Make you Dance on my car radio, and although I love the other bonus track, too, I usually only hear about half of that because I wanna hear I'll Make You Dance again! Love it!!!!
chloewannabee - March 24, 2007 09:04 PM (GMT)

I was in our target on Libby and they are in full stock again! The first morning they had ten copies. Today there were three spots vs one and you can tell that smoe of those have been purchased.
I bought three more copies! I could not control myself! LOL

Also....this song just makes me downright happy! It's definitely a "feel good" song for me. I just love hearing Elliott's voice on this song and I just have a stupid grin on my face the whole time I'm listening.

Does anyone know if I buy E's album from Target online if I'll get the bonus tracks?
I don't live near Target.

If you buy from Target.com they will ship your cd from Amazon, so no...you won't get the bonus tracks unfortunately. The bonus disc is an in-store promotion only. But I'm sure somebody (points to self) would be glad to send you the two bonus tracks if you can't get it in the store. :)

Believe it or not, I thought the song sounded a bit cheesy when I first played. It took about 4 plays until it clicked. I was like what the hell?....actually I said something much worse than that. This song is my JAM. It's brilliant. I love the atitude & swagger in his voice, the vocals, and the phrasing on point, the music is delisciously retro with Elliott throwing a little Prince vibe in there. This guy is a genious, seriously. I've never heard such a talented singer weave his way through a song the way he does. Amazing.

I'm laughing at this because that is almost identical to my reaction. At first, I was like, why the hell did Elliott record this? And, then, I, too, noticed the genius in the arrangement and Elliott's nearly infallible vocal phrasing that suddenly the song became more than just a bonus--it became a bonafide track.

"Make You Dance" is officially my favorite Elliott song now, followed by Free. This song should have been on the CD! I can't get enough of it!
I notice Free and Find a Way are getting some good reviews.
ElliottisTrueBlue - March 25, 2007 01:46 PM (GMT)
Think maybe he can release it as a single anyway? :etrain:

TrueBlue, you like it too eh? I think it's a sure fire hit!
I love the bass and the horns in this song. It's funky, dancable and interesting. It just "sticks."

PDX, when I put the song on the first time, I was actually laughing out loud at it's "cheese factor." This little piece of heaven is high on my list of favorite Elliott songs. Now when I listen to the song, I imagine him on stage getting his groove on. I'd die is he sang this in concert.
GypsyNFla - March 29, 2007 11:51 AM (GMT)
Am I alone in thinking this song is a hit? This "IS" my favorite song of them all now, followed by Trainwreck and the song written by David Ryan Harris.
