Title: Need Help With Computer
Description: Any Windows Geeks Out There

My hubby accidentally downloaded a bunch of Microsoft Updates that I didn't want. I don't know a lot about computers but he knows even less otherwise he wouldn't have done it. Now they want to install and I want to know if there is anyway to find what has been downloaded and delete them so they can't install.

Gogo if you want to find out of they are already on your pc and remove them go to your control panel and click on Add/Remove PRograms. This will show you all programs on your PC. Just click "remove" to uninstall any of the windows updates you no longer want.
For the ones that have not installed yet, just make sure you click no when you are prompted iwth the question of "Do you want to install now".

Thanks Doxie the problem is we never got the prompt. Not that persay. It was linked to shutting the computer off. I was tired working on correcting computer issues for two days. So I didn't notice until they started installing. I quickly manually shut it down.
I'll check in the Add/Remove but I'm not sure they are considered "programs" are they. I'll check. Thanks

I checked the Add/Remove and I only saw one update. That doesn't make sense. There's been a lot more. I need to check my Windows for Dummies book maybe they have something in there but I don't think so because its very basic.

Okay Doxie they are NOT in the Add/Remove program for Windows. I finally found them in My Computer in the C drive under Windows. They are listed there by their KB numbers. Now I have to find a ways to get what numbers mean what and see if I can delete them.
OH tech life for the elderly. :rotfl:
