Doubtful. You might see him in the audience, but - with the exception of Kim Locke from Season 2 - they have never allowed a non-19E contestant to come back and sing. In fact, Taylor and Katharine have been conspicuosly absent from the show, and they ARE signed with 19E.

They should have Elliott back, maybe it would give them some legitimacy after Sanjaya....oy vey....

Next week would be perfect for E since Tony Bennett will be there. That would be hot!

I wish they would've had that kind of week for Elliott last year. He would've tore up the Tony Bennett theme.

Oh so that explains why they mention 'Daughtry' at least once on every show. We thought they were feeling bad he got eliminated & were trying to make it up to him by mentioning him(as if he were the only contestant on the show last year) :rotfl:

Cha-ching! It's all about 19E/Clive Davis. There's a penalty for doing your own thing. (a reward too, but not with AI). Actually, I believe that Elliott said in an interview that he'll be there in the audience for one show.

Kat and Taylor not having been on there has been VERY suspicious. I was very surprised.

AI just loves Carrie. WAsn't she a guest on last year's season AND this year's? Dont they think we might like to see other alumni come back and not just the country singers?

I actually kind of thought maybe he could be on there given the song "Believe" is on AI as a download.

haha, that is exaclty what i said to my mom. I was like E would of killed everyone that week. That week would of been his just like Elvis week was his.

Actually based on what Bucky said yesterday, Clive didn't pass on Elliott, Elliott passed on them.

I was wondering if the judges get a big bonus every time they mention the name 'Daughtry'.

Not just the judges, Ryan too. The promos leading into Top 12 week, the use of his song as the exit tune, it all just seems like they are trying to soothe Daughtry's wounds or say sorry for him being eliminated.

Who is this Daughtry guy everyone keeps talking about? Oh wait...was that some bald guy from last year???

I know Elliott is too much of a class act to say anything negative about AI, but it is pretty shabby how they have gone out of their way to exclude any reference to him so far this year. Whether he turned them down or they turned him down...bottom line was that Elliott was a big key to the success of season 5. He was THE most talented ever on the show and he had one of the most compelling stories of any of the contestants. He won over so many hearts. To edit out any reference to him just because he is not among the roster of 19 stars is pitiful!!

i didn't think that i could love or respect elliott any more than i already do.....
but if what bucky said is true (i always knew in my heart that this was the case)
that it wasn't clive that nixed the deal, it was elliott.......then my love and respect just grew a lot more than i thought was possible. how must he be feeling now, after his brilliant debut.....knowing what he knew all along......and reading about all the speculation regarding his not being signed. he must have been in pain, not being able to share with all of his fans. OMG how i love this man....

Totally agree. Daughtry was pimped the entire time (until he was voted off). They chose his song Home for AI contestant exits this year. Oh and they mentioned Daughtry a couple more times this season already.

Elliott finished after Daughtry, Chris Richardson loved Elliott, sang some of the songs E sang, and not a single reference by the judges made regarding Elliott? Awful.
