Title: Delays At Yes.com ??

Sk8888 - April 1, 2007 11:46 PM (GMT)
Has anyone else missed a chance to vote for WFY on yes.com even though the station just popped up?

I was on night before last and Tralalara and I both got to two radio stations right when they came up and yet WFY had played five minutes earlier.

This afternoon I experienced the same thing when a spin in Corpus Christi came up. I went to the chat area immediately, but WFY had been played five minutes earlier.

SK8888,
Yup, been happening to me also. I've been on very little the last few days because of work so when I am here it's been extreemly frustrating to constantly miss the vote because of the delay. Or a station will pop up and say that they played the song a couple of hours before.
Also, what's with the no ranking status? I realize it's not only happening to Elliott but something seems to be screwed up big time at yes.com

The no ranking designation startled me until I realized it looked pretty widespread.

But the delays are hurting us getting in votes at the new stations.

I haven't been on as much as I'd like because of work hours recently but this has happened several times.
I hate to miss him.

Yep. Same thing here. I sent them an email earlier today regarding the "No Ranking" problem. I'd been noticing it happening with more frequency the last couple of days and then this morning, wham. Almost all listings throughout the site are in the same boat.

I hope that Yes.com is able to resolve these problems since it's become such a valuable tool here.

Of course, if I hear anything back, I'll let everyone know.

I was wondering if it had anything to do with being a new month?

While, I'm here, I'll just report that I did manage a thumbs up on a spin of WFY by KVLY at 5:57 CST. I noticed per Movin's notes that this station first started spinning WFY on the 28th.

Location: McAllen, Brownswille, Harlington , TX

I found at least one McAllen fan on the AI boards. They know about the station now.

If anyone else can weigh in on that thread from time to time, it's very, very helpful. The thread link appears in my signature.

Duh, I woke up in the middle of the night with the no ranking thing bugging me. Of course it's because of the new month!
Nice to see the Lexington, KY station give WFY a spin. I think I've only seen them once or twice.

Okay, things might be getting back to normal with rankings.

Salt Lake City, KVFX, recorded a WFY spin at 11:10 MST....yes.com ranking #50

Fingers crossed.

I was sitting here looking at the screen when this popped up. Play time 11:10MST, real time for me 1:21EST. One song too late to vote.
Argggggggggg.

Arggh! Same here.

Just went to vote, my time 11:59 PST....the spin at 2:48 EST....eleven minutes earlier.

I literally saw the CD icon pop-up in *my* real-time, which didn't come close to yes.com

This is getting to be very frustrating.

I'm thinking the site has been experiencing some bugs that they're in the process of working out. A new month shouldn't cause this to happen. Their National Top 20 List happens at midnight every day. The rankings are real-time. As far as I can tell, the site is working better but it's not all fixed. Some of the stations still show no rank although WFY has played there throughout the day. Seems unlikely that WNOU has fallen to #127 since WFY played at least a couple of times today on that station.

I'm not going to take those numbers as meaningful yet. Hopefully they will return to being something we can count on. And it would be nice if we could throw in some votes too!

It's been acting like that for most of the day. I think it started last nite. Around the same time the rankings really started acting strange. When I saw that KIIS was not ranked a couple of days ago, I knew there was a problem.
