Pandora.com is a great way to broaden your musical horizons and I highly recommend it.

They take a long time to add new music because they breakdown the songs and artists features in great detail in order to best match up what each individual listener would enjoy.

Here is what they list as the feature breakdown for Movin' On (i love this):

Features Of This Song
modern r&b stylings
electronica influences
jazz influences
demanding vocal performances
mild rhythmic syncopation
extensive vamping
thru composed melodic style
a vocal-centric aesthetic
minor key tonality
groove based composition
a smooth male lead vocalist
an emotional male lead vocal performance
electric pianos
prominent percussion
vocal harmonies

Hey Movin,

Finally! But....I can't find it...when I try to create a new station and fill in "Elliot Yamin" it says it doesn't find him!!!!

I found 'Movin On' but it won't play Elliot's song. Here's what I get as to why:

"If you are an artist whose music is played on Pandora, you'll want to make sure that you register with SoundExchange so that you'll be paid for the performance of your songs on Pandora and all other Internet radio services."

Great descriptions. Accurate too.

Please note...I just got this from Pandora:

Hi, it's Tim from Pandora,

I'm writing today to ask for your help. We've had a disastrous turn of
events recently for internet radio. Ignoring all rational economics and responding only to the RIAA, an arbitration committee in Washington DC has just dramatically increased the fees internet radio sites must pay to the record labels - tripling fees and adding enormous retroactive payments! Left unchanged by Congress, this will kill all internet radio sites, including Pandora.

You can help by calling Representative Melvin Watt from your state to voice your objection to this ruling and ask for his help in saving internet radio.

Representative Melvin Watt's phone number: 202-225-1510

If you decide to call, please be sure to tell them your name and home town, and ask for the Congressperson to get back to you on how he plans to help. The office will likely respond in writing to the first few calls they receive, but as the calls increase in volume they may just tally the number and pass that on to the Congressperson. If they decline to take your name or address it only means that this call to action is working, which is great! We encourage you to tell them how much you enjoy listening to internet radio and that, left unchanged, the fees passed by the Copyright Royalty Board will kill internet radio. Please ask them to act to reverse this decision.

Remarkably, this rate applies only to internet radio, exempting both broadcast radio and satellite radio. It is a pure and simple reflection of the difference in lobbying power of each industry. It is not only unfair and without legal rationale, but will completely wipe out internet radio.

I hope you'll take just a few minutes to call - it will make a difference. As a young industry, we do not have the lobbying power of the RIAA. You, our listeners, are by far our biggest and most influential allies.

As always, and now more than ever, thank you for your support.

Hi,
You forgot that Elliott has two "t" not one. You typed Elliot instead of Elliott.
