Elliott's CD is:

#1 on the Top Independent Albums chart
#10 on the Top Digital Albums chart
#28 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart
#29 on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart

Very respectable....what about Wait For You?

ohioguy45780 - April 5, 2007 12:54 PM (GMT)
strong digital sales of the album continue!

20 new albums make up most of the top 30; Elliott was one of only 10 previous albums to make top 30.

Down from #11 on the R&B chart.

Expect a 20K-25K take next week; Mediasbase continues to take off, so that may help to augment any decrease.

Interesting. Other than an increase in airplay, what do you base these numbers on?

I simply expect a 30% drop..... 21K.
It's also not as crowded of a week....maybe 6 new major albums...all expected to hit north of 150K! I never knew Martina McBride was so popular.....

I see steady numbers on Itunes....#13 overall; #5 pop. It's not dropping as fast as last week.

Amazon is back up to #12.

They'll be some Kimmel effect, hopefully increased radio play.
Given how Taylor dropped (70/40), and Katharine (55/35), I can see Elliott follow suit. At 35% drop, he hits about 20K; but he's higher on iTunes' list at 3 weeks out than Taylor or Katharine.

Last week, Elliott sold about 4400 albums on iTunes (15% of total; UNVERIFIED!); if he loses 25% of that, he ends up selling, say 3300. If he holds at the same overall percentage, I have him pegged at 21-22,000 copies.

Good analysis. Thanks for breaking it down.
