Description: Anyone else?

I keep signing on and off. When I click a topic, most of the pages won't load.

I'm not on AOL. I went to moosak to see if anyone else was having trouble. They said there might have been maintenance over the weekend on here? Not sure, but it's been doing this pretty often lately.

I still lock up and have some trouble with links, but it is better since I defragmented my C drive.

I checked for a virus, and couldn't find one.

Who knows?????????

I run Ad-aware, System Mechanic and Ewido anti-spyware and spyware blaster. It's probably just a temporary board glitch.

My avatar went missing yesterday. Brandon says there has been some work done on the server. I have been having other problems too with slow responses, etc. He passed my avatar problems on to Loth. I have been using one from the gallery provided by the website. Hopefully they'll get things straightened out soon.

We were offline for about an hour or so yesterday for maintenance it appears, and the "offline pages" we are getting today may or may not be a part of that.

I have been having slow page loading probs for awhile and thought it was my PC. Does anyone else sometimes have to wait for a little while when you post for it to show up? What it does is hangs when you hit submit and it takes a bit to complete the action. that is what is happening on my end anyway.

The page not displayed errors seem to be new and just over the past day. The slow page opening and post displaying have been going on for me for awhile and wondered if it was just me. I notice it on fast connections too. It could be a busy time when that occurs tho and servers moving slower.

The board has been excruciately slow for almost two weeks now. I was encouraged to note that there was server maintenance yesterday, but when I want to post it will sometimes take more than three minutes to complete that execution.

I'm on a wireless laptop and I thought that was the problem. But I have received several pm's from members concerned about the slowness of the board.

Please continue to let us know what you are experiencing so we can monitor the situation.

Doxie, just now when I hit the "add reply" button, it wouldn't load. This happens often on my end. Also have trouble when I click on threads. This has been happening for about three or four weeks.

Oh yeah...me too! Was talking to MJ about it in chat a couple nights ago. Some threads load immediately, others take up 3-4 minutes. Sometimes, refreshing the page helps, sometimes not. Sometimes I have a fast reply option, sometimes not. Sometimes my post will go through, many times not....at least on the 1st attempt, anyway. It is pretty frustrating, especially since I have DSL & am used to sites loading fairly quickly & efficiently. This site has been making me feel like I have dial up for about the past 2 weeks or so. I am so glad it isn't just me!

This site is wiggin out. Took SEVEN minutes for my post to go through, although I didn't know it had because I got an IE page display error. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I have dial up so you can imagine my speed! LOL

Maybe MC or one of the other technical mods can look into it. I wonder if being a free site/forum (I think it still is) and having so much activity could have a bearing on it. Not sure.

I wonder if it has something to do with additions to the site after E's CD was available. The Adobe flash player link at the top of the page to Elliott's CD on Amazon.com might be the problem? Sometimes flash player causes slow downs.
