I agree. I love his version. Makes me want to hear him sing more of these type songs. He could do Van Morrison's songs with ease.

I love this so much. I really can't imagine any other artist singing this so well...I get chills everytime I listen to it. Everyone needs to download this since the quality is so much better than the one on youtube. His interpretation is brilliant. It may be my favorite track of all and as great as ASFY was on AI (practically flawless), if he had sung this song, he would have left everyone speechless....

speechless, gasping for air, picking themselves off the floor once they regained composure and then shaking their heads in wonder of "how does he sing everything like he does?"

:thud: Incredible!! If released, E's version of this beloved classic could quite feasibly garner 100s of thousands of new devotees.
His passion and his pipes are brilliant.
April 17 can't come too soon -- I 'm drying to hear this on a good system. :thud:

That's exactly what I did...I got the original from Target, then when I found out WSOP was bonus on i'tunes, I ordered it there as well. Like the other bonus track from Itunes also.....

Thank heaven for YouTube.
I've been patiently waiting for Canadian I-Tunes to get with the program. This has been long enough!!
I need that song!
junker3 - May 19, 2007 02:00 PM (GMT)
well, like i said. If you want it without the video part, i could send it to you..
CanadianFan - May 19, 2007 10:04 PM (GMT)
Thanks for your offer Junker -- OG long ago said he'd send it to me -- but I want the whole CD from I-tunes (help the sales, you know). It surely has to come to Canada now that he's doing so well in the States. I am patient - well, not really. But I will wait for E -- I'll be waiting! :awe:
junker3 - May 19, 2007 10:06 PM (GMT)
who said they would send it to you before? me? cause if you are talking about me, i'm not a he...lol
CanadianFan - May 20, 2007 01:23 AM (GMT)
It was Ohio Guy. Actually, I've had offers from several of you wonderful fellow E-nuts. PoorMe has said she will burn me a copy if I still need it by the time we attend the Minneapolis concert. I wonder if they'll let me back across the border with all my E merchandise. Let's see -- CD from Target -- one from PoorMe -- an authographed one from the concert (I hope) -- a Tshirt -- and whatever else I can find. Yup, should be able to make the duty-free limit!
junker3 - May 20, 2007 01:39 AM (GMT)
hah. Okay, I was trying to figure out the OG.. I should have known. ! okay, well some people think I'm a guy, so now everyone knows! I hope to get the same fortune as you with the concert stuff!
Nana2160 - May 26, 2007 01:29 PM (GMT)
I absolutely LOVED Elliott's concert...He was the BEST I have ever heard him...
BUT, I have a "true confession"...I was alittle disappointed that he didn't sing "Whiter Shades of Pale" He has taken a classic and turned it into a "Master Classic"...:number1:
Even my brother who is a mega 70's music guru...Loved it! :valentine:
I can only pray  That he will include it on his next album...The song is simply amazing and I want EVERYONE to hear it!!! :iwish:
(You can download it from Itunes...but you have to download the entire CD to get "Whiter Shades of Pale") IT is well worth the $10 bucks to hear it! :rocker:
jogr - May 26, 2007 06:59 PM (GMT)
Yes, he should really make this song more available. Many people do not use itunes and have no access to WSP. It's one of my favorites too.

JUST an FYI...for those that can't get an autographed copy by Elliott personally at the show (although I doubt this will be the case...he seems to be making a point of meeting fans before an after the show)...they are selling autographed copies, along with cool t-shirts and Josh Hoge stuff. (Althoughthe guy selling them did have a sharpie in his hand...Hmmmm...???)
