Got my tickets! Section A row E! how perfect? Someone on the flipside said that reserved seating is gone already!? That'd be great for E.
ohioguy45780 - April 14, 2007 02:29 PM (GMT)
some seats are set aside for TimeWarner employees and other sponsors (they probably get center seats), but I doubt the reserved seats are sold out yet....
estilrose - April 14, 2007 02:34 PM (GMT)
Yeah, her computer was acting up and she had to hit refresh 9-10 times to get it right.
ohioguy45780 - April 14, 2007 03:30 PM (GMT)
looks like some sections are going fast....good for Elliott!!
Thos that post elsewhere (AI Boards, MJs, etc.), let everyone know at those sites, as well. Cleveland is accessible from many major points, within a quick 2 hour drive.

I may be able to join y'all, but this is the day after my birthday. I might be a little, eh, hungover . . . Or still celebrating!

Elliott's on the radio in Cleveland next week, so hopefully they'll talk about his concert, and drive some ticket sales.

Ohioguy, thank you so much for posting the ticket announcement this morning. I checked the news first thing this morning and saw your post. I would have not known about ticket availability today at all, had I not checked this board first thing this morning. Again, thank you so much! I'm sure a lot of people still don't know about this if they haven't logged onto the site, with it being Saturday and all.
Boy, they sure didn't give the Cleveland contigent much notice, did they?

Has anyone been to this venue? Is it near "the flats" in C-town or in Chagrin Falls?
My aunt lives in Lorain and would probably love to go to this concert.

The Tower City Amphitheater is downtown Cleveland. Canal St. Looks like it's right on the lake. I don't know if that helps. I'm not familiar with the area myself.

I think it's in downtown Cleveland, if that helps. It's right on the lake, probably near the other entertainment and sporting venues.
Cleveland's downtown has underwent a major rehab over the past few years....a huge galleria mall, upgraded stadium, the Rock Hall, etc., etc....it's very clean and modern.
Don't worry, out-of-towners....the river no longer catches on fire. :-)
Sk8888 - April 14, 2007 10:47 PM (GMT)
Thx everyone!
I didn't mean "the flats" as a negative. It's considered the hippest part of Cleveland right near the water since it's been renovated. So, it sounds like we're talking about the same area.
I've been to that mall too. Love it!

Well this sux. I just used the link to get tix, since of ALL days I didn't get online till stankin 11pm, & the only thing I got was general admission?! I didn't see any specification of where my 2 seats would be at all, just that the tix would get me in to the Rib Fest & that general admission could = standing room. *sigh*
estilrose - April 15, 2007 04:05 AM (GMT)
RM!! I've been wondering where you were all day! I was wishing I had a phone number for you to get you in on the tickets this morning. We'll all get there at least. Can't wait to see you again.

did you get the $7 "seats"?
There are still $15 seats available with the reserved seating.
I actually think the $7 gets you into the RibFest itself; anyone in the vicinity will be able to hear and enjoy Elliott, thus enjoying the "standing room" or whatever.
The $15 get you a seat near the stage.
Elliott will be on the radio in Cleveland this coming week, and will hopefully mention the RibFest. Expect some sales right after that mention. As his song gets increased radio play, you can also expect an effect from that.
The RibFest is huge; tons of out-of-towners come to the event. We're talking 100,000+ people.

Wow... thanks for the info on the concert at the rib cook-off. Had heard about him being here in town on thursday and was planning on catching up with him. Now will have to try and get tickets later for the concert when I can get my work schedule straightened out for that holiday weekend.
As for the concert venue... It is right downtown across the street from the Q-Arena (Quicken Loans Arena) which is home to the Cavaliers and Jacobs Field which is home to the Indians. It is also across the street from the Tower City Mall. Tower City is a cool mall that has tons of shops and a Hard Rock Cafe on the corner that is marked by a huge guitar... pretty much down and next to the parking lot under it... is near where the concert is.
The actual concert venue is a large tarp overcovered area. It can seat a good number of people, but I am not sure on the total number of people. I have both seen seated events and SRO events depending on who performes.
Here are a couple of pictures that i found of the venue posted below.
