i have 2 questions...

#1 does anyone know the date for the ai finale?

#2 i was on the ai site and noticed they had the top 5 idol videos and bucky's video was on there. how do we get elliott's video on there???

The finale results show should come up on May 23.

The second question is a good one - I don't know the answer. Maybe we have to get it on regular rotation on VH1 or MTV to get it up there. Bucky's video is played on CMT.

I wondered about that too but came with my own explanation. Bucky is now involved with the "Idol Camp" so I thought that might have something to do with his video being there.

I just don't get this whole IDOL vrs Elliott thing. Even Bucky on Larry King Live, mentioned something like..."ya.....I got out fast" (meaning away from AI) He and Elliott both chuckled. All I know is that AI drives me CRAZY!!!!!

The way I understood what Bucky said...was Larry King asked Bucky a question he couldn't answer. And Bucky joked...because Bucky is always joking.that he wouldn't know "he got out".
Later he clarified it with "When I was invited to leave". Meaning he wouldn't have any idea what it's like to win American Idol. Larry King asked him a question that only the winner could answer.

Thanks for helping, I couldn't remember exactly how it all went. I think I'm just tired of AI period. I'm so glad Elliott is doing so well without them. And Bucky seems to be doing well also. His CD is Great, and I'm not even a Country music fan. I just want Elliott to have a wonderful, long lasting career. As for AI?? I'll be happy when I'll be able to hear people talking about Elliott and his music and AI won't even be in the conversation. Sounds like I'm tired..I should never post when tired :lol:

SOMEWHERE on the American Idol site (darned if I can find it now!) they had a feature about AI makeovers and Elliott was NOT one of them! I just don't get it. I realize he didn't sign with 19 but come ON. He does exist, he did come in third, he did have a very obvious makeover and still they ignore him. What on earth did he ever do to them? You can bet your life when he becomes big in the music world (and he will) they will want to claim him THEN! :poke:

Come on people, he is NOT being ignored. Go to Videos, Idol Alumni, he's the second one there, "Catchin Up with Elliott Yamin" which was featured on the Home Page for a while. There have been articles about him in the "Latest American Idol News". His CD is availble for download on that cite with the bonus track "Believe" that is for AI only. They did feature Elliott's makeover of the Home page for a while last year.

Anyone else think Elliott will perform at this Wednesday's Idol Gives Back show? They'd be crazy not to include him.

I want Elliott to perform, but I just don't know if they will include him. I also think Clay should be there, after all his work with UNICEF. And who better to sing an inspirational song, for that matter Reuben.

Ok, off the topic "kind of -but not really:. Question#1...Did anyone see Bucky on American Idol Extra on April 19th!?!? Seems he was "sitting in the audience at the AI show on the 18th.....and AI Extra snabbed him up and gave him an interview and interaction with a fans! Sooooo my question is.......IF Elliott were to be in the audience of one of the AI shows.....WOULD HE....be pointed out and then end up on AI Extra!?!? The interview with Bucky was pretty good....and they did a lot of talk about his CD. What do all of YOU think???
Question #2......Is it true that none of Taylor's songs from his CD are having ANY AIR TIME????

Bucky was in the audience on Wednesday because he was already scheduled to be on AI Extra after that, you are correct. But some former AI contestants have gone to see the show without being on AI Extra.

If Elliott's going to be on AI Extra, we will hear about several days in advance. We won't have to wait until we see him in the audience Wed night. The Bucky fans knew about Bucky being on AI Extra before they saw him in the audience, and I'm sure it would be the same for Elliott.

It doesn't sound like this "Idol Gives Back" thing is about Idol at all. They have a few past Idols coming back (Carrie/Kelly), but I think it's mostly gonna be random people.


...But boy would I love it if he showed up! :thud:
