I got an e-mail from the Marquee that due to sheduling conflicts they had to change Elliott's show to the 20th, rather than the 18th:

We are sorry for the confusion but the Elliot Yamin concert originally scheduled for June 18th has been moved to June 20th. A change in the routing of the tour forced them to change the date on us. Your tickets purchased for June 18th will still be honored, but if you are unable to attend the re-scheduled date of the 20th we are offering refunds. If a refund is desired, please contact the Marquee Box Office at #480-829-1300. Also any additional questions or concerns can be directed to that number as well. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused.

Wow, thanks for this info!! I just got my tickets for this show yesterday. The lady at the box office said nothing to me about the show date being changed. I am going to call them as soon as they open this morning to make sure. Glad I checked in here, I might have never known. What a nightmare that would have been to show up that night and no Elliott, LOL

Wow, I can't believe my concert is coming up in just 6 short days! I am very very excited.

Lindaqt: Do you remember sending me the Richmond Magazine that had Elliott on the cover last year? I plan on taking that to my concert to see if I can get an autograph on it. If I get one, I will be sure to take a pic and post it for you. How exciting would that be to get an autograph on the mag that was sent to me all the way from Richmond?! I will also be sure to let him know you are the one who sent it to me :)

Friday I was at the Marquee to see about parking and pick up the tickets I had bought on-line when they first went on sale. I asked the girl how many the Marquee held and she said about 1500. (the parking lot only holds about 200 cars - what the heck?) Anyway, I started to walk back to my car, then ran back and asked her if she knew how many tickets had sold so far and she said about 2/3 - so 1000 tickets already! Yippee. I hope he sells out. That says a lot - people happily paying for burning up and melting in 110 degree weather and driving all over Tempe looking for a place to park, then walking a mile or more in the heat to get back to the venue! I thought we E-Trainers were the only ones crazy enough for that, but I guess it's an epidemic!

JustaMom - that's a great idea and sweet of you to give me a shout out, but if you forget in your swooniness, don't worry about it :rotfl:

Jackie - 1,000 tickets is amazing!! That's one of the larger venues for this tour - and a lot of tickets for a first tour!

Maybe there are a lot of lurkers in arizona!! Whatever the case may be, those are really great numbers!!!Have a wonderful time, take lots of pics, bring lots of water, oh and bring a silver sharpie!!!

Mani/pedi yesterday. Today I picked up the passes from KISS. Very funny thing - The station happens to be in one of two twin buildings which share a parking lot. In my excitement I didn't realize I was in the wrong one, but I did find it strange that there was no signage indicating I was at the Clear Channel offices, or KISS or ANY thing radio related. The investment banker in the OTHER suite 300 had no Elliott Yamin backstage passes for me, but he was kind enough to point me in the right direction . . .

I'm worried about the weather - from the videos I've seen of him on stage in NORMAL places, I'm afraid there will just be a little puddle of melted Elliott by the time the show starts - you know, like in Frosty The Snowman. Just a little puddle with that baseball cap floating on top.

I'll be there around 5 or a little earlier. I'll look for you and your daughter.

I'll be the crazy lady jumping up and down. By chance there is more than one similarly effected woman look for one in jeans, white/silver-ish tank sorta thing with a perfect french mani/pedi. ;)

hey why dont you bring E a frozen hand towel to drape around his neck? bring a whole bagful of them. I used to give my son a cooler full of them when he played baseball. it really helped

I bought him the absolute cutest towel there is! It is a plain white sports towel like one would use at the gym, except it has the word "Shvitz" embroidered across it and it comes in a little carry bag.

(Shvitz - Yiddish for sweat)
