I'm really confused -- which venue in Minneapolis is it? From what I see the Trocadero and Varsity are different places? Neither have Elliott on their lineup yet. :dunno:

Its Trocaderos. The day the list came out on his myspace (I think it was Thursday) I looked at their website and they had him listed for June 3. It looks like tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster.

I've found him on Trocaderos site, but no way to buy tickets from there and he isn't on Ticketmaster for Minneapolis/St. Paul. I am getting so frustrated.

I just called Trocadero's and was told that they just secured the concert date last Thursday and expect to have ticket information by the end of this week. I have my plane tickets already and I can't wait!!!! :dance:

Glad to know other Etrainers will be there. It would be fun to meet up at the concert!

Yeah, looks like it's general admission, standing room only. I'll be going with my brother and sister-in-law, who probably won't want to get too close to the stage and definitely won't want to dance, so I would like to meet up with you and others! Not sure how early I'll be going, yet, but I'll be back here to check in with people.

I just checked Ticketmaster and they say the doors open at 7. I'm not sure if i'll be there then or a little earlier as I want to be as close to the stage as possible.

I'm so excited I can't wait!!

Jeez, TicketMaster sure gouges you with all the fees. I paid a little over $81 for three people at $20/ticket. But it's worth it!

I want to be close to the stage, too! So it probably is a good idea to get there a bit before doors open. I wonder if tickets will sell out.

I'm going to a ticketmaster outlet tomorrow to get them. Hopefully they won't sell out by then!

In what is quite a daring feat during my latter years, I have bought tickets, and booked a room downtown for 2 nights. I have no idea if either of my two candidates for the honour will be able to make it. But hey, thre's a greyhound bus (hate driving in strange cities) and I'm sure I won't be the only Etrainer there. Tho I'm not a young woman, I will be the old bat on the dance floor. By myself, if need be!!

Angie -- maybe you can answer my question. My tickets say Section GA1 standing room ony. I am curious about that as photos of the venue show tables. How does one go about getting a table - not that I won't be on the dance floor but old ladies need to sit occasionally!
Are any other Etrainers going, or is it just us? LOL - we'lll have a private Elliott concert!

I've never been there before, but according to their website they are also a restaurant. I'm thinking if you want a table you just pick one...first come first serve.

I don't know anymore Etrainers that are going. If it's just us that will be awesome! I'm going to be up there though right next to the stage if there are a lot of people there!

If it's crowded, I'll dispense with the table -- want to be as close to the action as possible!

AngieKay and CanadianFan, you guys are not alone! A bit further up the page, I mentioned I'll be at the concert with two (relative) party pooper family members (but don't tell 'em I said that)! So I'd love to meet up with other Etrainers who want to dance and be close to the stage. I don't have specific plans yet as far as arrival time, etc. Looks like a few other Etrainers will be there, too. Maybe we can make more specific plans as the date approaches?

There was only one area available (general admission/standing room) when I bought tickets through TicketMaster. I noticed that for other concerts at Trocaderos, they sell seating at tables (surrounding the dance floor, maybe?), but maybe the setup will be different at E's concert. Maybe we should bring folding lawn chairs in case anyone gets tired or collapses due to sheer excitement! :thud:

There will be one more "mature" fan on the floor, ME! I'm bringing my 20 year old daughter and 24 year old niece. I also have an extra ticket for my husband...He's not too enthused, but I've attended a few car/motorcycle/horse
shows with him that I wasn't too enthused about. ( and wound up enjoying myself anyway) I know if I can get him there he will LOVE it. If not, I"ll invite someone else.

Do you think if I get tired they'd let me sit on the stage?? :lol:

I agree. When the time gets closer we'll make better plans. I have to attend my baby brother's high school graduation on that same day so it will be a long day for me. I don't drive so my husband is dumping there sometime. He thinks I'm crazy meeting up with people I don't know, but that's what happens when you go places alone.

I'm SOOOO excited. We're so lucky that Elliott is coming to Minneapolis. I called and talked to Melissa at Trocaderos right after they had confirmed Elliott's booking. She said the night club holds 1400 but they usually sell only 1000 tickets for concerts. We get to see Elliott in a very intimate setting. I think that a lawn chair on the stage sounds perfectly reasonable. I promise not to get in the way!

This should be a lot of fun! It will be nice to meet other E fans in person. :friends:
I wonder how soon we need to be there to get primo spots?? I thought about having an early dinner at the restaurant. That way, if the prime real estate starts filling up, I can throw down my fork and bolt for front and centre stage. :happy:

Maybe an early dinner at Trocaderos would be a good idea. Or maybe we could have one Etrain contingent posted at the restaurant, one outside watching the line, one behind the building watching for E's arrival, etc. Of course, we'd all need walkie-talkies and uniforms... ^_^

I'll be there too, with my somewhat reluctant husband. I'm surprised that the place holds 1000 people. It didn't look that big in the photo. Someone said you get a good view of the stage from the balcony. I'm going to try to get their early to find a good spot. I don't know if my old feet can bear to stand for that length of time.

The more, the merrier! Brave of you to bring your husband, PoorMe. Mine is generally very patient with my obsession with E but would never let me drag him to a concert.

An early dinner would be a great idea so we can make sure we get our spots we want. I Have a graduation party to attend at about 2 pm, but closer to the date we'll decide what time to meet. I actually have a valid excuse to ecsape the family party!! WOO!!

Hey all you Minnesota Efans - this is a little off-topic, but I figured it was the best way to reach everybody. KDWB has had Wait for You in a song challenge tonight and last night at about 9:15 pm - and it won! However, the dj was not very friendly to the song. If you have a chance, please listen tomorrow evening or check the board here to see if they will be doing another challenge. Every vote counts!

Is it going to be at the same time tomorrow as well? I don't listent to the radio much but i'll be sure to tune in tomorrow night!

Didn't see the info about KDWB until today. I'm on break right now but will take a closer look when I get home. FYI: I was in Minneapolis a couple of weekends ago and tried calling KDWB to request WFY...I tried over a period of 10 hours and they never answered the phone once. I'll have to look up their website to double check the number and make a request via e-mail.

I don't live in MN but my brother does, and I think he requested WFY through the KDWB website. I just scoured the website but didn't find a place to make an online request. :(

Where are my tickets?! I ordered last Friday and haven't received them in the mail yet. Has anyone else who requested standard mail delivery received theirs yet?

Other random thoughts: I was thinking of making a sign that says something like "Minnesota/Canadian Etrainers/Yaminions love Elliott Yamin!" and bringing it to the concert as a way to help us all gather. And we could hold it up during the concert so Elliott sees it. What do y'all think? Or maybe it could say "BJulz loves Elliott Yamin but would never NEVER sit in his lap unless invited to." :rolleyes:

I love the second sign idea!! here's mine "Elliott, Can I sit on your lap?" But I might squish him..poor guy...LOL Also, my husband might not like the idea of a sign asking another man if i can sit on his lap LOL He's been a good sport through my obsessions (the other being Taylor).

We do need something so we can all find each other. If anyone is interted in having my number or my email just let me know...when the day gets closer i've found at past shows when meeting people the cell phone is awesome to find each other.

I don't blame ya! I went to ticketmaster and bought mine and I take it out everyday just to make sure it's real...and I don't lose it, and I get the date right and time...yeah..i'm a total dork but who cares, right? ;)

Oh gosh no...he's not going!! It's my "alone" time. He won't know what goes down.

I couldn't drag him there even if I wanted to!! Him and our son go hang out and get some good quality father/son time.
