Anyone has been this place Showbox? I wonder if this place is close by Ferry just in case we don't want to drive up there...
Wonder if it is safe walking back to ferry after the show.

I am going to John Legend on May 26, so planning to check the place out before the show...

I know that the Showbox is RIGHT across the street from the Pike Place Market! but that is about it LOL
I would call and ask them.. or email. They returned my email right away when i asked about hotels near there!

The ferry isn't too far away, but I'd grab a cab from it if you're planning on walking on. Be careful about the hotels right around the Showbox...lot's of 'by the hour' kinds of places (if ya know what I mean). Also, there's a bar attached to it, you can hang out there before the show (if you're over 21) and get in before the line. I'll be at the bar!! Anyone planning on going to Pioneer Square afterwards?!

I will be in the bar also.. It doesnt open until like 5 or something so i will be in line bofore that! ;)
Do u live close enough to down there to check out a few hotels for me before i book one so i dint get a "nasty" one LOL
I am 2 hrs away and that is just too far to drive just to check out a hotel!

Thanks for the reply according to walking to the show... so the reason you say, you would catch a cab is because the area is not so safe to walk at night?

I dont knowif it is THE best way but that is the way that I am going to do it.. my friend isnt 21 yet so she is going to stay in line and i am going to the "Green Room" and which ever of us gets better position is going to save the other a spot! :D

Hey Misty, there's a website called tripadvisor that has hotel reviews. I use it all the time when I plan out of town visits.

It's not exactly walking distance from the ferry...it's not too far, but it's not really walking distance so that's why I say take a cab...besides, any cab driver would know how to get there and you won't get lost ;)

It's downtown so it's all businesses around there, not many hotels. And as you can imagine, the ones downtown are pretty pricey like most cities. The Edgewater is pretty cool, it's on the waterfront near the ferry. The Marriott is downtown, but not as close as the Edgewater. Let me ask around work tomorrow...I live here, so I've never stayed in a hotel! haha

Hey Have a great time at the show!! I went on vacation to Seattle the first week in May...I had booked it in advance before i knew Elliott's tour schedule...damn had I known I would have scheduled it for the concert in Seattle on the 10th! While I was there I did do some 'mercenary marketing'at Easy Street Records in Queen Anne. They had one cd on the shelf and i thought cool...only one left. But then I saw down below six CD's in a box. I took them out and moved them and placed them in the Hot releases section. Oh and I picked one up for my self just to make sure the CD sounded as good in Seattle as it does in New York.

PS...it does!! And it goes great with coffee!!
