I received my tickets for the Pittsburgh concert in today's mail. :cheerleader: :cheerleader:

I guess we're supposed to let the old Pittsburgh thread die and post here now so I'll try to get it started.

I have been in contact by PM with a few E-trainers who might be attending the concert but so far Yaminilita is the only one beside me who has posted about it.

I live in Mississippi now but my hometown is 30 miles south of Pittsburgh and our family reunion is always the last Saturday in May each year. It was so funny a couple of weeks ago when on a Saturday afternoon I told my sister that since I was planning a visit in August I might just skip the reunion this year and just visit as many people as I could then. 6 hours later I called her and said "I'm definitely coming to the family reunion. :lol: I had just seen the tentative tour schedule. :rotfl:

I bought 6 tickets and so far I have 3 others besides myself who are definitely going. I haven't discussed much beyond that with my sister.

Yaminilita: we will be coming on 51 and then through the Liberty Tunnel. The directions from Mapquest look very simple after that with just a few turns so I doubt that we'll have any trouble finding the club.

It would be great if everybody from the forum could meet ahead of time. Of the people who are definitely coming with me, I have a cousin who absolutely loves Elliott, a sister who is only aware of him through me, and my sister's daughter-in-law who must like him because when my sister told her we were going she asked if she could come with us. I think I can win my sister over if she would just take time to listen to the CD I bought for her.

I hope everyone who even thinks they might attend this concert will join in the discussion.

I think it's time to bring the Pittsburgh thread back to the top as our concert is only a week away now.

Surely we have more Etrainers from the Pittsburgh area than 3 of us.

I'll find out more information once I get up to PA on Wednesday and start talking to people. What I've learned so far is that The Diesel is in Station Square and that it is next door to a Hooter's. That might be a good place for Etrainers to meet before the concert.

I've heard from loveelliott and Yaminlita so far. Would love to hear from others who are planning to attend the concert.

My friend Mindy & I are coming in from Columbus, OH area. We are gonna try to hook up w/ a broker contact from the bank where we used to work. He has agreed to chaperone us as he used to bartend in the area where the Diesel is. Look for us! We will be large & loud!! Cannot wait!!

I was told that the club was at Station Square but a cousin who works in the area said that it is not in Station Square but on what she called the South Side (which I gather is very, very close). My sister and I have to make arrangements with the 3rd person in our group and he won't be available until tomorrow. I will post a note as soon as I can share some specific details.
