Title: Radio And Records
Description: Hit Predictor, Top 40 promosquad

GypsyNFla - April 27, 2007 09:41 PM (GMT)
Is this the same as mediabase?

This list shows new releases that tested with hit potential prior to airplay. It is ranked in order of weekly BDS airplay detections,
updated each Monday. Elliott is presently shown as #39 on this list:

ETA: You can go to Elliott's song on the above link, listen and send feedback as well.

Humm.. Very interesting. The ranking of 39 is of actual airplay and is close to the current Mediabase ranking of 37. The Hit Predictor element is the column with the H Score - the 4th column from the left. If you click the Sort button, it appears that Wait for You falls at #12 on this list!!

Considering that these people seem to know their radio stuff, this is outrageously great news!!

Let's help and make this so! Request from your local station on a regular basis and mix it up with the different DJ's.

And in case you haven't found this yet, please keep checking the Radio Play Updates. You'll find the stations that have just been added, are building play, and also those that are decreasing play and need immediate attention. I'm keeping this updated on a daily basis so we can keep focused on contacting the stations with the greatest impact.

Movin, thanks for pointing out the "sort score." Elliott did really well on this; actually better than a few of the other songs that are already being played.

A paragraph highlighted on the page under "about hit predictor" says:

Songs are blind tested online by Promosquad using multiple listens and a nationwide sample of carefully profiled music consumers. Songs are rated on a 1-5 scale; final results are based on weighted positives. Songs with a score of 65 or more are judged to have Hit potential, although that benchmark number can fluctuate per format based on the strength of available music. Songs are ranked based on airplay detections according to data provided weekly by Broadcast Data Systems. © 2004. PromoSquad is a trademark of Think Fast LLC.

wowhesgood - April 28, 2007 01:51 PM (GMT)
Same w/ Umbrella....Lord, that song is horrible. (sorry if I offend anyone here)

SoulMusicRocks - April 28, 2007 03:57 PM (GMT)
WFY = awesome. Simple, but true equation. Top 40 WOOOOOO

alienhamster - April 28, 2007 04:22 PM (GMT)
EXACTLY my reactions: how in the world do "Umbrella" and "Summer Love" score so high? I actually liked Timberlake's last song, but this new one SUCKS big time. It sounds terrible.

All in all, great news.

shatner8 - April 28, 2007 05:26 PM (GMT)
Am surprised to see "Umbrella" as well on this list, am pretty sure this was one of the songs that was pitted against Elliott in one of those radio contests, he won hands down that night

Summer love is okay, but rated this high, surprised?!
I can remember the first time I heard Jt's song, What goes around, I knew it was going to be a huge hit song
Glad Elliott's song on the list, true top 40 song

tink50 - April 28, 2007 06:42 PM (GMT)
Has anyone else noticed that Elliott is sometimes listed under SONY/BMG?

I've seen this in a few different listings. Quite an error.......just saying.....

GypsyNFla - May 2, 2007 10:16 PM (GMT)
As of today, he's listed as #35.

I like Summer Love. A lot. I haven't seen a video with it. I didn't like Umbrella at all. But the video probably is selling the song.
