Title: How Can She Just Barge In. . .

With that crappy music (noise). There oughtta be a law against noise pollution on the radio! I have heard that Z100 might have Elliott Yamin music to be rated, so I got there. Rated, rated, but no Elliott! But out of nowhere comes someone who shrieks like a constipated hyena, and she is there to be rated! What was that? "Never Again? "

GypsyNFla - May 8, 2007 04:21 PM (GMT)
I didn't hear that one, but could it be worse than "This is Why I'm Hot?" :rotfl:

I also did two surveys today, one from the 4th and one due the 8th and neither had Elliott on them. I think it was last week or the week before they did have Wait For You on it. I know it is a big station here in NY, put I personally think it sucks! sorry, but I do. and yes the music I had to rate is soooooooooo played out that they really need some new stuff......like Wait for You....what is taking them sooooooooo long.

"Never Again" is Kelly Clarkson. I have been a HUGE fan of her since AI the first season :]
& agree. NOTHING can be worse then "This is why Im HOTT!"

haha. :]]

Whenever I hear those words..."This is why I'm hot... I say "No you're NOT hot, yu're NOT!" and then immediately change the station. I refuse to listen to that crappy song!

It is about the worst but I also do not like My Hump by Alanis Morrissette, yuck!

junker3 - May 8, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
my humps by black eyed peas and this is why i'm hot and money maker by ludacris....bleck!

wowhesgood - May 8, 2007 09:40 PM (GMT)
There are two My Humps (A Morrissette & BEP) and both are bad! Yikes, some of what I've listened to lately! Yesh!

Cheetah521 - May 8, 2007 09:44 PM (GMT)
hahaha, i really like "This is why i'm hot"...it's the beat, makes me think bout drivin in my car in the summer :hide: but "never again"...kelly kelly kelly....get back in the studio and record something that shows off your voice! I had forgetten how well she could actually sing til i heard her on Idol Gives Back.

On the topic of Kelly, it's actually quite unfortunate that her new album turned a bit angry and lost the beautiful melodies she had in her 'breakaway' album. She shouts out 'Never again' and while her voice is generally beautiful, she tends to get hoarse quite easily and fails in hitting the high notes when she's singing live. Her 'Never again' performance in the finale I thought was quite bad - she was straining and shouting during the each chorus, which was littered with so many high notes.

It reminds me of her during season 1. I do believe she has a beautiful voice and is deserving of being the vert first idol champ (and before anyone thinks I'm a Kelly hater, I actually have her 'Breakaway' CD). But when she was on the show, on several occasions her voice was just way too hoarse and strained. I am surprised how many people love her rendition of "I surrender" because for me that is one of the worst idol performances I have ever heard - her voice was breaking all over the place and I have never heard anyone strain as much on a song. Okay so she had laryngitis. Then I give her props for being a trooper and forcing her way through that song. But it would be her fighting spirit that I would rate highly, and not her vocals.

Oh and her "It's raining men" was not that much better either.

She also performed 'Since you've been gone' in Thailand some years back to raise funds along with a lot of other artists for the tsunami victims. I didn't see it myself, but a few friends of mine did, some of them big Kelly fans, and they did say she seemed to be quite hoarse and she didn't handle the big notes quite well.

Okay, Kellie's song is really bad IMO, but nothing can quite match the nausea I feel when I hear the suicidal Sean Kingston song every 20 minutes on z-100.Not to mention the fact that I would much rather be hearing Stand By Me by Ben E king, than Kingston's sample of it!

xtn4e - June 13, 2007 04:11 PM (GMT)
Let me do a search on Sean Kingston as I do not know who he is. i'll let you know what i think of him when i hear him LOL

chloewannabee - June 13, 2007 05:43 PM (GMT)
the song is called Beautiful Girl

ElliottisTrueBlue - June 13, 2007 06:04 PM (GMT)
Hey now I love "Never Again"...

And her new album is freakin' amazing, I think the deepest and most complex by any Idol so far....(and before anybody mentions E's album, I am talking material-wise, and there are still some cheesy songs on E's). And she actually sounds beautiful on the album...

ooh i just managed to dig up sean kingston's beautiful girls and he massacred the eternally beautiful 'Stand by me'. How awful was that?

I know that sampling great songs sometimes works. but not in this case. this was horrid. and his voice, well, i just don't like that vocal sound he produces. such a far cry from ben e. king...

I know!!!
I really dont say this to be mean, but there is something about his voice, that makes me believe he has some sort of serious speech impediment.I've never heard him speak, but I just don't get that singing voice. And yes I agree, SOMETIMES sampling works, but surely not in this case!

Chloe,
Every single time I hear that Suicidal song on the radio, I turn it off. I don't want my kids listening to those lyrics! The song makes me feel sick.

So many songs on the radio make us feel sad and annoyed. Wait for You is such a very pleasant song. The world would be a better place if there were more singers and song writers like Elliott.

chloewannabee - June 18, 2007 11:23 AM (GMT)
Aviva,
Yes, I agree, I think the lyrics are the #1 reason i cannot stand the song, with the voice coming in a close second! I think you are very wise, not to subject your children to it!
Too bad the people voting for it don't agree!
