Elliott always liked Melinda out of them all. And the night that he came back to the Idol, Melinda got the blessing of the 3rd place.
I like once again the way things got arranged. The one most talented singer in the competition gets the best of it without the contractual obligations.
It couldn't get any better!!!

Oh, I really think that 19E will pick up Melinda. She will still have the obligations, unfortunately. Hopefully they will direct her better because of her incredible talent. I mean the gal can sing anything! I don't feel bad for her however, because winning American Idol doesn't really mean anything...if they don't really like you.

Yes, i think the difference between melinda and elliott will be that 19E offers her a contract. I am sure they are regretting not signing E.

Yeah, they probably are regretting not signing E. Do you think that is why Simon didn't look too enthused after Elliott's wonderful performance the other night? Elliott sounded amazing. I think it was one of the best vocals ever on that stage. Maybe Simon was thinking that his wallet could have been a little fatter if they had picked up Elliott.

Didnt Bucky say 19E offered Elliott and contract and Elliott said no. whether they did or not im sad Blake got to the Finale.
IM ticked off, i wanted Blake in Melinda's spot. Melinda is going to be inthe same thing with Taylor, she has a great voice, her genre isnt big right now. Where Blake and Jordin are marketable beyond belief. I wanted Blake to be in the spot to chose what he wants to do. Im praying he stands up for what he wants and make a cd he wants. So im sad that my boy got to the finale, he should of gotten the blessing of 3rd.

But Simon Cowell doesn't sign them. Simon Fuller is 19E.

I think its better NOT to win.
Then you're not under AI contract.
Like Chris Daughtry, he probably wouldn't be this big if he had won.

Has anyone else heard the rumor that 19E has already signed Melinda? I'm wondering if it's true (and thinking it probably is)...
