Harley just called me - she's at the venue way early and she just met Russell, Ollie and other members of the band. She told them she was from the ETrain and gave them all hugs. She says they are all as warm and gracious as Elliott.

They have a BUS! We have a tour BUS! I knew thay would but for some reason that excites me! She said they were just putting up some kind of railings around the bus (probably to protect them from crazy fans like us!)

Anyway - it pays to get there early!

Update - Harley is still meeting band members - they didn't get to watch Elliott on Idol last night, so she told them where to go online to see it - they went back to the bus to watch!

That's so funny - because one of the band members was wearing a Harley Tshirt and Harley asked him if he had a Harley - he said no - she said - Well I Do - maybe she WILL take him for a ride :lol:

OK - I'll let Harley fill you in when she gets to a computer, but she says Everybody Loves Elliott! Birchmere was great - she had front row seats. As expected, Josh is a mess (in a good, fun way). The band is great - we've all got a lot to look forward to!

Just back from The Birchmere - Elliott was great - the band sounds fantastic and Josh did a nice job (especially on backup vocals). Favorite songs were One Word, Wait For You, A Song for You, I'm The Man, Take My Breathe Away. Even my husband, who isn't really an "Elliott fan" thought he did an awesome vocal on Song for You and that his voice was really in excellent form tonight! :glomp:

She better be mastering her new camera!! She promised me lots and lots of photos!!

Wow, what fun!! Back to concert recaps....LOVE IT!!!

You can tell that he is still a bit nervous being the center of attention - he did actually forget a couple of lines :rocker: in one of the songs (One Word) but he said that he has only been able to practice with the band a couple of times due to his hectic schedule - I am sure as he works through the rest of the tour he will become much more at ease and comfortable with the band and the stage. His voice is such a gift !

Okay, I'm still shaking from tonight's events. TX, sorry didn't get a lot of pictures, weren't supposed to have cameras in there but some did. Wendy got some pics and she will post. I did take a pic of the sign by the road with their names on it, the tour bus, and one of my new best friend Erin which I will post when I figure out how to download.

Anyway as Linda posted I got to meet all of the band members before hand except for the drummer Felix (not sure of the spelling). Let me just say that Elliott was AWESOME. I was so close, lets say less that 5 feet. There is a lot of love among the band and you can feel it. Josh said he voted for Elliott last year on American Idol and told the story of how they met.

Elliott started with Alright which got everyone moving right off. I swear when he came out I don't think his feet were touching the ground. He was so excited. He told everybody to get up and move. If you're supposed to mind you p & qs there like the rules say, it wasn't happening tonight. The crowd showed their appreciation all night long. He closed with A Song For You with just keyboards.

I hung around inside and met Josh Hoge, what a character. You will love this guy. Then when I went outside found out Elliott and the band were outside by the bus. I went around there and Elliott was surrounded so I yelled for my new best friend Erin and he came over to me and gave me a hug and told me he saw me in there and I was like the "best fan ever". His words. Let me tell you ladies, his eyes are beautiful and he is so sweet.

So then I got enough nerve to go over and say something to Elliott, I told him I wanted to say Hi from Amandarhea and myself and that I was her HarleyMom. He repeated HarleyMom and then he went (I almost died when this happened), Oh, you're HarleyWoman. I'm not lying. I said you know who I am and he said "of course, I know who HarleyWoman is".

Okay at this point I'm really all fangirly and I run back over to my new best friend Erin and I said, Elliott knows who I am. He said that Elliott was such a sweet guy. Then Erin and I get down to serious business talking motorcycles. I showed him a picture of me on my bike and he was totally impressed.

Sorry if I rambled on, I'm on such a high right now.

Oh ok harley, that's cool.

He did sing Trainwreck (that's when he introduced the other members of the band), but not WSOP - which I really was hoping he would sing. He also did I'm in Love with You Forever - I really like that song on the bonus track and he did a great job of it live.

He came out wearing a green t-shirt and a hat (not a baseball cap), but it was so hot (or was it him that was - ha) that he kept taking off the hat - I personally like it better when he doesn't wear a hat - I love the hair especially when it is off his face and out of his eyes like it was tonight. You could tell that he was so happy to be where he is right now - going on tour and having a blast!

I love this guy...he makes me smile :glomp:
