TOUR HAS STARTED!!!

so the 1st week of shows have passed and lets just say, this tour is off to a rocking start! the 1st show was in alexandria va, and besides the fact that my crew and elliotts crew got food poisoning (except the assholes that ate fish= elliott, eric, joony, felix) WHO EATS FISH, BE A MAN AND EAT REAL MEAT!!! hahaha. other than that the show was great! great crowd, great response. great meeting everyone there as well after the show!

the 2nd show was in richmond va, which is elliotts home town so i knew this one would be good, but even i was surprised how good it was!!! i did a show last december with nelly furtado and there were 4,000 people there (which was the biggest crowed ive played to, UNTIL RICHMOND VA!!! elliott brought out about 6,000 folks and IT WAS ON!!! he killed it in front of his home folks!!! ata boy "e. yamizzle"! (thats elliotts rap name fyi) great to meet tons of you, and a shout out to the nice peeps from the e-train! for those who dont know much about elliott his friends/fanbase have a community (hate saying fanclub) called the e-train. they had a little afterparty and me and my boys stopped in and crashed the party after the show. thanks guys for having us!

so on to the 3rd show. this was in sayreville nj, and the show itself was a blast! a few of the people that worked at the club made my first nj experience suck actually, but thats a different story. i know im not in the south anymore but there should be classes taught all over the country on "southern hospitality" OR maybe they could just call it "how not to be a dick"? anywho, the show was great, the crowd was too, and again great meeting all you new faces after shows!!!

we move on thru the east coast this week so i will have a round 2 update for you next week! until then, be safe thanks again for coming out early and seeing me play, and you should all road trip to more shows with all your friends!!!

ps- wanted to answer a few quick questions i have been getting asked a lot...

1. the norva show was postponed last night cause of a conflict in elliotts schedule. it is rescheduled for august 8.
2. the 2 guys in my crew on this tour are my guitar player steve, and my road mgr zach.
3. yes i will be at the merch table every night after shows saying hi, pictures, signing stuff, yada yada, AND NO I CANT INTRODUCE YOU TO ELLIOTT, SO YOU'LL HAVE TO HUNT HIM DOWN YOURSELF!!! haha.
4. you can buy the cd on this myspace page or at the shows.
5. its hard for me to pull double duty with opening and singing bgvs for elliott so i took a night off the other night with him, and we're gonna work it out to me just sitting in on some of his songs instead of all.

BTW, at the E-Train afterparty I was talking with Steve and we determined that the culprit on the food poisoning must have been the chicken. Guess who also had the chicken, yours truly, who also was not doing well Friday morning.

THanks for posting. Great to see the etrain mentioned thanks to all you VA fans.

Now to tell Josh VA is still considered the south lol. Actually in my travels too GA, I found the strongest southern accents through there. I can understand what he means by southern hospitality though.... people do tend to be a bit nicer further south. Must be the nice weather. where is Josh from? Lets see what he has to say about us Yankees now.

Josh is from Nashville. He wasn't talking about VA when he talked about not being in the sourth anymore, he was talking about NJ.

Thanks! It wasn't a bad case for either of us I believe. I was better by the afternoon and Steve was better that evening.

I am so sorry to hear you were sick. I’m not trying to be crass, but it is a good thing you made it home first, I can’t get the vision of you being sick while riding your hog, and the shock of the drivers behind you commenting on the size of the bugs hitting their windshield.

I love him. I've been a huge fan of Josh's since last July when he opened for Ryan Cabrera. I've seen him a LOT since then. I'm glad people here at etrain (where I'm VERY new!) like him as much as they do. He's so talented! And Steve is an absolutely amazing person (hate that he got food poisoning-I'll have to make fun of him for that hahaha) that I just adore. Zach is pretty fun too. I love that crew! Can't wait to see them with Elliott! What a great combination!!!!!!! :)

That was a fun read. Josh is a hoot! Enjoyed seeing him in Richmond. We were wondering why he didn't do background vocals for Elliott in NJ, now we know. Thanks for posting here HW. :elliottcap:

I wonder if Elliott or one of his crew has a video camera with them (probably). Wouldn’t it be great to see some recaps of the tour from Elliott and the bands perspective? It would be fun to watch a little recap at the end of the tour including camaraderie between them while traveling and performing. I’m sure they are all having a blast.

It would be a fun thing to watch on Elliott’s and Josh’s myspace.
