I really hadn't watched much of Ai since Elliott's elimination but decided to watch the finale tonight. Yep I was furious that Elliott was not mentioned. I 'm SICK of Clive and TPTB of AI. I turned the tv off. I'm boiling right now!

Agree with OG, except he did keep saying the (rather vague) "American Idol franchise." Elliott may or may not belong to that depending on what the term means.

I read somewhere that E will sing on the FInal's after party. I hope someone will get that on tape. I am sure Clive and everyone else will be there. Let E rock the house and let RCA begs him some more!

on another note, the final tonight was so bland...I fell asleep, literally, in the middle of the show.

I didn't think Clive was too nice to Taylor and Kat either....all for Chris. His true colors came shining through ($$$$$$). Very bright green.... :lol:

What happened to Katherine.....did she appear.........this finale sucked. I actually feel asleep during Gwen Stefani and other parts. I am happy for Jordan and her parents though.....and what's up with the 70 million votes.....that's a load of crap.......who the hell is voting......I don't even think the public is believing that when Ryan said it.

I agree. Much as I don't care for Kat, she was the runner up. Something just doesn't seem right here. I think we'll be hearing something more about this.

Clive basically threw Taylor and Kat under the bus tonight.

I detected a bit of "throwing under the bus" when Clive mentioned Taylor's and Kat's names tonight after the crazy Daughtry pimping.

Once again, it must be said: Elliott is MUCH better without these people.

He said something like:

They may drop Katharine PDQ, especially since she is now under 5K per week in sales.

TPTB put on a pretty good face when Katharine was "unable to appear" at so many of the AI Concert Tour stops. I always wondered how they really felt about it. I think we know now.

I just visited a couple Kat boards, and they are devastated.
I suggest no gloating or snark tonight.

I watched the AI finale tonight and kept hearing intermittant sucking sounds. Yes, it was parts of the show. But, of course, without Elliott parts of it were bound to suck. It just seemed so disjointed that I was kind of sad for the top 12.

I thought it was embarrassing of Clive to give the speech he did - embarrassing for Tay and Kat. I like Chris and "Home" and "It's Not Over" but I am getting a little tired of them since I hear them every four minutes on the radio.

Thank GOODNESS Clive didn't want Elliott ' cause now Ell is happy and we're happy. I didn't expect him to be mentioned. I'm grateful that they had him on this season and that we got to see him on the show again and we got to hear him sing. I'm still puzzled as to why?! they had him on. But, we all know that AI is a little weird. Just thankful that it gave us Elliott and that he is doing so freaking amazing!!!

Elliott is supposed to sing at the after party. I figure I know what will happen. He'll be too hip for the room and they'll have him arrested! Run, Elliott, run!

borderline boring to me.........nothing exciting....

What was with Sanjaia getting to sing a solo and Lakesia, Chris R and Phil not getting to sing one???

Where was poor Cat (not that I am a fan, B U T........) I thought it was rude not to have her on. I feel really sorry for her fans!!!

This years entire finale was not even in the same class as last years.

I seems Clive is all about Carrie now as well, she again sings her song, receives an award and sings in the medley. Basically, it is all about the units, next yr, Chris will probably sing at the finale, get the award, etc. Taylor and Kat will be history

Only people under contract to him as far as I know. I didn't tape the show and didn't hear every word or watch it every minute. But, I think he mentioned Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson. But, I could be wrong. I didn't hear everything because of those annoying sucking noises!
