While I definitely agree that Elliott's appearance on AI has helped his positioning on charts and sales I also think that there are many other factors working for him as well.
WFY has gained significantly in radio station adds and spins so his listening audience has grown a lot. Many of those stations are in very large markets. Also WFY finally getting a spot on America's Top 40 has helped.

Congrats Elliott! They're playing him at least once an hour here in Kuala Lumpur (at least that's what I heard at work today). Cant wait to finally get myself a CD coz if he's a hit, the record shop here will finally carry the CD! (all I have are mp3s from Itunes and friends)
I think Wait For You will move up even higher. Hopes to see a Top Ten soon!

FINALLY...it's about time. Alabama radio stations are now playing Elliott's single WFY. Dunno if it's because it hit the top 40, but I was so EXCITED to finally hear him hit the air waves here. I've been requesting it for quite some time. I first heard it (on the radio that is) while on vacation at the beach this past week on Island 106 in Panama City Beach, FL. WZYP 104.3 is playing it regularly now in Huntsville, AL.
