I wrote this for my myspace blog if something sounds funny..lol! :)



OMG...So words CANNOT EVEN DESCRIBE the show On Tuesday Night @ the Bowery Ballroom NYC! WOOHOO! and I'm still in shock i think that i actually got to MEET ELLIOTT FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY! And yes, it was BETTER than i even dreamed it would be!

So here we go,

I made sure my boyfriend was home BY 2:30pm sharp so we could get into the city before 4pm to avoid the MASSIVE TRAFFIC during rush hour :) We made it there without a problem and the traffic was light..Once we found the venue we decided to go get a bite to eat and a couple drinks since we got there at like 4:30pm so we went to this bar and grill place (with the most DISGUSTING bathroom...ICK) but the food was pretty good and they had Yuengling ON TAP... :) We hung around and stopped in a few stores..i bought a NY Dolls T-shirt and until later that night i thought i had these women on the front of my shirt, but turns out that it's all guys..LOLOL! I never heard of the NY DOLLS so how was I to know, right?! So we headed to ballroom/club about 6 oclock and started waiting on line...it was already Forming big time but we were up pretty much in the front area...This big guy comes out and tells everyone pretty much that Elliott was coming on at 10pm and Josh comes on at 9pm....HOLY...all you heard out there was WHAT???? WHAT??? that's almost 4 hours from now...lol! I still didn't care..I WAS NOT MOVING! They finally opened the doors at about 7:20 or so we had plenty of time to drink up and see the E~trainers, however i really didn't talk to many of them ~ not to mention i'm pretty shy and almost NEVER walk up to people that i dont' know...lol..sometimes WISH i was more outgoing..Only when you KNOW ME am I, and BOY AM I! LMAO! It was just sooo great to see all that Elliott Love ;) Someone made a really Cool Banner saying "Elliott Yamin ~ The New Luther" and then had all the fans sign it and after the show it was given to Elliott and HE DID GET IT in his hands...which was really nice! :) Immediately upon opening up those doors about 8 rows formed INSTANTLY right in front of the stage and were then on in literally a BRICK WALL! HAHA~ Somehow we miraculously met up with these 2 girls who insisted that i come up to the front row with them...Was i gonna Say NO? I don't THINK so, plus the fact that this was the FIRST TIME EVER seeing him and i've been waiting LIKE FOREVER to see him, i was purely ecstatic!!! The girls were a bit tipsy and sorta rowdy, not real bad..but they were excited too and were much more full of energy than i was, but they were nice enough to me & Fran and got me to the front row!......I have to admit though that i almost had my arm ripped out of it's socket a few times...lol...those fans werent having ANYONE squeeze in front of them...But I hung on and no one was crazy about us getting through~ I'm sure a few were saying "where do you think your going?" (sorry to anyone that i might've annoyed) I was about to let go and go back..it almost seemed not worth it BUT i changed my mind in a second...and i'm so glad i did cuz OMG...it was the BEST SHOW EVER! btw..those 2 girls were causing some commotion once we got to the front row and someone called security and they took the girls out...there i am just standing there..feeling bad that they got me up there and were kicked out but i just stood there all quiet and short, not bothering anyone and just sang my heart out with my boy! The girls wound up back at the front row again and they called security again i think...they were bickering now with each other..they were roommates...lol! It was pretty funny and i kept saying Girls...Elliott is Love...let's not fight and get kicked out again! they were okay after that anyways for a while! I'll never forget them and thank them for befriending me and dragging me up with them!

Josh came out first and he was amazing really...i'm a big fan now...Great Choice for Elliott to have Josh with him ;) He sang "Ain't no sunshine" and I really loved it...i have a clip of it that i will post too! The videos of Elliott though i can't seem to post cuz the files are too large? :( they're not even 2 minutes long so i just don't get that!) So MAD about it though....i have one that's about a minute long that I was able to post but the sound quality is not good but you can see how close i really was :) woohoo! Okay, So just before 10pm Elliott comes out like he's just hanging at a friends house..all floppy hair and gorgeous smile from ear to ear (i miss his old messed up teeth) SO CUTE...i was just AWESTRUCK...i think that's the word...lol i mean, he was RIGHT THERE only a few feet from me!...lookin all cute and HAPPY! He kicked off the show with "ALRIGHT" which was AWESOME.....He sang pretty much the his whole CD and a few covers! I was sooo frazzled and crazy i can't even remember EVERY song he sang..i was in an Elliott Trance... Big time! I gots me a cute Elliott T-Shirt too~ He played until about 11:15 or so and i WANTED MORE! So we all get outside and people were hanging around waiting, including me OF COURSE, met some great people too and also a Diana Fan that i've been corresponding with for 3 years now and finally got to meet her too...that was cool Jamie ;) I had NO IDEA if i was even going to be able to see him...the bouncer said that he usually doesn't come out for like 2 hours after to show to well, not be bombarded with crazies...like ME! I never planned on actually meeting him but i HOPED and PRAYED for it! So FINALLY, just as we were about to leave AFTER OVER AN HOUR of waiting after the show HE WALKS OUT....Amazing! Simply E-Mazing!... He was sweet as ever and immediately had posters, cds, markers, you name it he had it in his face...lol~ I was pretty much next standing next to him BUT didn't want to like fall all over him while others were getting pics and stuff, every time i tried someone else would be in his asking again..lol They were all getting pics and autographs SO MY BOYfriend had to give me a lil shove and say something along the lines of "Put your BigGirl Panties on and SHove your way to him NOW or you'll regret it forever!" MAN, was he right...so i did it :) Elliott was just too cute...I asked him for an autograph which i had my cd cover and sharpie marker IN HAND (thanx to jamie for the marker) and he's says "sure sweetheart"...he even made sure he spelled my name right on my cd cover...... I just was able to tell him how much of a major fan i was and how excited i was that i got to see him live and meet him :) I gots me a big hug and he took a picture with me and I went HOME on Cloud 9...a happy lil camper~ We didn't get home until like 2am but i'd do it again in a HEARTBEAT! (my boyfriend Fran was very good with me and let me have my night) he's not an elliott fan :( how dare he...But he really enjoyed the show and appreciates him a whole bunch after seeing him...he really liked Josh alot! so did I! Fran even met up with Josh after he sang ~ Josh was just hanging out watching the show from the back ~ so I got to meet him and chat with him a bit...he is one Fine GUY with a heck of a great voice! Woohooo...he was super sweet and nice also :)

I still CAN'T believe i actually got to meet him! It's still sooo surreal! I mean he's all i've been talking about for over a year already, my family and friends just started ignoring me when i talk Elliott...what they call it! lol BUt you know, they WER ALL SO Happy For me though :) :etrain:

I took pics and will post them in the concert pic topic as soon as i can get them there! It was sooo wonderful!

:elliottelliott: btw~~those girls talked loudly, and RUDELY throughout the whole Josh part of the program...everyone around us was complaining...did you think I was gonna let them do THAT during Elliotts performance!???? One of them said she didnt even like E...reason enough to be kicked out!lol

lol...yeah, i know they were talking loudly and pretty rudely but i didn't hear one say she didn't like elliott.....i woulda kicked her out myself if i heard that....it was one of those things where i was like "but i'm standing right here in front of elliott practically" but dang, i feel really bad...#1 that they brought me up to the front...i wouldn'tve been that far back though but my love 4 elliott inside said i want front row...lol! i was praying they would keep it down but it just got worse...they drank way too much...i was getting upset too a bit like no, not when elliott is on...stop it...I just wanted to be quiet and enjoy Elliott :) which i did...do you know those girls both got a pic with elliott when he was still inside after the show...they came out after and showed me their pics...i'm like "how the heck did ya do that?" i guess they were waaaay more aggressive than me..lol! well, all that aside it was just the best thing ever for me to see and meet him finally :)

lol Mel...don't feel like a dork...i feel like a dork when i see how many posts i've had compared to everyone else here...! i guess i've become addicted to the whole myspace thing....it's hard to keep up with everything...hehe!

thanx for the comments and YES, i still can't believe it! I can't stop talking about the show and Elliott himself...my poor boyfriend...must be going nutz...he really was a good sport though i have to say! :) i'M JUST so happy and now i want to see him again and again and again!!!

I love reading these recaps. Yours was a lot of fun to read, love4elliott. I saw Elliott in Richmond a week ago and would love to see him again too. I finally got to speak to him briefly and shake his hand at the CD signing here at Circuit City in March. Would love to get one of those hugs one day...... :wub:

Good for you, l4e. You were even more agressive than you gave yourself credit for--you've met and hugged Elliott! I was there, but maybe I just didn't want to disturb him after the tons of energy that he expended on that SHOW OF SHOWS.

I was at the Bowery show too and off to the side where I was standing, there was no shortage of rude people. There was a group of gay guys being catty about Josh and Elliott's brother...and then one had the nerve to say that Elliott is not as good looking in person as he looks on TV. Well I was not gonna let that go by without some sort of retaliation...I noticed the guy (who was no looker in person himself!!) had on flip-flops. So on the way out I stepped on his foot...nice and hard!! I said Oh sorry dude!! And as he limped away...a smile came across my face!! It's one thing for Simon to criticize in Hollywood...but don't mess with my boy in NYC!! :naughty:

I think it captures his joy at being where he is in his life...it makes me so happy for him. He deserves all that is happening to him and more!! I have been a crazy fan of many people in my life...but this is first time I FEEL PROUD of an artist...I honestly feel like he's my kid brother and I beam with pride just thinking about the things he is accomplishing. Imagine how we are all gonna feel when he wins his FIRST GRAMMY!!

Oh believe me...I MEANT TO!! And just so everyone knows...I'll be wearing cleats to the next show...SO LOOK OUT!!

I had a miserable, lousy crappy day today!! I came home and logged on to ETrainstation and oddly enough the page opened up to this picture!! I felt better right away...Thanks again!! Oh and I found out right after that that I got a call back for an interview for a job I really want!! Elliott is turning into a good luck charm for me!! Wish me luck!!! :elliottcap:
