Just got back from the Lancaster show. It was the most awesome experience. Seeing Elliott up close and personal like this is such a thrill. I would be so happy seeing him in concerts like this for the rest of my life.

I got to the Chameleon Club a little after 2:30. I didn't want to have to worry about traffic getting into Lancaster (about 35 minutes from Harrisburg) or finding a parking spot. Plus, I wanted to make sure I was early so I could get a good spot up front. There was no one around the Club which is on a little side street. I walked around the block and found Elliott's bus on the street parallel to the club. There was a back entrance here to the stage. WeloveElliott was there with her adorable grandaughter, Victoria. She told me that she heard that Elliott was not on the bus, but she was going to wait anyway. I decided to take a walk for a while and look in some of the shops nearby. I thought there was always the chance that Elliott might be strolling around.

About an hour later, I had seen no sign of Elliott and walked back to the main entrance of the Club. There were some benches across the street and I sat down in the shade. Eventually, other fans started arriving and I let them all know that the bus was around the corner. I met a nice couple from Carlisle and we stood outside the parking garage for nearly an hour talking. We finally decided to start a line at the front of the Club and walked across the street. It was now about 4:45, and I was first in line.

Oosh, whom I had seen earlier, joined up with me and we had an enjoyable time talking to a few of the people behind us. Oosh had gotten to talk to Elliott (and get a picture with him) at a coffee shop a little earlier; hopefully she'll share her story with us. Finally, the doors were opened about 6:40, and we all piled in. I got the perfect spot - middle front. I saved a spot for Victoria and her grandmother, who brought along Carol (Itslate) and her son. So great to meet them. I got great pictures and I'll be posting them as soon as I can figure out how to do it.

Josh came on at 7:30 and was fantastic. He sat on a stool for all but his last number. He was all over the stage singing the last one. As others have said, he does a great set and tells some funny stories; especially about his love affair with Elliott :eyebrows: One especially funny thing for me was seeing his guitar player Steve wearing two different sneakers. I grabbed a picture so you can all see it. I asked Josh later about it and he told me that Steve does this all the time. He was thrilled that someone had finally noticed.

Finally, it was Elliott's turn. Words cannot describe just how incredible he was. His energy is amazing. He started sweating immediately. He came out wearing a newsboy cap, but it didn't stay on long. The sweat was just pouring out of him. It was puddling on the floor. One of the staff had to come up and mop up the floor on his hands and knees. I think they were afraid Elliott would slip. Elliott reached down and moved his cap which he had thrown on the floor to the back to keep it dry. He kept pulling his left sleeve up and mopping his face with it. He had a towel which he wore around his shoulders for a while and a couple of times he poured water over his head.

He looks so happy up there. And he just grabs you in and takes you on this amazing journey. He is constantly moving and smiling and dancing. During WFY he started slapping hands in the audience. He continued doing it during Moving On. He gets enourmous pleasure at seeing us singing along. And you know that the gratefullness that he expresses to us is genuine.

When it was over, I couldn't leave. I wanted to bask in the glory of the evening forever. I bought an Elliott shirt and talked to Josh for a minute. The staff seemed in no hurry to get the 20 or so of us who stayed behind to leave. It was like they understood. I heard an announcement near the stage that "Elliott has left the building", but still no one left. After ten minutes or so, I decided to force myself outside. Some were making their way around the corner to the bus and I found myself joining them. And there was Elliott just standing there like he had all the time in the world talking to some fans. He was so relaxed. He looked like he had showered and so very handsome. (I've got great pictures!) So I waited until nearly everyone got some time with him and then went up to him. I thanked him for agreeing to go on the USO tour; told him that I had a son in the military and I wanted him to know what an effect this would have on our soldiers. He told me that they probably wouldn't go to the middle east. I said that was fine; what was important was that he volunteered to entertain our troops and no matter where he did it, it would make an impact. Funny thing - he kept calling me "m'am" (I am after all, old enough to be his mother). But I finally asked him to not do do that, that it was okay to call me "sweetheart", which he did. Loved it!. Then I got the famous Elliott hug, and my day/night was complete.

I hung around and took a few more pictures. And got a picture with Elliott along with WeloveElliott and Itslate. Elliott stayed until everyone had had a chance to get a picture or an autograph. As he was getting on the bus, and I was walking away, I heard someone ask him if she could take a picture of him getting on the bus. He said sure, got off the bus and then posed for what was probably the 200th picture that night. He must have been completely exhausted, but he didn't show it. He was so gracious and grateful and once again I fell in love with him.

That's funny he called you ma'm, Elliott is so polite. But you did said it right just call you "sweetheart". :rotfl:

I'm glad he's so available to his fans. And that he is still able to be seen on the street corner or in coffee shops just being a regular guy. I am still basking in my Elliott experience from Pittsburgh! Anyone else check out his hair? And yes, someone get him a fan! He's small enough w/o losing more weight from sweating on stage! Take care of our boy!

Great post...makes me jealous...and I already had the good fortune to see him twice!! In this day and age of disposable celebrities, Elliott is such a breath of fresh air. I get much more of a thrill reading about these concerts than I do about Lindsay Hilton or Paris Lohan!!

I think the only time I know about was Richmond last July when he was being pulled in a million directions. He was stressed out is what I heard, but totally understandable. I felt for him.

Seeing Elliott I have no words he is just an amazing young man! as you say he takes you in and takes you for a ride through your soul that you will NEVER forget! I was driving home and thinking about the day and I had tears in my eyes. Elliott steals your heart and soul. The most gracious person I have met in a long time!

I was there too. Elliott clearly loved the crowd... everyone was packed in so it was very loud! He said it was the "loudest crowd ever" early on, then near the end repeated that and said it was the "best crowd." Then I heard him say that again afterwards at the bus. So he had a great time.

Josh by the way said he watched all the videos of Elliott that we've been posting.

I love how you wrote how much he LOVES when we all sing along and you can see it so clearly on his face, That is SOOO true...he really does and he loves also just at that point at which he's about to belt something out really loud, that silence just before it when everyone in the whole place starts screaming...yeah that part! It shows and he smiles soo much like WOW, they really love me...they really do.! I love how he's still so humble and he is quite shy and jittery/nervous...that twidling with his finger...it's tooo cute! okay, i have to stop cuz i could just keep on going :awe:

Well I guess I'll do my recap here: I'm really beat today. I'm not as young as I used to be lol.

My 11yo son and I left our house about 12:30, planned on meeting weloveUElliott there for lunch and scope out the Chameleon club. I arrived about 2PM. Got great directions from a Chris fan I was meeting there later. We parked across the street, called WeloveUElliott who was almost at the club. When she pulled up there were 3 police cars pulling in behind her. I was like HUH? Only to find out the headquarters was just around the corner... and that's where they parked. She had only gotten out of the car to ask the driver for change. :rotfl:

Well we thought we'd go around the other side of the building, just to see if that was the entrance. The Chameleon club is very small... about the size of a large row home in the city... very narrow... it had a torn black and white stripped awning and a large vertical sign saying Chameleon up a smaller street. So when we went around to the other side, that was actually on the main street and was actually the back of the building...lo and behold the bus was parked there. There were two other girls waiting to see if Elliott was in the bus... don't think they were there too long. WeloveUElliott was toting a small princess chair for her grand-daughter.. thinking a line might have been forming around that corner... so we just set it up there... with Victoria and her sign... Will you be my boyfriend :). Well it was a nice place to just sit and chat with each other and the other girls. Dan and I went to grab a bite to eat a little later, and later on more people came, and so did my friend the Chris fan. Who went to grab a spot in line around the corner for us while we waited for Elliott. He did come out and signed a few things for some, and then went in the building for a sound check. It was great to get a preview of One word, we could hear through the opened door. He later came out and that's when he got to talk w/ Victoria, I said a few words to him.. always feel like it's mumble jumble lol. But he said he remembered me. Heck it was just Friday lol and the Delaware concert. I'm over Eloaded lol.

The concert, well I can't say much more than it's more than I always expect, which is a lot :). Thanks cfans for letting my son join the other kids in the front. He really did have a good time, he said it all the way home. It was quite loud, and my ears are still ringing... but not the band, the fans... how we/they love him. ain't no stopping him now. And it just got better and better, filled w/ E love the minute he started WFY. Many must also be familiar w/ Movin On! And everyone was singing ASFY. How I love that he's getting the love and recognition he deserves! What a wonderful voice!

I do want to say, I hope this wasn't an etrainer, but the drummer went to hand my son his drumsticks, put them right in his face... and some girl reached over and grabbed them right out of the drummers hand. Broke my sons heart. I know if it was Dan, he would have given her one. He was heart broken. It wasn't very nice, but I could only guess the excitement was rampid.

After the concert WeloveUElliott and myself didn't want to get greedy, or so we thought, just wanted a cup of coffee. So we asked one of the bouncers there if they knew where to get coffee... just happened to be right across from the bus. So we headed around the corner once again. Yep, Elliott was there! I'm telling you this night meeting Elliott, was less rushed. He was like hanging out. Reminded me of the days hanging out in the city with my friends :). He made sure he got to speak with everyone there, and gave them all his utmost attention. We just simply grabbed a picture... WeloveUElliott, Cfans, and myself... all saying etrain! With his hectic schedule, he still makes it all about the fans. He looked great, all cleaned up and relaxed. I actually think he was enjoying this :).

Oh well, no more concerts for me until he circles back around. All to none! But reading everyone's recaps makes me feel just like I've been there.

Thanks to the etrain and Elliott for making this old girl a kid again :). Will post pictures soon.

Itslate, I remember your saying how much you missed your 4 o'clock cup of coffee! See, it was a good thing you had the extra urge for one after the concert.

Your son was so funny. I really enjoyed teasing him about him being so tired but not wanting to sit on the floor. I am so sorry about the drumsticks. I will never understand how some people can be so uncaring when it comes to kids. I hope those two girls realized as they were going home what their greed did to Dan and they feel sorry about it.

I look forward to our next meeting at an Elliott event. Give Dan a hug for me, okay? It was a real pleasure for me to meet both of you.

Great recaps!!! If I had used my brain when I made my plane reservations in April I would have been right there with you in Lancaster instead of on a plane heading home on Tuesday.

The story of the drumsticks made me recall what could have been an incident in Pittsburgh. Elliott threw his towel into the crowd and at first there were at least 3 sets of hands on it, all grown females. I was on the second floor looking down so I got a good view. One conceded but the other two started to play tug of war and it looked like neither was willing to concede. They were talking while they were tugging and I have no idea who won. I assume it was settled amicably--maybe with joint custody. :rotfl:

Not sure which concert but two E-trainers had joint custody of an ELLIOTT concert towel and they auctioned it off to give the proceeds to Juvenile Diabetes. Could the same. There was a thread about it. Very nice of them.

Hi everyone this is my first post.

Don't have much time but I just wanted to say "hi" to some of the ladies we met out at the buses. itslate....that was me and my sister-in-law that were there waiting when you got there. We were waiting since 1pm. We had a blast. You all were so nice and I couldn't believe how nice Elliott was!! Of course we met him at his bus before hand, then again b/c I had won Meet and Greet passes, then after that Kick Ass Awesome show we went to the buses again and got pictures. He was chatting with us which seemed like forever. He was so nice to everyone there waiting. We decided to leave, and thought we'd drive past him, and I saw he changed. we parked and ran up b/c we noticed he was wearing the shirt Robyns gave him, we took some pictures and left. Best night of my life!!!

It was by far the BEST concert I have ever been to, and I have been to a LOT of concerts. His energy on stage was great. I can't wait till the next time we get to see him!!!!

Sounds like you had a perfect Elliott day! Lets just say I was beat by the time I got home, and took a day to recoup. So was the meet and greet right before the concert? You weren't sure that's what you won were you? What a nice surprise!
