So I was telling my friends in Vancouver to go see Elliott after the NYC area shows and they ended up convincing me to visit them for the weekend and go to the show w them. The weather was pretty crappy most of the day. We got to the Commodore around 4 after eating and shopping. I saw Zack (Josh Hoge's merch guy) andhe was like you're in Canada. And I said yea so are you hahaha....Around 5ish we went to the front and I met Misty. She's so sweet! Thanks for everythingg!!!
My friends and I left to get some coffee bc we were all wet and tired. Around 7 we went back and the line was forming. They had 1 line for everything. I was a little ticked off but I got over it. We got inside at 8 and no one was standing by the stage! People had gone to sit down and everything. I was super shocked! I have to say the venue did have a dinner thing I think so ppl sat down. Misty, my friends and I claimed spots front row center. My friends had warned me Vancouver doesn't know how to do GA shows but I didn't believe her. I went back to the merch booth to talk to Zack and mohawk guy for a bit. I convinced my friends to buy Josh's cd so we made several trips back there. Finallllly it was show time. Josh was even better than usual. By the end of his set my friends were in LOVE w him. We saw Elliott dancing on the side for a bit during his set. Elliott finally came out at 10:30 and he just lite up the place. I turned around around the floor was getting packed so I was happy. Elliott was dancing,singing and having such a great time. I dare say he was even more on point than Bowery? I don't know bc he is pretty amazing!! It was Ollie's bday and they brought out a cake for him and sang happy bday to him. He was blushing like crazyy. I felt tears coming on when he sang Wait for You and A Song For You and One Word. He gets me every time. After he was done he said he would be in the back to sign and meet ppl. We went to the back to meet Josh. He was so darn cute and we made jokes about the threesome pic hahaha
Elliott came out soon after that and they didn't have sharpies for him so I gave them mine and the security guy let me cut the line. I felt bad bc my friends couldn't come with. Talking to Elliott is even better than the last time. He kept one of the pics of us from NJ. He thanked me for coming so far and wanted me to go to seattle. I told him I couldn't get a flightout in time to get me to work on Mon and he was like awww...well get home safe then. *insert doofus grin*
I went w my friends to get on the regular line and then I told them I would take their pics w Elliott and it worked out just fine. I was laughing bc security said no pics w him and everyone kept doing "myspace pics" w him. He is always gracious and happy to try and accomodate fans. There is no other artist that would take the time to meet fans after performing. He is one of a kind!!!
Now I'm here sitting at SeaTac airport and I wish I was at the show. It would beat sitting here for 2 more hrs till my flight booo.....pics to come tomorrow after work.

I saw him in Sayerville,NJ and at Bowery Ballroom,NYC. I obviously live in NYC hahaha....I've decided to go to the norva show in aug hahaha :) I can't get enough of him.

Glad you had such a great time. But this Canadian is curious. What is a GA show? And why does the lack of it require a warning?

GA is a general admission show. Basically standing room. In NYC or most GA shows I go to if you're in the front of the line you obviously get front row or get pretty close( the reason you're in line for hrs before doors open) Now bc they only had 1 line for buying tickets,will call and guestlist and everyone went in at once i had to wait bc I had to buy a ticket. I was annoyed bc I was in the front and figured I wouldn't get a front row spot so I was very surprised everyone who had gone in before me was sitting and no1 was at the stage. I had never seen that before.

Wow! I didn't know that about Canadians, the General Admission thing and all. In Portland, everyone just rushed toward the stage as soon as they got in! I felt lucky I made it to the right side next to the speakers! IT WAS PACKED!
