I watched the one YouTube with High School Musical clips and read some comments. Okay, first of all, "thank you Stargate". I guess you folks really know what you're doing. I have always liked Wait for You, but I may have liked some of Elliott's other songs more. I am, however, an old fart even if I'ma very discerning one (if I do say so myself). You've heard me post before that I was worried that I might be standing in Elliott way by my fandom (I'm just too old, but hey, it's not my fault the it took 28 years for Elliott to get to this spot). I wanted him to have young fans. Well, I know that this HSMusical thing really resonates with the young crowd and they are loving this Troyella thing on YouTube and most mention the terrific song. The song is just what Elliott needs to sing to be heard by the young. And remember, he hasn't sold out, he does everything and he does everything magnificently. I actually love "Wait for You" now just like I've loved hit songs through the years - add that to the fact that Elliott's beautiful, soulful voice is singing it and I understand what Stargate was going for. I love Elliott - I think I'll burst - it's so funny to me that this is "my somewhere in time". Miracles are timeless and ageless.

Imthesame, your Elliott love never ceases to bring a smile to my face--you move me. You are so right.....a voice like that has no age boundaries. Don't know if older fans will appreciate Wait For You quite as much as the young but that's okay. Pop music has never been the domain of the older generations anyway because it evolves so fast. Elliott is fortunate to have the type voice that can cross over beyond pop and stick around to move and entertain people into the future. I'm ecstatic he has a top ten pop hit right now and hope he can keep it up with more. Just glad people of all ages are recognizing the excellence of his voice.

Hey...I'll be 70 this summer and I am one of Elliott's fangirls! He had me at "Moody's" and hasn't let go. I saw him in Seattle and everything I loved about the man was there..the voice, the blue eyes, the adorable mop of curls and that brilliant smile ,,,.in living color and surround sound. When I met him all I could do was blather just like I would have if I had met Sinatra or Tony Bennet.
Elliott's voice just touches some place in my soul that hasn't been reached in a long time. His gift is timeless.

I think elliott touches many people of any age and color. I think that his personality, his genuine sincerity and his love for singing and music (including his musical taste) is actually linking people together, both past and present...and it is always the biggest flattery for young artists to be admired by people that they never expect to like them...:D :D
