Title: Elliott Yamin Video Channel On Veoh
Description: Everyone can add their videos...

ladycentaur - June 20, 2007 02:43 PM (GMT)
This video site is better than YouTube. I made an Elliott Yamin Channel and configured it so that anyone can add videos to the Channel. I've already added all Elliott videos I could find and I am uploading a 45 minute video of the complete concert set list in one video. You can download videos from this site and there is NO FILE SIZE LIMIT! You can upload an entire concert if you have it...in one shot. Feel free to join and add your videos!

lol...thanks...it's really not that hard, though.

I made a DVD of concert performances I'm trying to compress and find a place to upload so everyone who wants to burn their own DVD of youtube videos can download it. The file is a real monster, though... almost 3 gigs uncompressed...but it's just like any DVD you buy with a menu and everything. Some of the video isn't great...but it looks alright on the TV. I'm uploading the same files I used to make the DVD to the Elliott Yamin Channel on Veoh...but it's 200 mbs so it's going to take awhile...plus it will have to be approved. That one doesn't have the DVD menu and such...but it will also be downloadable once it's up.

Wow! Great Idea! You're full of wonderful ideas.

I see the difference, checked out that google video site, and although I'm not sure about size limitations, the format is some google player format. Not cool. This site has no limitations to what you can do, if you can upload a DVD. And it will stay in that format?

I'm not sure about uploading DVDs to Veoh yet...I'm still trying to figure out how to copy the DVD I made onto my computer, lol. I've never done this before so I'm still learning. Vista premium has Windows DVD Maker....and it's sweet. You can collect video files and create a DVD that plays on a DVD player. It makes excellent DVDs. So...if anyone has Vista Premium...check out Windows DVD Maker...it's awesome.

Veoh is a far better video site than YouTube...and you can download videos with the Veoh player. You have to install it but it's well worth it. You can also embad the player on myspace. It's like youtube only with far better features. I've got the videos I used for the DVD all uploaded to Veoh...they are just going through the verification process now.

poo...the video I uploaded didn't take. :( I'm working on something else. I may have to do the DVD by bittorrent...which I've never done before, either...gah, lol.

Veoh did take the concert video I uploaded...there just isn't a preview set up. You can download the whole thing here though...but you need to download the Veoh tool...

I was just told the video I requested was unavailable. Maybe it's an International thing.

You have to sign up for the site and download the Veoh player in order to download videos from the site. I tested it and was able to download the video...so if you did sign up and download the veoh player and still can't download the video then it must be international. If you didn't sign up or download the player then you can try that and it should work for you.
