Title: What's Your Username...
Description: Mean?
junker3 - July 9, 2007 07:41 PM (GMT)
I REALLY really really want to know what all of your guys' usernames mean! So please tell!!
Junker3: Mine came from I think, this girl because she always would say 'oh junk!' or what the junk?' so I would make fake email addresses and stuff like that using junk. Eventually junk turned to junker, and my fave number is 3, and C is the first letter of my name, which is the 3rd letter of the alphabet! there you go!
Now your turn!! and PLEASE let me know!! with sugar on top!
ElliottCat101 - July 9, 2007 08:07 PM (GMT)
Well, my username isn't anything special, but since you asked I'll tell you!
Cat's are my fave animals, Elliott's my favorite Idol... and I always put 101 after my sn - don't really know why.
Wahntchre - July 9, 2007 08:10 PM (GMT)
My friends and I were giving each other some really random nicknames, and "Wahntchre" is the one they came up with for me. It doesn't mean anything, but I use it for almost everything. :rocker:
Rick1965 - July 9, 2007 08:12 PM (GMT)
Mine is not very original...it's my name and year of birth...I would have picked something cool and different but when I signed up I didn't realize my user name would be my screen name also.
If I had I would have picked Studmuffin212 of Hottie McHot Hot !
Ah...the anonymity of the internet!!!
cxiong - July 9, 2007 08:22 PM (GMT)
Mines pretty simple. "C" is the first initial in my name. And "Xiong" is my last name.
leefromva - July 9, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
Mine isn't original either. My name is Lee and I'm from Virginia. I'm interested too in where some of you came up with the names you have, so tell us please.
PoorMe - July 9, 2007 08:44 PM (GMT)
The first message board I joined was at Gardenweb where they discussed - you guessed it - gardening. I live in Gardening Zone 3, where its so cold that many plants can't survive here, so I called myself PoorMeZone3. When I joined here I just decided to shorten it up.
chloewannabee - July 9, 2007 08:44 PM (GMT)
WHEN I JOINED THE AI BOARDS LAST YEAR, i WAS AFRAID TO USE MY REAL NAME, CAUSE I HAD NEVER POSTED ANYTHING ON LINE ANYWHERE, EVAH! SO I TRIED TO THINK OF SOMETHING SO MY KIDS WOULD NEVER FIND OUT. HAHAHAHAHAHAH, IT TOOK MY SON ABOUT 1 DAY TO FIGURE OUT THAT CHLOEWANNABEE WAS ME, CAUSE I LOVED CHLOE FROM 24.
AND THE REST IS HISTORY. NOW I ANSWER TO CHLOE AND MY REAL NAME-CAROL

I always wondered about that, ever since I found out Chloe wasn't your real name...
realitymom - July 9, 2007 08:59 PM (GMT)
Well, I love reality tv (much to my husbands disgust....heehee) & I AM a mom, so I figured realitymom was a nice combination. Not very original, but it works for me. :)
Thanks junker for thinkin of this, its fun!
rooney - July 9, 2007 10:22 PM (GMT)
My real name is Sarah Ann. I go by Sally on Moosak which is a nickname for Sarah, but I have always been called Annie so that is where the Rooney comes in, from a really old comic strip called 'Little Annie Rooney' ...way, way, way before your time, Junker! lol

Rick, really, Hottie McHot Hot? I'd accept Hottie ElHot Hot, or YaHot but not McHot! LOL
wowhesgood - July 9, 2007 10:40 PM (GMT)
wowhesgood...Wow, he's good!!! after I saw his If You Really Love Me performance. (Wow, isn't really what I said though.)
Rutti - July 9, 2007 10:40 PM (GMT)
My last name is Cerutti. Most of my work friends call me "Rutti" so I always use that nickname for my user name (if it's avaialable)on everything I register for online.
terriberriez - July 9, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
I'm Terri and I like berries :)
Berkana - July 9, 2007 10:50 PM (GMT)
Well... I'm not sure how to explain mine. A few years ago I was heavy into other religions, I wanted to learn about anything and everything. Especially the interesting stuff like alchemy, tarot, and runes. Well Berkana is an ancient rune symbolizing,
Here's a brief description on it:
"A Cycle Rune, Berkana equates to fertility, not
just for the human, but for all things both
symbolic and actual. Worldly mattesr, family
matters, and affairs of the self.
This rune has a gentle and pervasive action, an
action that will ripple through your life in the
most benevolent and beneficial of ways.
Consider the aspects of things you might
attempt with care, thought and clear motives,
and success will most certainly be assured.
This rune symbolizes growth and rebirth in all
matters, a fresh start, and success."
When my grandmother first saw that name and looked through my rune book she stated with the way it was explained it reminded her of my dancing. So ever since then I've used the name. And carry a stone of the rune everywhere I go. Most of my online names are Berkana or some form. Another one of my names is BerkanaRosetta (Rosetta being the Rosetta Stone.)
Rutti - July 9, 2007 11:02 PM (GMT)
Berkana, you are just such an interesting and gifted person! Seriously! I am always interested in reading your posts. I love this thread - it's fun to know how everyone gets their name.
SoulMusicRocks - July 9, 2007 11:07 PM (GMT)
Soul is one of my favorite genres of music.
Music has been a powerful force in my life.....singing in particular.
Rocks....no, not of the geological variety. But seriously, SoulMusicRocks :)
junker3 - July 9, 2007 11:20 PM (GMT)
I almost didn't start this thread. I'm glad I did and that you all like it. All of your usernames are cool! Berkana, I would have never guessed! THanks for telling. Please continue to post!
other things i use if Junker3 or Junker is taken, is Cyentruoc3 or yentuoc3, which is my name backwards, and a C for my name in front.

That is so awesome! I have also read as much as can about other religions and beliefs over the years, but I never read about runes. I will now...thanks.
Linda4Elliott - July 10, 2007 12:28 AM (GMT)
Linda....4.....Elliott
not too deep :rotfl:
chloewannabee - July 10, 2007 01:01 AM (GMT)

MistyluvsE - July 10, 2007 01:05 AM (GMT)
I love Elliott and my name is Misty...
Mine isnt too deep either! ha ha ha
Great Idea Junker!
CanadianFan - July 10, 2007 05:55 AM (GMT)
Mine is self-explanatory. Can't get any simpler than that!
AgentScully - July 10, 2007 02:26 PM (GMT)
I love the show "The X Files" and there is a character on the s how named Agent Scully, who happens to be one of my favorite TV characters of all time.
My usernames are always X- File heavy..lol.
nonnie54 - July 10, 2007 02:59 PM (GMT)
My name came from my grandson who couldn't say Grandma so he called me Nonnie. I was born in 1954. If Nonnie is taken elsewhere, I'll use Lorac5040 which is my name backwards and 54 with added 0's.
wee_moggie - July 10, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
People often misread and mispronounce my username as wee mOOgie, but it's wee mOGGie. "Wee moggie" is Scottish for "little cat." It's the username I always use. I love cats and I love everything Scottish. I'm not Scottish myself, but my husband is part Scottish, so we have a Scottish last name. We visited there a few years ago, and I just fell in love with everything about the country. I'd go back tomorrow! (Well, I'd go back today, but a girl has to pack.)
hoome3 - July 10, 2007 06:16 PM (GMT)
Hoome is a word that my youngest son made up when he
was 2 or 3. When he wanted to compliment
me, he'd say "mommy, you're so hoome!" I thought it was
cute and I adopted it as my username for most things. I put
the 3 after it because I have 3 children - and I also wanted
to include the two older kids that didn't tend to make up nonsense
words! One day in the distant future if I'm ever a grandmother,
I hope thah Hoome will also be my grandmother name.
This is fun! I've often wondered about some of your user names.
I also like to read license plates and wonder why folks picked
certain ones.

You know you can ask any of the mods to change your user/screen name...just saying, lol!
Cheetah521 - July 10, 2007 07:18 PM (GMT)
I've had this name as my email address/screen name for years. Big cats are my favorite type of animal, tigers being my all time favorite. I always thought that a screen name with "Tiger" would seem too masculine and that people would think I was a guy so I picked Cheetah instead. The numbers don't mean anything, I just randomly picked them.
courtie59 - July 10, 2007 09:34 PM (GMT)
Great thread!
Mine isn't very interesting.
Courtie is a play on my maiden name which was Court. I also have a couple of childhood friends who call me by that nickname.
59 is the year I was born. That was probably obvious!
Sapphire - July 10, 2007 11:47 PM (GMT)
My username isn't very original. It's my birthstone.
Missy5 - July 11, 2007 02:09 AM (GMT)
My family has always called me by my nickname Missy, short for Melissa. The 5 is my jersey number for all the sports I have played since high school.
shatner8 - July 11, 2007 02:24 AM (GMT)
My name is the nickname for my youngest son, who was given his name by a friend of my older son who thought Wlliam Shatner was a hoot (and I am a huge Star trek fan). The boy only knew he was the guy from Priceline and ever knew about Star trek, lol.
the eight is their number on their soccer jerseys, they picked the same number and are super close (between the fighting, or course)
GraceStreet - July 11, 2007 02:58 AM (GMT)
The AI boards were the first place I'd registered as GraceStreet. I had participated on their old boards and realized I'd have to register again. At first I used my old name, katdamage, which contains part of my middle name (Katherine) and was a play on what my cats had done to my sofa (I first came up with it when I registered for the old AI boards by looking around the living room for inspiration ).
I prefer it as a username, really, but then I realized people might mistake me for a McPhee h8tr -- or, worse, a fan -- so I needed a new name. I decided to use the same method as I had before, except this time when I registered? *whispers* I was at work, shhhhhhhh... :shifty:
Now, if I'd actually gone with the first thing I saw, my username would be CubicleWall, and the first thing past that would be BigOfficeWindow. But the Big Office Window looks out over Grace Street here in Richmond, and I thought it wasn't a bad sounding name, espcially for a chick (if I worked on the other side of the building, I could have ended up as FranklinStreet and people maybe thinking I'm a guy :P).

christina - July 11, 2007 03:21 AM (GMT)
I really wish I could change my username. When I signed up I didn't know that it would be your screen name. I would have thought of something more interesting than just my name!
