This afternoon, I received a voicemail from my 5-year old niece (my sister's daughter) who is also an Elliott fan. I wish I'd have actually gotten a chance to speak with her, but her voicemail message was priceless:
"Hi, Auntie Katey. It's me, Melissa. I'm calling you because I know you're sad about Elliott. I'm sad, too, and Mommy cried last night. But, don't worry. Elliott will be fine. Okay, that's it. I love you. Bye!"
*choke*
Isn't that the sweetest thing ever?! By the way, two weeks ago, I asked her why she liked Elliott, and she told me it's because he sings well and that "he's handsome." ;)
You have such an astute niece KateyKat!!! I am sure you guys won't have any worries of her choosing the right man in the future!!!
Awww... what a sweetie. Kids say the sweetest things. Out of the mouth of babes!
My oldest last night (8) cried like a baby (me too) when E was cut. She just couldn't get over Kat. She said, "Mom... why is she taking her shoes off and talking to Simon during the song? She and her parents cheated and they don't even care!"
SO proud of her. *sniff sniff*
Well I have a 12 year old and a 5 year old yaminion right here, had to give them the bad news when they got up for school this morning as we live in England, the 12 year old cried, and the 8 year old, who is pretty astute said, "well mum, I think Elliott will be glad in the end because now he doesn't have to bring out a cd full of poo songs that simon picked"
The sentiment is absolutely right of course, now his cd is going to be FABULOUS, and how glorious it will be to hear him sing a song all the way through too. :D
