Unless yes.com is totally wrong, it looks like Dallas KHKS just went from playing Elliott 0-1 times a day to 6 times in one day!

NOW IS THE TIME TO GET GOOD PHONE RESPONSE INTO THE STATION FOR ELLIOTT.

This is imperative if we want them to genuinely add him to rotation. They've yo-yo'd us around longer than any other station in the country. Texas E-trainers, PLEASE call and say you heard the song, love it, and want to hear it again:

I can't stress enough how important it is to get these calls in. If you can't get in during one shift, try again a couple hours later. Don't give up!

If we can get Dallas, Chicago, and Boston to move into power rotations pretty soon, this song is gonna really go up in the upper tier of the chart.

Ahhh...This is sooooo nice to see....KHKS in Dallas finally playing WFY....Every station has their own timing and decision-making beyond what we will ever know about.... This particular station (in the #5 Radio Market of the country) just happened to have an exceptionally long pause button...And now...it looks like they've finally released it...Sweet!!!!

And now... for the final magic act...the last (well, next to last. Still need Chicago to increase their play) and final missing link of Top 20 Pop stations...St. Louis...KSLZ 107.7...will step out from behind overnight and occassional play and dazzle us with incredible spins!

Do we have folks in/around Dallas for requests? The station needs to be hit hard during these initial stages with phone calls.

If a request form/email address is posted, the rest of the etrain can also support via the internet.

The only e-mail I see goes straight to the music director, so I'd recommend for now that we don't mount an e-mail effort lest we risk the spamming issue.

If I do find an e-quest form, however, I will definitely post it.

I've been calling daily, you guys!! Eliz and I have been chatting with the dj's as well!! Not to mention, I have their request line # programmed on my cell! LOL...how is that for dedication...and last week, gawd, I stayed in chat until 3 am just to make sure they played Elliott (again)...haha, I'm crazy!

I just got through to the dj at KHKS and thanked them for playing Wait For You. I told him how much I loved the song and that I heard it around 5 (BIG fib here!) this afternoon and just wanted to thank them for playing it! He said "No problem!" I haven't been doing my part here in Texas as far as requesting, I know, 'cause I have other priorities right now and have such limited time but will try to do better. I know, what could be more important than Elliott?! But, sometimes life calls and Elliott would totally understand if he knew. Anyway, movin and Ohio and alien and everyone - I'll try to make some time to spend motivating Dallas (and Austin and Houston and McAllen and El Paso and San Antonio), well, I'll do whatever I can, anyway! Should have some time tomorrow and this weekend!

Thanks A1TexasGal! Great to hear you can put some time in now! Looks like Texas is one of the key places in the country right now in the spotlight - especially Dallas. Looks like they're finally moving forward with play and could definitely use some solid listener requests right now. Looks like Austin, El Paso and San Antonio are also coming around, and Houston has had pretty decent accelerating play, with plenty of room for growth.

Yeah, I think Texas will make or break Elliott's rise into the top 5. They have the most room for growth in terms of both spins AND audience impressions right now. None of the stations have had him in top ten play yet (though San Antonio might now be top ten by today).

And oh...haha, I keep forgetting, I'm insane...today with Atom Smasher (considered one of the NOT so friendly dj's)...after he played WFY and announced E's name, he added: "I dig that song!" Woot!

ok! i heard Billy The Kid this morning on the show. I actually only listen to that station in the mornings. I get sick of all the rap that is on most of the time. :-) I'll e-mail him! Are there other stations here who are playing E? I listen mostly to 102.9.

Check out the Radio Airplay Tracker thread for a list of all the stations that have played Elliott's music. The bolded ones are the monitored stations that currently have E on their playlists. The list is alphabetical by state and city. There are a number of stations in Texas currently playing E and they could really use your phone requests to increase their play.

Actually, the HAC station in Dallas is a very good bet right now. I think y'all should call them as well and place a request/ask if they plan to add Elliott to the playlist.

Movin can help me out here, but didn't the Dallas HAC station have that contest with Elliott vs. Daughtry, and ELliott won by a mile? That was months ago, and even though the DJ there (Jen Austin???) said that they would add him, they never did.

Yes, alien, it was KDMX where WFY won the contests numerous times. I don't remember Jen Austin saying they would therefore be adding E to their playlist, although you could certainly infer that from the results. I think these Countdowns act as a barometer of interest much like the Rating surveys, although I do think they factor in the cases where they sense an outside fan club dominating the voting. There are a number of stations where Elliott won contests and didn't get airplay for weeks or months after that.

I certainly think that all radio formats need to be contacted at this point, especially HAC, AC, and Rhythmic stations, in addition to Top 40 stations. And KDMX is a great one to request in Dallas, in addition to KVIL, the AC station.

As a reminder, you can always check the Radio Station Contact list as a resource for the top rated stations in E-friendly formats for the top 40+ markets in the country, if you live in or near a major metropolitan city.
