Let's re-live last summer's concerts...



Well it's almost 2 weeks late, but I thought it might be fun to start a thread about 1 year ago tonight....

It's 6:38 right now, and 1 year ago tonight, I had been at The Meadowlands for about 41/2 hours already, getting the banner signed, tailgating, meeting a ton of Efans, taking lots of pics. We had a ball, and the highlight of the night.....

What a year this has been!! I can't believe it. Thanks for the pic, Chloe. I love the ride we're on and it keeps getting better and better!! :etrain:

Yep... I remember the Richmond concert. HOT HOT HOT! The idols and the coliseum!

YEP CHLOE, FOR ME TOMORROW IS MY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF MEETING ELLIOTT FOR THE 1ST TIME AT NASSAU COLESIUM. REMEMBER CHLOE, YOU GAVE ME MY FIRST BUTTON. THE MEMORIES ARE UNFORGETTABLE. :awe:

I saw Elliott, live, in Hershey, PA exactly one year ago, July 12. I also signed the banner that went around at all the concerts. I didn't care about seeing any of the other idols. It was an ELLIOTT concert for me. The others were just opening for him..teehee

I was still in my "I'm to embarrassed to admit publicly I was an Elliott Yamin fan" a year ago...but I am sure there were signs!! A woman in my office has two kids who she watched Idol. with every week..ages 7 and 5...the 7 year old loved Paris. The 5 year old could care less or so she thought. The night Paris was voted off her daughter started to cry and she asked her what was wrong...Her daughter says...I want Paris!! She looks over and her 5 year old son is crying...she asks him what's wrong....he says to her...I want Mandisa!!

That story cracks me up...anyway...I bought her daughter a Picture of Paris and gave her the idol cd for her birthday. So she decides to buy tickets for the idol show in Long Island...she tells me her nanny would not be able to go so if I wanted the ticket I could have it. I was over the moon...I didn't have the nerve to go alone...but this was the perfect 'cover' to get to see Elliott. It ended up that the nanny had a big fight with her boyfriend and decided to go after all. The woman from my office said you don't mind do you? So I looked at her with tears in my eyes and said...I want Elliott!! She laughed at that (as she backed away slowly!!)

She did bring me a little button with Elliott's picture on it...and I said oh cool my niece loves him...thanks! Now I wear that button on the inside of all my jacket pockets...but don't tell anyone!! That's between us!

Nice Story, Rick..I want Elliott!!...I bought that button at the Hershey concert. Is it the one with a hat on?? I put it on my purse, and my 23 yr old daughter really made fun of me. She doesn't get it, but she didn't watch idol. She doesn't have cable. I bought her the CD and burned her a CD with all the bonus tracks. She is a real music snob, and it would almost kill her to admit to her mom, that she liked him, but my youngest son, said he road in her car the other day, and Elliott's CD was in the player. :elliottelliott:

So Rick, geesh! we could have met you a year ago. I was at that show too ,1 year ago today!. That was a great time, we met Claudette, and she came over to my car after the show to see the e-train.

I don't have the great stories like y'all, but I did meet Atlantiskat at the AI concert in Syracuse, NY. It was one of the add on concerts because the others sold out so fast.

Elliott didn't come down to our end of the stage and I wanted him to see my sign. So at the very end of the concert I ran past security and started yelling ELLIOTT...ELLIOTT...ELLIOTT!!!!!
He finally saw me and pointed right at me. I had alittle incident that we won't go into. But I went running back to my seat & everyone around me yelled He saw you, he saw you!!

I'm still waiting for my meet Elliott story, some day I BELIEVE... I BELIEVE I BELIEVE... :elliottcap:
