August Is Elliott's Month!

Elliott Yamin is going to be hitting on all fronts next month in August! Elliott will have a top 5 single at radio, he'll be doing a national TV tour, his appearance on The Bold And The Beautiful will air August 24th. See below for TV tour dates:
8/13 Miami - South Florida Today (NBC)
8/14 Atlanta - Atlanta & Company (NBC)
8/15 Baltimore -Fox 45, Voice of America
8/17 New York- Fox Morning News
8/22 Chicago -Fox Thing In The Morning

"Elliott will have a top 5 single at radio."

Said with such assurance. Makes me think (or rather, reminds me again) that they know some things we don't have a clue about concerning his future airplay.

Wait, "Bold and the Beautiful"? When did that happen?

That is a bit weird. Not saying that he wont have a top 5 hit, but its like they now for sure already. Is that possible? LOL, just wondering.

I know, right?!?! That's excactly what I said when I read it... lol

Have no idea, but I WILL be setting my DVR, and i dont even watch soaps.....


ETA: ... I don't watch soaps... anymore. I figured it was starting to become a problem when I was scheduling my classes around them, and contemplating taking a required course in a later semester because it took place at the same time as Days of Our Lives, lol...... Let's hope Elliott doesnt rope me back in!

Well, it's possible for a couple of reasons:

(1) Elliott's team may have negotiated some things with a number of stations. (I'm deliberately being vague here.)

(2) The radio stations may have confirmed to them what their airplay commitments will be in upcoming weeks.

Hey, if they said Elliott's going to have a top 5 hit, I'm going with it. :rocker:

For certain they have access to information we don't.

I think they have more sophisticated trend analysis tools that they use to predict chart movement.

For example, if Elliott's spins continue to rise at XX% and Umbrella declines at xx%, then we should move up a spot.

True. It could just be trend analysis here.

I'm encouraged by the other report we just heard that SIRIUS started playing him a lot today. We may have an upward trend at the lower half of stations playing him. If so, then this song is DEFINITELY going top 5.

I certainly wondered about that when I read it, LOL, but I'm thrilled at the prospect!

Not a soap watcher here but may have to watch one episode, how will I fit that in w/ working? ummmmm

I'm hoping his TV tour will include some major network appearances (Today, CBS' weekend morning show when they have live performances, Jay Leno, Letterman, Oprah, you know, all the biggies).

Hey, this is the music BUSINESS after all. After listening to the crap filling our airwaves, it's pretty obvious that the actual music is only a secondary concern.

ACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!! I watch the Bold and the BEAUTIFUL!!!! oh my....this would be AWESOME!!!!!!! And Consantine pretty much plays himself on the soap, and I don't think I have to say much more than that...lol;) WEEEEEEEEEEE!!

Since Constantine is under the impression he can sing...my bet would be that he is the one with amnesia.

I don't watch soaps so I don't really know...do they have musicians on who sing? I know on like Veronica Mars they'd have musical acts come on and sing in the cafe she worked at to incorporate them into the show.

Sadly this type of amnesia doesn't extend to the audience.

I know that Rickey has captured at least some of Constantine's scenes on the soap at his site. As we know, he's a huge Elliott fan, so he'll probably capture Elliott's appearance as well.

says constantine's new album is being released via Sony/Red on Aug 7th...on his own label, isn't this kinda like E?

check it out...the news doesn't say anything YET about E's guest appearance, but will have to keep an eye out!! With the whole "music" storyline that is going on now though in the soap, I could see E totally fitting in;)

Could you fill us in a bit more on this? Why is Constantine on this show anyway? (I'm just lookin' for a general description to see if we can figure out what E will be doing.)

Constantine plays some kind of music producer on the show, which is set in LA - a couple of the characters are supposed to be hopeful singers and Connie is in the biz - check this out from the CBS daytime website:

Hmmm - wonder if the two are connected. Taping on July 24 for a later air date - anyone in LA want to be an extra on this?

I really, really wanted him to be on The Guiding Light as a spokesperson for Juvenile Diabetes, since there is a storyline in that direction right this minute.

sure can...I saw it the day he debuted....he is coming in kind of as himself, with his own name, people recognize him even on the show as "constantine" ... and he plays a record producer who happens aupon a kareoke performance of one of the young female stars on the show. Now he is trying to get her signed, and changing her image from all "sweet and innocent" to um more....WHOAH!! rocker...lol, and her boyfriend is not having it and is jealous of C. On today's..yesterdays show the girl did a duet with Constantine, and then one with her boyfriend, then the audience and the club owners had to pick a "winner"..and huh...it was tied..lol;) 2 girls asked C for his autograph and he acted like I think he typically would...ummm..he plays kind of on the arrogant side on the show;) So I know E will have something to do with this whole music thing.....hmmmmmm....

Great news! It looks like August is going to be a :hot: month for Elliott! I'm excited.

The Bold and the Beautiful news is interesting. I don't watch soaps, but I'll definately be checking out this one when Elliott comes on. I like the mention of having a Top 5 hit! That sounds very encouraging. I knew WFY wasn't done yet. Oh, and I hope the TV tour includes big shows like Oprah, Leno, Letterman, ect...

All of this is great news!! I'm not a sopa fan, but will tune in to see ELLIOTT.....
