I'm just curious if there are any Brandi Carlile fans here. She has a very eclectic sound. It's a mixture of rock, folk, and even sometimes a bit of Country too. The person she most closely reminds me of vocally would be Melissa Etheridge. Actually, I hadn't even heard of Brandi until I saw her video on VH1 while watching to see if Elliott made it. Her video/song is called "The Story". She has a very dramatic and powerful voice with an incredible range.

Her tone and range during "The Story" is phenomenal. Not many singers today give me chills, but she is definitely one of them. I always vote for her on the VH1 countdown. Elliott 1st and her 2nd :)

I mostly prefer male singers. I have a few female singers that I like and she is definitely one of them. I vote for her, too on VH1. I haven't heard her on the radio yet, have you?

No, I haven't! Isn't it a shame? She is a very talented artist. It just makes you realize how many incredible talents there are out there who don't even get heard by most.

Yeah, I have that song on my iTunes. I think it was one of their free songs one week. I love it. I also recall hearing it on Grey's Anatomy. They have such awesome music featured on their show. The song is really good. She's powerful and moving.
