If you go under Contact Us you will find the number, which is 1-866-534-0927.

You can send an e-quest if you stream the station. You have to register to stream the station, which is pretty easy. Once you have the stream window open, there is a button to Request A Song.

You can also register to be a Music Director, in order to help choose their songs. This is a separate registration than the streaming registration, but pretty much the same questions.

To everyone who is new to this station (including me), I strongly suggest streaming for a little while to get a feel for the station, and listen for the DJ's names and note their shifts. You can get some of this info from their website, but it's the very clear about all of the hours of the day. Also, please space out your requests during the day.

I did call and I spoke with a guy and requested WFY (be sure to say the Nevins mix). He said he didn't know there was a WFY dance mix and wasn't sure if they had it, but he said he would ask the DJ, and if they had it, they would get it on in the next half hour. They didn't play it, so I'm thinking that maybe they don't have it, but please request it. The guy was really friendly.

Also, there seem to be some specialty shows on this station, but I can't figure out what's different about them yet. When I called, it was during a specialty show, but the guy didn't tell me that they couldn't play WFY because they were in a specialty show. So at this time, I wouldn't let that stop you, unless the more we listen we can get a clearer idea of what they are playing.

It may be that if we request, no matter when, they may write the request down like at KYLD, so it would be recorded. I wonder if we can nicely fit some of those questions into our phone calls?

UPDATE: They are currently playing the dance mix of Maroon 5, so if they can play THAT, we have to get WFY on there!

I listen to 92.7 once in a while and will definitely tune in more often now that we're trying to get the dance mix on here.

Another station I would like to start targeting, at least to some degree, is Mix 106.6 KEZR. Their spins are counted on Mediabase. I talked with Laurie, who is on in the afternoons, about two months ago, and she said that if they had WFY (the original version, this is an AC station, or is HAC?) they would play it, but they didn't have it (she liked the song herself). I'm trying to find out if they have it. They play all the other Idols, but it appears they have NEVER played Elliott.

At the moment, ESPN shows that its upcoming Sunday night game is the Angels v. Detroit. (Scroll to the bottom to change the date to July 29th.)

Anyone with tix, be sure to bookmark this site....I've had tickets to games where ESPN had an "option" to broadcast, and it often changes the start time of the game.

Just got home a little while ago. I did KYLD first, for maintenance! So nice to hear St. John say to me, "I played him a little while ago, but I'll play him again!" Totally forgot to tell him about the Nevins mix, though. I don't know if they know there is one. They just played a remix of "Umbrella." Maybe someone could include that in an e-quest?

Welcome to our Bay Area thread!!! I hope we can all meet you some day at another Elliott concert.

On requests to radio stations it can be done by calling or sending in an email song request.

Check out the radio station web site and you will find this request information often in the CONTACT US tab.

If it's not there, then I check to see who the DJ on-shift is and check out the DJ bio information which will often list the DJ's email address.

Requests don't have to be complicated. In the Subject line I usually just put Song Request.

Then I will say that I have heard Wait 4 U recently on their station and would love to hear it again.

Use the DJ's name in the email and if you are local, be sure to let them know the general vicinity you're from so they know that you're a "local."

Hi Didee, I've checked their playlist, and they don't play Elliott at all, so I may throw something in my emails like, "I've been hearing this song everywhere, and I would love to hear it on your station." It's also good to praise the station itself, mention that you really like Laurie, and mention that you listen to them in your car! Other than that, I try not to make them too long. Sometimes I just request the song and that's it. I try to do two a day.

I spoke with Sylvia Chacon, the mid-morning DJ at K101 this morning.

More to follow, but when I was talking to her she verified my sign up from yesterday right while I was talking to her.

Sylvia is the nicest and easiest person to talk to there, and she actually picks up her phone every 400 rings or so. (No offense to her.)

This was the first time I wasn't screened out from speaking to a DJ at 101.

Just sent an e-quest at KNGY and got a standard reply:

"Thank you for requesting a song on ENERGY 92.7 FM - PURE DANCE!
We will do our best to get your request on the air!"

Will call in today to request the WFY remix.

I know, eyfinsf, I haven't seen him much in the Last 10 Played, but I was wondering if I was just missing him.

St. John just commented that the last time Elliott was at the Giants game he sang Take Me Out To The Ball Game, and this time he is singing the National Anthem. St. John was wondering if Elliott was getting in to the games free, and if that is why he's doing this! So ordinarily it would be nice plug that Elliott is in town this weekend, but the game is pretty much sold out.

I think if y'all simply keep getting those requests in to all these SF stations--KYLD, the HAC and AC, and the dance station--it will result in more airplay down the road.

I think what's happening with KYLD is that they played the song a lot the first week in the hopes of exposing most of the audience to it. Now they've pulled back to see what kind of listener demand it's gonna have before deciding what to do with it next.

So, keep calling in requests like you're doin'!

You can search for the group by clicking on the Groups tab, then search Music, then you'll see it there. Wild Elliott Fans is the group's name. Just click the View tab and then you can click on "join this group".

Shelley, Ging, and I (and hubby) are going. I think a few others may be as well. We're way up at the top, because those are the only seats we could get, but you're right, there really is no bad seat.

Speaking of recognizing each other, it would be great to do some sort of SF Bay Area Etrain get together.
