Title: Stevie Wonder To Tour!!!!!!!!

musicmaker111 - August 3, 2007 02:21 PM (GMT)
I know this topic doen't belong here, but I HAD to let everyone know that Stevie Wonder (yes...STEVIE WONDER!!!!) has just announced he is going to tour for the first time in 20 years!!!!! Being that we all love Elliott so much, and Stevie is his 2nd favorite musical influence (after Donny Hathaway), I thought you all might be interested. He only is doing 13 shows, but may be adding more. The bad news for me.....only 4 shows on the whole East coast, and all of them while I am out of the country. :bawl: I hope that some of you get to go to one of them and will post some pictures and such from them!

HI Y'all,Its Awesome Stevie Wonder is doing a Concert Tour after a very long time of not touring! It would be great if Stevie wonder could bring Elliott on tour with him and Elliott could be Stevies opener and do some duets with Stevie!I think one day Stevie Wonder and Elliott Yamin should get together for a Special Concert that would also be Awesome!I think Elliott should record a full album of Stevie Wonder cover songs!I remember about 2 years ago on American Idol Season5 when Stevie and Elliott met each other for the first time all the Top 9 Idols were all arourd the piano and Elliott came out and sat next to his Idol Stevie Wonder Elliott was balling crying tears of joy! That must of been one of the greatest day of Elliotts life he will never forget! The 2 Stevie Wonder songs Elliott sang on American Idol were "If You Really Love Me"and "Knock Me Off Your Feet"!Elliott sang these songs like nobodys buss.!I don't know if his busy schedule permits him to,but if Elliott could take a date or 2 and perform with Stevie Wonder at a concert or 2 that would be Awesome! For Elliott to sing with his Idol how he would feel great! :elliottcap: :elliottelliott: :etrain: 4 LIFE!!!

If we could get a few (or several) of us together, I'd make the trip in to NYC to go to see Stevie. Tickets may be tough to get. Anyone interested? Love to meet more of you and see a great concert too!!

bear88 - August 3, 2007 06:06 PM (GMT)
Yikes, I just checked out ticket prices --starting at $250, as it's a benefit concert with lots of talent. Not in my budget, but wish I could go.

awww, that's too bad! Definitely not in my budget, either!! It would be cool to meet you. Maybe at another Elliott concert :)

$250????

Hey if I win the lottery tonight...I promise to take any Etrainer who wants to go see Stevie.

What if you find out Elliott is going to be a featured guest and all he was going to do was one duet with Stevie...would you shell out the money in that case??

hhhmmmmm....for that, I would take out an installment loan.

Hey where is this $250 price coming from?

I just checked his shows on Ticetmaster and the price range is showing 60-100. Now that does sound kind of low...but I am confused.

Now that's devotion...

I know the feeling...I had to take a second mortgage just so I could go to Norfolk!!

I don't know. The 60-100 sounds more affordable, but yet.. a little low for a LEGEND!

hip-yamized - August 4, 2007 07:27 AM (GMT)
Speaking of Legend, check out this line up for Stevie's Dream Concert on Sept 18th.
I saw John Legend on GMA today and he was talking about the "Dream Concert" in honor of Martin Luther King.

http://www.last.fm/event/273966]

tickets for this concert are $154 to $1004

Many great artists, too bad Elliott will be in the UK in route to the Phillipines on that date.

sammyjoiluvuso - August 5, 2007 03:34 AM (GMT)
I got two tickets to see him at McMennamin's in Troutdale, Oregon on August 30. Tickets were $55.00 each with the usual ridiculous Ticketmaster fees.

My husband and I had tickets to see Elliott for the cancelled July 26, Portland show. It's awful nice of Stevie to come to town to lift my spirits after not being able to see Elliott. :mademyday:

(Oh, by the way, tickets sold out just a few hours)

Maia12 - August 8, 2007 04:12 PM (GMT)
I am trying to attend one of the East Coast shows. Stevie and The Artist are my two favorite musicians (as seen in my avatar). I try to catch the legends when I can. After Stevie, there are a few others I still want to see live. Unfortunately with poor Luther and Gerald gone, I missed seeing them in concert.

chloewannabee - August 8, 2007 04:52 PM (GMT)
Looks like I'll have to keep practicing to be "caller 100" on my favorite ny radio station!!!
