This is good.

It is annoying, though, that Katharine Mcphee and Sean Kingston, etc., can get on the actual Today show and so on (rather than on South Florida Today!)because they're with major labels. I suppose the idea is -- if you're on a major label that means you're better, although sometimes I wonder whether it's more like, We're a big corporation and we only talk to other big corporations, so sorry about you indies. Oh, well.

Some of the morning shows have live audiences. You should check right away, because if they do, seating would be limited. Good luck!!

It pisses me off too but the reality is that Kat did the Early Show, Regis, and Leno and sold an additional 200 albums that week. Elliott should do a little better than that even doing local TV :rotfl:

I like Taylor but TV hasn't helped his album sales either. I still think I'll be seeing Elliott on national TV soon though. For now, I'll have to be happy hearing WFY on the radio in NYC every 5 minutes. :awe:

Leno, Letterman, Conan, etc. have some real "off the wall" performers on their shows. Wouldn't think that all of them are on major labels.

Has anyone considered maybe elliott will be on the "national" tv shows when it's time for the NEW single??That's my thinking..I doubt it's because he can't book them...

I have emailed both Letterman and Leno..and really think it's a good idea to do this, I've read other independent artists request their fans to email these talk show hosts and request.
I know Elliott will be on the East Coast..and that's perfect for Letterman. After all, he's a known name though AI and he has the number 4 hit on Pop radio. He's in the top 15 on BILLBOARD HOT 100..he's news and current right now, and Letterman would get big ratings having Elliott on his show. I've also emailed Leno.
I've emailed Oprah..because she likes inspirational songs..and Elliott's album is nothing but inspirational.
I emailed Saturday Night Live and asked them to have both Bucky and Elliott on the same night for some good laughs.
It doesn't hurt to ask,

But, you're right. "Oh well" is all we can say; that's the price to pay.

I think Kat's appearances hurt her more than helped her. My sister is just an AI fan ..and she was SO disappointed in Kat. She didn't have anything good to say..and this is a Kat fan. Not in the way one is a fan of Kat, but just wanting to see all the AI contestants succeed because she got to know them on the show.

I think so, but it is strange he hasn't said anything about it lately.

Remember the 8/27 date for VH1 is the taping. It airs the 1st of September. :)

The USO tour was for Thanksgiving and maybe they're told NOT to publicize it which makes sense for security reasons. It's also possible that nobody expected WFY to get so big and they're redoing his schedule. I also expect to see E on those big national TV shows (maybe after the single and album go gold and the second single drops?).

yeah, i love this. i'm going to email all those folks too, but i'll prob wait till week after next, just to space our contact out a little bit..

Elliott's team has made incredibly wise decisions so far. Remember the radio tour? Some were pissed at first because he wasn't doing Letterman and Leno then. The result of the radio tour is that Elliott won over DJ's and audiences around the country and now he has a Top 4 hit.

A lot of people watch their local TV shows. This TV tour will build his audience and people will have more time to get to "know" Elliott because the interviews will be longer and he will probably get to sing live. People seem to appreciate it when a celebrity takes the time to visit their city.

Leno, Letterman, Conan, etc, may be in the future but the exposure that Elliott will get from going to these local, but huge, markets will be very helpful in the long run.

Kat and Taylor have been on Leno and the national morning shows several times. None of those appearances resulted in huge sales.

Also, most of those cities will probably be on Elliott's upcoming tour schedule. It appears that he is building goodwill for the second leg of his tour. He said in interviews that he would be going to Florida, Chicago, New York, Texas, east coast, etc, on the next leg of his tour. All of those places are being covered by this TV tour.

I had contacted FOX IN THE MORNING (CHICAGO) a few weeks back when this info first came out.....They replied to my email saying they do NOT have a live audience or allow studio visits!!!

I hope he uses these appearances plus Rachael Ray and Bold and The Beautiful to plug his next single.

Yay for Boston! Fox 25 definitely has performances on their morning show. I remember when Elliott was in town for the radio tour and I was hoping for an interview and performance then. They did show a small clip from his visit to either MIX or KISS 108. This sounds like it will be hopefully an interview and performance.

Season five third-place contestant Elliot Yamin, who has since become a celebrity in his own right, was scheduled to perform at the Haverhill Rocks! Battle of the Bands on Aug. 18 at Winnekenni Castle.

But there was a problem, and it was a big one.

Yamin didn't know about the gig.

No thanks to the agency, but thanks rather to the initiative of planning committee members and Yamin's own good will, the show will go on.

Wow... Elliott is going to be pretty busy the next few weeks. We've got a lot to look forward to. I'm excited!

If you look at the combination of dates around 8/24-8/30, that is a perfect time to release the next single. Does anyone else think this is promo for the next single? That is way too many appearances in a row, not to be something going on. I bet Hickory is planning on releasing the single around then.

As for Lincoln Heights, this is a bigger deal than most realize. Plain White T's have a recurring role on Greek on ABC Family and a lot say Kat's Over It took off mainly after appearance on MTV's "The Hills"

Mike I was thinking the same thing. When Elliott talked to Kane that night & said "October"...I really didn't buy it, he sounded very hesistant & unsure & added something about the element of suprise. October is just SO far away.

Agree completely that the initial push for the next single needs to happen at the end of this month, beginning of the next.

Most of these are on local networks and most of us will not see them at all. Hope there is someone who will tape/post them for all of us to see. I was so sad that we don't have the NA from the Redskins game recorded by anyone here, seemingly. Not blaming anyone, just hoping we WILL have a better plan in the future. Sorry I am a technophobe, a luddite and a klutz.
