I am SUPER-excited--it's still a 5-hour drive but my own fault--living in the boonies, lol!! (Yellin's gonna be in the same boat up in Bangor)...E has a lot of fans in the South around Alabama here!!! Hooray!!

I WISH I was in a position to go to that show!! Man oh man, what a great show!

if you scroll down the page that Angell posted, you will see that Leon Russell is also performing at WorkPlay on Aug 19...that would be a great show for anyone in the area. He wrote A Song For You and many other great songs.

I plan on going. Birmingham is less than 4 hours for me. I'm still hoping for the Mississippi Gulf Coast or/and New Orleans. Pensacola would work too.

I hope they will come to Destin, home of the hotties! J/K!! But Biloxi or Pensacola would be nice too..

OMG OMG OMG........Thank you for this post AngELL!!!!!!!! I have been looking and searching for any performances of Elliott's here in Alabama and I have been unsuccessful and feeling so disappointed...thank you for posting this and lifting my spirits!! OMG OMG OMG ... Elliott's going to be in Birmingham, Alabama, on Oct. 24, 2007!! (my youngest son's 17th birthday.....I'll have to let him know that his birthday present will have to be a little late this year..haha...it's also my sister's 18th birthday and it would be her birthday present, she'd kill me if she didn't get to go!)

~~Now I just have to find a way to get some ca$h before the tix go on sale....my son starts his first year (first day Aug. 15) of college and he's left me broke! (not that I have much anyway).......it's still around a 4 hour drive from here (Troy, Alabama), but soooooooooo worth the drive!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have any clue whatsoever how much the prices are for Elliott's concerts??.......I just need a "guess-tamation" (because more or less I'll be borrowing the $ and repaying)--and that'll help me figure out how many I might be able to purchase and who I can take with me and so forth..(Thanks)

I need some info in a hurry. Both the Birmingham and New Orleans tickets are already up for presale. Anything anybody knows about Workplay in Birmingham and House of Blues in New Orleans will help greatly in the decisions I have to make. The main concern of the people who might go with me is standing versus sitting at least part of the time. If any of you have been to either venue, please, please, please post about your experiences.

Yes, think I know who needs the info and emailed her..WorkPlay allowed us to sit (DH in wheelchair) over to the left of the stage..there is a small section with tables! There may have been some VIP's seated there too..will have to call them but pretty sure the will accommodate people in wheelchairs etc. (Already bought my tix) Hope that helps! Do not know about that HOB site but other HOB's we've been to have been very nice to help you be comfortable..we plan to go...

Hmm..I might be able to talk the hubby into going to that one! Woo hoo! That's not too bad of a drive for us. We can take 78, anybody know good hotels around that area and which parts to stay away from?

Also! Check out Josh Hoge's myspace...looks like there may be a show in Nashville!!?? Hope to see you in B'ham but not sure about hotels...we stayed at the Sheraton last year in town..
