I'm with you Nancy, not having Monday off, plus I had to make arrangements for my 3-yr-old. This just throws a wrench into things. I'm not sure what we are going to do. Why would the NORVA change the date?

1) So they could replace it with a Bright Eyes show.
and 2) They know Elliott's show is going to be full of hometowners and die-hards who have already seen the show date moved twice and not complained, so what does it matter if we're jerked around a third time?
And aside from being peeved at this development, I really don't know if I'm realistically going to be able to make it now. The vacation day I was going to take for an August 8 show is now spoken for; I don't have that many left to last the rest of the year, and to say nothing of the fact that I don't enjoy the eye-rolling and condescension I get from my boss for asking for time off (or leaving work early) for Elliott things. So with a show time of 8:00 and two opening acts, I don't imagine Elliott will get on until fairly late, and then a 2-hour drive back home awaits me so I can be at work by 8:30 the next morning? That won't be pretty at all...
Some of you may luck out, though: remember the Monday after the show is the day Veteran's Day is observed this year, so you may have that as a holiday off.

Since I am flying down to VA...I am assuming there won't be flights that late on Sunday night after the show so I will probably have to stay an extra night...I think the dinner should be left on Saturday...and Elliott should be made to have breakfast with us on Sunday and hang out for most of the day until soundcheck.
Have our people call his people.

Ugh, I'm with you Grace Street - I'm majorly disappointed about this most recent change of dates! I could make the Aug. date and the Nov. 10 date, but can't make in on Sunday the 11th. I've had tickets since the very beginning

Kelly's Tavern just called me. They have changed the time for the E-Train to have dinner. We need to be there by 3:30 p.m. on 11/11/07. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. They have reserved 30 seats. :elliottelliott:
