So, I was going to to alone but yesterday, I was walking with this girl from my class and her cell started ringing and guess what song was her ringtone?? It was 'Wait For You' so I started singing the song and getting 'fangirly-ish' and I then told her that I was going to see him on Nov. 2 and now she wants to come along!! Yeah...I have someone to go with now! LOL Also, my college professor is going to be there too, how weird is that?? LOL

Also, does Elliott do a 'meet and greet' after the concert? What usually happens? I would really LOVE to meet Elliott!!

Greensboro is about 3 1/2 hours away Gigi - I think Patti is going to this one.

I think it's about 3 or more hours from Richmond. Lu and Pdlvne are going as well.

Okay, hip-hop artist Common was at the N Club last Friday and my cousin attended. She told me to get there extra early (if you don't have VIP tickets) to get a place in front. I don't know if there is going to be a big crowd, but I'm going to be prepared! The N Club is kind of a small venue.

I'm planning on driving by there soon and was thinking of calling the club to get the scoop on the seating since my tickets have seat numbers. My husband finally knows we're going and seems a bit excited. It was kind of funny how he found out. He was reading the Rhino Times and saw an ad for the concert. I believe his exact words "Hey, it looks like your boy is going to be in town" I told him I know and we already have tickets.

From what I had heard thusfar, there are about 200 regular tickets sold so far and xxx number of vip's (sold out???) for the show as of now. I am flying into charlotte friday and driving with a friend to g-boro for the concert then hightailing it to durham on sat am to meet others.

It should be a blast. Will be nice to see a concert in a small night club. have been to 2 big venues with good size crowds. now a small one...

so you guys who get there early should be good. me, I will probably be there later when i can get there.

I'm excited for the show. Last weekend we checked out the area so we knew *exactly* where the N Club is. There are a lot a places to meet up within walking distance if anyone is interested.

I'm interested. I love meeting new E-Trainers.

The N club is on the right side of Elm Street just south of Market. You might notice 2 red dots next to each other (Much and Westwind cafe), a space and then a big cluster of dots sorta shaped like an upside down L. The N club is in that space. BTW, THE Woolworth's where the sit-in took place is across the street.

There are a lot more eatery/drinkery places in that cluster but all the dots are on top of each other. Being the mom of 4, I don't get out too much and have only been to Fincastle's Diner (with the kids -- good burgers, onion rings, fried pickles and occasionally the line cooks serenade the house) and Thai Pan(had coupon, good Thai but not worth the trip downtown when I can get equally good and cheaper Thai in suburbia). Natty Greene's (brew pub) gets talked about a lot -- it's a little farther (about 3 blocks) but definitely walkable.

Terriberriez can probably make some good suggestions, since IIRC she's early 20s.

I don't get to go downtown much, but there's some place where they have pizza, Chick-fil-a and that kind of stuff... but I don't know what very much else is like.

Oh and even though I won't be able to go see Elliott, I'll be able to hear him because my mom said she'd drive me down outside the club so we could sit there and listen.

Hopefully you can hear it outside the N club like you can other places

Several of us have mentioned we would like to get together, I don't mind organizing it. It would help if those interested would let me know what they were interested (dinner before? drinks after? etc) There are quite a few option walking distance from the N Club. Terriberriez -- we need to discuss our options, girl!

I just don't want to end up at Chick-fil-A -- I got a 4 yo that would eat 3 X 6 (they're closed on Sundays) if we would let her. Fortunately, with this group, I don't think that is much of a worry =D

Also per TX's observation/request I'm planning on bringing "the boys" a meal. I don't know if anyone else is interested....or how to get it to them safely. Last thing I would want to do is give the gift of food poisoning.....

Eeep I'd like to go eat with everybody, but i don't know if my mom would let me.

And I don't want to make anybody feel awkward since ya'll are like adults and i can't even go to the show anyway.
