My sister got us tickets, we are in for a long drive, but I couldn't take a chance on missing him in Texas! 20 days! Can't wait, he's being advertised this weekend in Austin for another show that's not listed anywhere in a small club. So anyone not close to Houston or Dallas, he's at the The Parish in Austin now on October 20th. You can listen to kiss fm 96.7 this weekend to try and win tickets.

Well, my husband and I have our tickets for The Meridian in Houston on Friday the 19th of October. We will be driving from Austin and that usually takes 3-4 hours but with my hubby driving we will be there in less than 2 1/2 hours! We can get to the club in plenty of time. We are both OLD and it is going to be tough to have to stand for hours - as far as I know it is standing only. I'm not even sure my husband will do it for the entire time but I will just like I did when the American Idol tour came to Austin September 10th, 2006 and I ended up at three of my doctors the next week! Seriously. We will be staying at a hotel .35 mile from the club that night after the show. I couldn't find anything closer!!! My husband of a little over 30 years is a fan of Elliott's and his music and understands my admiration of Elliott. I would love a picture taken with Elliott, an autograph or a sweaty towel thrown from the stage. But, I would love something less permanent but more memorable like a hug, kiss, or (dare I dream?) to be able to touch his locks as JackieB did or just gaze into his blue eyes for a second and tell him how loved he is. I had no luck talking to him or getting close to him at the American Idol tour partly because of who I was with even though we went to Antone's here in Austin after the show and saw Limbo and Tay-Tay. I wasn't there when the rest of the Rat Pack showed up much later. Maybe I'll be lucky in Houston. I also bought a ticket for the next night (Saturday) back here in Austin. My husband won't go again but I usually do well as a loner and my hubby will drop me off at The Parish Room down on 6th and Brazos! So, if I miss out in Houston I'll have another chance here in Austin. I would give anything if I could have wonderful pics or video or an incredible story to tell everyone later but I'm not counting on anything like that - I tend to shake and get too emotional for that! But, I promise I'll try! I'm going to find out really soon the picture and video policies of both clubs so I can try to be prepared in case videos are allowed. Have never heard of The Parish Room and have lived in Austin, Texas since 1972! :etrain:

I'll be thinking of you honey..you just HAVE to hug him and give him big love from all of us...We are all one in our devotion to him! Tell him it's from ALL of us, lolol!! Can't WAIT to se your pictures and hope that you will get a towel, too!! Praying that you will get all the love you need in Houston--and Austin too!

This is NO time to be shy! Sheesh, I wish I were going with you because I'd grab hold of your hand and plow you through to his side. You just be determined and you will meet him, between the two shows, it will happen.

Thanks AngELL and JackieB!!! I'm determined to have something happen if I get any chance at all and I'll try to connect but not be too aggressive. If I get the chance I will let him know that the whole E-Train Station says they love and admire him! Thanks for the encouragement! I realize how lucky I am to get to see and hear him twice in a row and will not waste any opportunity that presents itself. I can't believe it is just 9 and 10 more days away. We just got our iPod in the mail today and my husband downloaded tons of songs onto it from our computer. He brought it to me and put the ear buds in my ears and Elliott was singing Moody's Mood For Love. My knees went weak! A little later he was listening to One Word and said "That ought to be a big hit for him." He really loves his music!

Thanks again gals for the little nudges - like I said, I'll do my very best!!!

For anyone going to The Meridian in Houston the 19th I called today and they said there will be some bar stools and tables that will be "first come, first served". They will be by the - it sounded like he said the sound board - but it might have been the sound booth? Close to the stage? I was too embarassed to let him know I didn't know what he was talking about! LOL! They do serve some food-tacos, hot dogs, etc., and they have a bar. Absolutely NO SMOKING. The part of the club Ellie will probably be playing in is upstairs and will most likely be the Blue Room. If anyone can add anything or correct me, please do so! No video or audio and probably no flash - but that is up to Elliott's people and the person at the club won't know until the day of the performance. How will I take pictures without a flash?

OK, my husband and I are leaving in 19 minutes for the 3 hour drive to Houston and The Meridian! Since we will be driving back to Austin Saturday and I am going to see him again at the Parish Room here in Austin Saturday night I might be in intensive care after that. It might be a little while before I can do recaps or post pics if I have any worth putting up. I'll get back on here as soon as I can, though! :elliottelliott:
