Ok sorry it's so long, I was so excited. I just copied and pasted this from my myspace lol.


So of course being the HUGEEEEEE Elliott fan that I am, when I found out he was coming into the studios…I knew there had to be a way to get in! It's hard winning on 104, it's the largest station in ALL of Texas, and one of the biggest in the US. I even thought about sending them an email basically begging them and telling them how HUGE of a fan I am, and that I'd do just about anything to be in there with him. I knew they'd probably laugh at me though, they never care. It just annoys me because 98% of the people that are in the studio, aren't really fans…they are just people who call in and try to win. So anyway, I tried all that day, no luck. :( It just really upset me because the people who won didn't really care. They all gave responses like, "Oh, uh cool." or "Oh, awesome!" And that's it. Well the next day I was listening all day long for them to announce when they'd be giving away more passes. They said at 4:20 PM. I was like, ok, I have to wait another 4 hours…that's fine. I listened to the radio nonstop, just in case they decided to do it earlier. Well the time came, and I tried on the house phone and my cell, Laura tried on her cell, and my Mom tried on her cell. At first we weren't getting through, then each of us got through a couple times. I was caller 42, 75, either 92 or 102.…AND THEN 104!! I remember after I heard them say 75 I was thinking…awww man, I'm not gonna win again..it's just not going to happen. And then I looked at my Mom and I was like, WAIT! I have faith, I'm gonna get through, I have to see Elliott. And I was so flustered when I won that I pressed the speaker phone button, and I couldn't get it off when the DJ was talking to me haha! I was just in shock that it actually happened. So I won't repeat my reaction when I won, cuz I already posted a bulletin, but there was a lot of screaming involved haha. So I was like, OMG, I HAVE TO BUY NEW CLOTHES! Haha! So we got ready, ran to the mall, with an hour left before it closed, and bought new outfits and earrings.

So I couldn't sleep because I was so excited. I skipped my classes today…I mean I felt bad about it…but I really honestly didn't care because I'd skip anything for Elliott lol. So Laura was babysitting, and their Mom was supposed to be home at 12:30 PM, and Laura was going to drive two streets over back to our house, pick me up, and we were going to leave. Well when she got home, she wasn't dressed, didn't have her make-up on, her nails painted, and she still had to fix her hair. That REALLY upset me because I knew we were going to be late. We had to be there at 2:15 PM, and it takes a while to get there with all the traffic and stuff. Anywayz, we didn't leave till 1:15 PM!!!!!!!! UGH. But that gave us about an hour to drive 60 miles. And we still had to get gas for the car. So the mapquest directions were ENTIRELY WRONG. They were so wrong..that instead of going 60 miles (that's how far the radio station is from our house)…I drove 110 miles to get there!!!!!!! I knew it started looking wrong, but we couldn't do anything about it. We had a huge atlas in our car, and while I was driving I would read off street names and Laura would look for them on the map and see how far away we were. I called the station a MILLION times to ask help with directions, they never picked up once. I also wanted to tell them that we may be a little late but we would be there as soon as we could. So Laura tried the rest of the way…they still didn't pick up. I was panicking sooo bad. Everytime I saw the clock move a minute ahead I wanted to just pass out. I couldn't believe how late we were…I was basically crying and I swear I was going to have an anxiety attack. I mean, imagine winning something…to see your FAVORITE Idol from last year, be in a studio right next to him for that time, see him sing, etc….and then realizing you were going to miss it all because MAPQUEST IS AN IDIOT!!!!!!!! And the traffic was absolutely insane. It was horrible. And the road we were on, had stoplights every two seconds. I was trying to be calm, it was so hard. So I just prayed that we'd get to at least see him, and get there safely. Well once we finally got there, I could have fallen to the ground. We ran so fast inside, went up to the 7th floor, and I explained my situation. The lady at the front desk looked at me with kind of a sad face…and I was thinking, OMG we missed him or something. But then they were like, ok, right this way! And some guy led us back. Laura and I asked him how much we missed, and he was like, "Oh, just the food!" I was like, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! THAT'S IT?!" and then I was like, "Oh that's awesome, I'm a vegetarian anyway," HAHA! (They had chick-fil-a catering, ewww) We were supposed to be there at 2:15...we got there at 3:15!!! So everyone's sitting in the studio, and we walk in there and Roula and Ryan (the morning show DJ's are talking to everyone and smiling and stuff). So we got our spots, and two minutes later Roula was like, "Everyone welcome Elliott Yamin!!" And everyone was screaming and I screamed my head off when he came in haha. He looked right at us and I knew he recognized us haha! I didn't even have time to calm down or realize what the heck was happening, it just all happened so fast. He was wearing dark pants (I think they were jeans lol) with a dark shirt that had designs on it. And he was wearing a baseball hat and his hair was really curly. He looked GORGEOUS. I'm serious, everyone was all crazy over Chris and Ace last year…not me. I WAS ALL ABOUT ELLIOTT HAHA. He's so tiny too! I remember seeing him walk in with the biggest grin, and honestly I wanted to jump up, and grab and hug him. But of course I sat there wishing that lol. So he got interviewed, he talked about who from the Top 10 from last year he keeps in touch with. He said the only one he doesn't keep in touch with really is Kat! I thought that was funny! He said they do text each other though. He said he keeps in touch with Chris (he just hung out with him like 3 or 4 weeks ago) and Bucky ;) of course, and Ace because he lives right next to him. He also said Taylor too. He talked about how he got a new car on January 17th, and that it's in his garage back at his apartment complex because he never gets to drive it lol. He talked about his Mommy, and everyone was saying AWWWW. He said that she enjoys the attention, and that she's always texting him and saying how "Wait For You" was 1 on VH1 lol. And there's a 3 hour time zone difference…so he gets the text messages at like the crack of dawn haha! I remember he kept smacking his gum while he was doing his interview, it was so cute lol. And then he had to spit it out before he sang, and he was saying how he might not make it to the Houston show in October if he didn't haha. Then Roula grabbed his gum that was wrapped up in a piece of paper and said she was going to EBAY it. She could have just handed it to me. ;) LOL. Another thing he talked about was when he heard "Wait For You" the first time on the radio. He was driving by himself, and then it came on. He was like in shock and had to catch his breath. I think he got choked up over it too, awwwww. He said everyone was calling him and saying that it was on the radio..and he was like, "I know I gotta listen to it…BYE!" and then he thought to himself, wait, I've heard that song a million times, I sing it all the time lol. It was sooo cute. And then he said that right before he came into the studio he was in the bathroom brushing his teeth and "Wait For You" was playing and he got all excited because he was like, "That's my song!!" haha. And I knew when that happened…I was almost to the radio station (we were already on Westheimer Road) and "Wait For You" came on and I got the sickest feeling inside of me because they were playing his song and we were only a couple minutes away. (and I didn't know whether or not I missed him) So let's see what else did he talk about….they mentioned that he was going to be on the Bold and the Beautiful. And I think it was Roula who asked him if he was serenading someone with a love song! And he was joking about it..it was so hilarious. So anyway, they had him sing a song..the first one he sang was his newest single (which he said they're gonna release in about a month) called "One Word". Ok, all the songs were acoustic….HOLY CRAP! I am NOT just saying this because I'm in love with him, and his talent…he sounded freaking incredible. He was closing his eyes most of the time he was singing, and getting SOOO into it. It was one of the most beautiful things I've EVER witnessed. I mean I was thinking…"Geez Sarah, how lucky am I to get to be feet away from him and see him do this?!" OH MY GOSH YALL…yall have to listen tomorrow morning…I'm serious. It was the best I have EVER heard that man sing. I was just sitting there in shock lol. Everytime he did open his eyes though, he'd look at me and he saw me singing the entire time, and he kept smiling at me. It was awesome. It was pretty ridiculous though, I was the ONLY one (well Laura too) singing. NO ONE ELSE knew any of the songs. I was sitting there on my stool and I was dancing too haha! Then he sang Movin' On….oh my gosh. FREAKING AMAZING! I was moving around all dancing in my chair and clapping my hands haha. I was singing pretty loud too haha. And then he sang "Wait For You". Dear gosh that man has a beautiful voice. I don't care..this is my opinion…that man had the BEST VOICE…BY FAR last year on American Idol. God definitely gave him a gift, that's for sure. I just admire how that huge voice can come out of him. I'd give anything to sing anywhere near that good LOL! So if yall listen on air, every time someone screams..it's me FIRST…and then everyone joins in haha! It's really funny, and when people stop screaming, I'm still screaming in the background. His eyes just lit up so much when everyone was screaming, he got so excited seeing everyone's reactions. So they only asked one dude's question from the audience…and it was already on a card and Roula read it off. They also gave a pair of tix away to his show in Houston in October…they called someone's name from in there. Even though I already have tix, I was so hoping my name would have been called. That girl just went up there, kinda lightly hugged him and walked off. I would have made a scene and been like WOOHOO! And ran up and hugged and squeezed him lol. So anyway he dedicated Wait For You to all of us in there I think, he was so gracious and thankful to everyone that was there…and to everyone that is his fan. I just love that about him. He truly appreciates everything that has happened to him, and he loves all his fans. So anywayz after it was over they said that people were gonna go up in groups of 4, and get their pictures taken with him. I was like…UHHH NO, unless I'm the one right next to him. HAHA! Well everyone went up in two's…so Laura and I did too.

So we both went up together, but I ran and grabbed him and hugged him so hard haha! And he was squeezing me too! He was like, "HEY GIRLS!!! How are yall??! It's so great to see yall again" And I was like, "Awww Elliott, you remember us." And he was like, "Well of course!" ;) HEHEHEHE. I knew he would. ;) So then I told him how I was going to be at the show in Dallas, and that it was our 22nd birthday (and by this point the lady was already RUDELY interrupting me and telling us to take our picture with Elliott) so I told Elliott, "Alright, we'll take the pic now, and then I'll talk with you some more." He got so excited when I said that haha. So Laura was just standing next to him smiling…and I was like….UHHHH LAURA, I'M HUGGING HIM. And so we were like "Can we hug you in the pic?" and before I even got half way through that sentence he was like, "of course sweetie!" So I was on the left side of him (right side if you're looking at the pic though) and I put my hand across him against his other shoulder haha. And I don't know where Laura put her hand, I just knew mine had to be up there lol. So he had his arms around our necks…but then at the last minute he raised both of his hands up…so I'm pretty sure he was giving us bunny ears lol. I know he was up to something lol! So anyway we hugged again, then I turned and faced him and started blabbering about the shows haha. I was like, yah we're gonna be there front row and center for you…it's my 22nd birthday at the Dallas show. And he was like, "Oh AWESOME! That's at House of Blues!…I'm so happy yall are gonna be there." And I was like, "Well of course" (and the lady was being psychotic and saying we had to go, but I ignored her and so did Elliott! ;) There was NO WAY in hell she was going to ruin my time with him, especially since I waited 11 LONG months to see him again haha. So then I told him how I was gonna be at the Houston show the next day, and how I already have my tix..and that I seriously cannot wait and that I'm soooo excited to see him. I think it made him soo happy! He was just so sweet with me (he always is with everyone). And then we had to pretty much go, and I totally got another hug….it was AMAZING lol. While we were hugging I told him in his ear, "Oh I just have to tell you that your CD is the most AMAZING thing ever." And he was like, "Awww sweetie, thank you SOOO MUCH!" and he started rubbing my back. I was like, HELL YAH. HAHA! No seriously, it was an amazing hug and we stayed like that for a few more seconds and then we had to leave. I think Laura was jealous that I got an extra hug with him lol. I mean if she wanted one that bad she could have just gotten one. The picture lady was trying to get the next person in line to take their pic with him, and he was just talking to us even when we were walking away haha! It was so funny, he was like, "I'm so excited to see yall at the shows," and kept going on about it. Then he thanked us for coming out to see him. And the last thing I wanted to do was walk through the glass doors and leave that man haha. So then I saw Roula in another room, and she was like, DID YOU HAVE FUN?!?! And I was like OMG YES! And I said how I'm like Elliott's biggest fan and how I voted for him nonstop last year and that we went to all 4 American Idol concerts last year in Texas…and that he was my favorite. She was so excited haha. So then I was like Roula!!! I know everyone tells you this but I seriously love yalls show. I have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and every Thursday (that's when they do it) when I drive to class I listen to yalls roses. (It's something they do called Roula and Ryan's roses…where they try to see if a guy is cheating on his gf or wife lol). And then I just told her how much I loved hearing her on the radio. She was so excited when she heard that so she asked me my name…and my last name…and then both of our names. So she was acting like she was going to say my name on air tomorrow morning…I really hope she does. Because that would be amazing haha. So anyway they told us we had to go to the conference room. Once we were in there, someone was like, "Yall are in here until Elliott leaves on his tour bus. We don't want a huge crowd getting in their cars and following his bus." I was like, that is retarded. And retarded if someone followed his bus. Then they passed out 8X10's of Elliott that were signed from when he got there. Finally after a while they were like, "Ok, everyone can go now."

So we left and went downstairs, and Laura went to call Jenn. Jenn is an AWESOME girl we met at the Houston American Idol concert back on July 15. She is so sweet and so awesome…and she loves Gina Glocksen…so that makes her cool just right there haha! Well we hung out and got to meet the Idols after the show…it was an amazing experience. And I remember when I found out that her favorite from last year was Elliott…I was SO EXCITED! So yes she's a HUGE Elliott fan too, and she's never met him. I wanted so badly for her to meet him. She should have been IN THAT STUDIO WITH ELLIOTT!…instead of some of the people who barely knew who he was. Well she saw him walk into the building when he got there, but he didn't stop..he was with a security guard. Anywayz Laura called her, and Jenn said how she met him…and she got an autograph for us because she thought we didn't make it in time! I was like in shock, she is so freaking sweet. She got her picture taken with him and everything. Well anyway I was in the parking garage, and I saw Elliott's tour bus right outside on the right side. I was like awww he hasn't left yet. So we were looking for Jenn, and I saw her and we went over. I was trying to run over, but I was in high heels and I had to go through like flower beds (but there were no flowers haha) and there was mud and rocks and I'm sure I looked ridiculous trying to get through all of that to go back in the street towards her. We were all loud too, because I was so freaking excited haha! And that's when I'm pretty sure Elliott spotted us in his tour bus. His tour bus was on the side of us, pretty close. We were all talking together about how everything went, and all of a sudden the bus starts pulling away..and I hear someone scream really loud, 'BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!' It was Elliott!! He opened the window for us too. He was looking right at us, waving and was saying bye. He was yelling something else, but I couldn't quite make it out haha. So of course I was kinda shocked and I screamed my head off and I was like BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ELLIOTT. Haha, he was laughing his head off. It was amazing. :D:D:D:D

I didn't even think to take a picture or video…or ANYTHING. Oh well. :(

So then Jenn and Laura and I talked for a longgg time about everything that happened. It was so much fun, even though it was over 100 degrees outside. It was freaking hot man! But we all were just so happy. Finally after a while she had to go back to work and take her friend home. So Laura and I drove home and went to Casa Ole to celebrate. I couldn't even really eat my food because I was so ecstatic about everything that happened HAHA!

I can't believe it's already over. It went faster than it came. :( But that's ok, because I'll be seeing him on my birthday, and the next day. My 21st birthday really sucked, so this is going to MORE than make up for it!

Everyone go to www.104krbe.com and listen at 7:30 AM central time…that's when it's going to air. Seriously, it will be worth it to listen…the three songs he does is just unbelievable.

Elliott is an amazing guy, he is sweet to EVERYONE he meets. He has a great heart, and incredible talent, and he's just an all around great guy. I hope I don't EVER have to wait 11 months again to see that man.

I feel so lucky, and SO BLESSED. I'm so thankful.

What a great story! I loved it, especially how both you and Elliott ignored the picture lady! Elliott will spend as much time with his fans as he possibly can, despite what the people around him are saying. So happy for you that you got so much Elliott love!

Hi Sarah! I don't know if you remember the older lady at the Austin American Idol Tour stop and standing under that huge old oak tree in the blazing heat on 9/10/06 or not. You and Laura were in matching green plaid outfits and had paper bags all decorated. After the concert we went to Antone's and I saw and spoke to you again there! Anyway, I'm soooo happy that you got to see Elliott in person again and get your picture made with him, etc. You are such a sweetie and really deserve it. I've converted my husband into an Elliott music lover so we will be driving from Austin to Houston for his show at The Meridian. Bought our tickets 8/21 and we have a hotel room for that night. Maybe I'll see you there. I would give anything to be able to get close to the stage. We'll see! Thank you soooo much for posting your experience. It was awesome to read!
