I was looking up directions for the place and came across this one review of Croc Rock. Now mind you, this might be a musician with a grudge against them. This is more about the management.
"Crook Rocks is more like it
This club is THE WORST place to see a concert.I can not count the number of times I have been there and saw water dripping from the ceiling, huge puddles on the floor, trash cans catching the water. They claim to be "The Lehigh Valleys Largest Entertainment Complex" which is another lie made by the owners & Management fabricated to glorify this dump. Penns Peak is much larger and there are a few other nightclubs in the Lehigh Valley that are either of equal size or larger and several more under construction currently. This club is owned by a known felon as well as convicted habitual criminal. This club regularly defrauds bands, musicians, service providers of payment or of full payment, misrepresents themselves to musicians ,various other deceptive and bad business pactices ,they have the absolute worst public relations of any business I have ever seen, they must have fraudulently padded their ticket sales numbers by including tickets they gave away free (that were never used to attend shows) in those numbers in order for them to get into PollStar's top 25 clubs and if you are in a band that has played there you should inform pollstar how empty it was when you play this club and full when you play places like The Electric Factory in Phila so they can see for themselves.ANY musicians or bands thinking of playing here should in their own best interest find out the truth about this club and its management by going to www.croc-rock.info . The Better Business Bureau has even given them an unsatisfactory report . I can not express enough how bad this club is and how much of a clear and present danger this club is to musicians, bands, service providers, patrons. Crocodile Rock Cafe even got fined for serving a minor in oct 06 and only got a fine (which they didnt pay almost a year till their liquor license was suspended then the owner paid the fine quick so they would only lose the license for 1 day). It amazes me that such a clear and present danger is allowed to continue opperating and probably would have been closed long ago if not for the owners connections in the Lehigh County Courthouse pulling strings for him.The state should really look into this club and who in Lehigh County is illegaly pulling strings for the owner. In the over 20 yrs I have been in the local music scene I have heard thousands of complaints about this clubs owner and its management practicing extremely bad business practices from local bands ,musicians, service providers, patrons as well as other bars in the area.
My son has been and I asked him what he thought. Well he also likes mosh pits and the like... so I'm not sure about his review either :rotfl: He said it's a great place for concerts and has great acoustics. You must be 21 to enter from the front, it goes through the bar area, which has some tables and seats. If you are under 21 you must enter from the rear of the building.. and this leads you to the front of the stage. Now if it's like TLA in Philly... remember to bring ID no matter how old you to enter through the front.
I went to the Croc Rock for Gavin Degraw and i thought it was a good venue. Nothing dripped on me hahaha...
