I've picked the winner for the last 3 shows, but I can't see myself watching this year.

Yeah, this season sounds pretty blah. I'm still going to watch, though, because it is a good show, good entertainment. I'm excited about Julianne Hough being back this season (Apolo's partner from last season)...she's partnered with Helio Castroneves this year. Also, Julianne's brother, Derek Hough is going to be on this season...he's partnered with Jennie Garth.

Yay Maks is back! But, um...his partner? Yikes!

I kinda feel bad for Alec Mazo...they paired him with someone who I've never heard of. Last season, he was paired with Paulina Porizkova, and they got kicked off the first week. Alec is gorgeous, and I love watching him dance. I like him, Tony Dovolani, and Maksim the best of the pro guys.

I miss Ashly DelGrosso. She had a baby in July, so she won't be on this season. She was one of my favorites in the first 3 seasons of the show.

I forgot about Ashley. I like her alot, too. She seems to always get stuck w/ the not so great partners. IMO, anyway. Hope she can make it back in Jan. Or Feb or March...lol. Whenever the next season starts up.

Yeah, but the first season, she was with Joey McIntyre (from NKOTB) and he was very good. They made it pretty far, like maybe 3rd or 4th place. I wasn't into the show as much then, but my mom watched and I watched it occasionally. He was who she was rooting for, and I liked him too, when I'd watch. Then, of course came Master P. Ugh. And then, I guess Harry Hamlin, who tried, but was completely stiff. Poor guy. I hope if and when she returns to the show, that she gets a pretty good partner. :)

I forgot abut Joey! He was good. I didn't even realize that was her partner...lol.

I can hardly wait. This season starts early so it won't overlap with Idol. Is the first show this monday?

Yup, first show is on Monday. And for some weird reason I think the results show will be on Wednesday. :/

This is great! My daughter loves this show almost as much as Idol. Homework will be done without prompting on Dancing with the Stars nights. When it's over, it will be Idol season again-perfect timing.

Josie Maran is a very well known model -- seems like Alec gets the luck of the draw when it comes to getting the beauties. First Paulina, and then Josie. Hopefully she's a better dancer and they make it past week 1.
Have never watched the show in its entirety before, but I've been advised that it's well worth watching.

We like to tape DWTS so we do not have to sit through the commercials. Due to schedules, we won't be able to watch until Thursday or even Friday night. What I love about this show is Tow, who is hilarious, and the judges who are also hilarious. Our fav is Cheryl; I don't think she and Wayne will last long. We also like Julianne...she is an amazing choreographer....and what's not to like about any of the guys?

I thought she and Alec did pretty well. The judges were hardest on them tonight.



I thought the ladies did a good job, considering it was the first show. Some were a little more nervous or stiffer than others, but I was impressed overall. :clap:

Last night I only saw Josie, Sabrina, and Scary Spice. Josie is absolutely gorgeous. Her dancing was OK. But, defintley a step up from the rehersals. "Deceptively fit"... :rotfl:

My daughter LOVES the Cheetah Girls so she was excited to see Sabrina. Sabrina ROCKED, IMO. I liked the hip hop moves but IA that they were not needed. I thinks she and her partner had real chemistry.

Hee! Maks is so cute when he get's frustrated. I adore him so much and he is such a fabulous dancer. His and Scary's routine was OK. I just don't like her. Mymind may change as time progresses but eh.

My daughter and I watched. I think it was the best opening show yet! My favorite male teacher is Maks. He's really hot. All of the women were fantastic.
I doubt the men will do as well tonight.

Yeah, Sabrina did an awesome job. I agree about the hip-hop moves. When she said they were going to put those in the routine, my mom and I looked at each other and said that the judges wouldn't like that. They're so by-the-book, and they don't like when people mess with the rules and stuff. I don't think it really hurt her, though, but it could in the future if she takes too many chances. She and her partner looked very ready, though, compared to some of the others who looked a little hesitant. Honestly, I never heard of her before. LOL. I don't know anything about The Cheetah Girls.

Mmmm, Maks. :awe: He's gorgeous. Alec's gorgeous, too, but holy freakin chest hair! LOL.

I have a feeling the guys aren't going to be as impressive tonight. Should be entertaining. :cheerleader1:

Didn't get to watch the show last night. How did Jane Seymour do?? I was reading an article about her and the show today and she's the oldest lady (at 56). Apparently she had some dance training when younger but retired due to knee injuries and turned to acting. She said her teacher was trying to get her stiff "British" hips to swivel. Did they??

Jane did well. They loved how graceful and elegant she was. She doesn't look 56 or even 46.

Tonight was very entertaining too. As I was watching, I had a vision of Elliott dancing on there in the future. I could see him paired with Cheryl or Julianne.

Sabrina is very good! I was surprised because normally I don't really like this show too much until later in the season when they start dancing better. But she was very very good! I liked the hip-hop moves, I didn't think they were overdone, although I don't like the arm and hip pump move. That was a little much.

Derek Hough is very weird for me. Especially with Jennie Garth. He seems to overexaggerate his movements, and he doesn't seem to have the same finesse as Maksim or Alec does. It's very weird for me to watch him. But he's very good. And cute!

I only got to watch Wayne and Mark tonight, and did not like either one. Wayne is adorable but good lord put on a shirt that doesn't show the carpet, please! And I like Mark's personality but it's a little tick and it bothers me when he was singing along with the music. LOL. It's very distracting.

But I totally envy Cheryl, Edyta, Anna, Kym, and Julianne!

My favorite tonight was Helio. He and Julianne were awesome and so cute. Her choreography is always so entertaining IMO. I love them so far.

I thought they were a little rough on Floyd and Karina. I thought Floyd was better than at least Wayne. I wasn't crazy about Albert, even if he shook his hips. I didn't think it was that good. Mark was entertaining, but I'd rather he didn't sing along. LOL. Wayne is entertaining, but not fabulous at dancing. I'm sure he'll stick around for a little while, though.

Since so many of the names were unfamiliar to me, I didn't think I would enjoy this season, or even watch.......but I was pleasantly surprised.

But I do think as a group, the guys showed more personality then the ladies, and were more fun to watch.

I didn't know many of the names this year either but think they all did well considering it was their first time.

The women outshined the men, so far anyway. I think they chose the celebs well and considered the fact that only one woman has won so far. Of the females I like Jane, Jennie, Sabrina and Scary Spice.

Berkana, I envy all the women pros too. Great bodies. All of them. And the men too. Maks is a favorite even though he's full of himself. :)

brwneydgirl, you were right. The men didn't do as well as the women. Helio and Julianne are my favorite too of the men. I continue to be impressed by Julianne's choreography skills and ability to make her partner look good. I wouldn't mind if she took it again this year. And I agree the judges were hard on Floyd & Karina. I wasn't crazy about Albert either. Please. Way too full of himself. Turn off. Mark was better than I expected. I didn't think he'd have ANY rhythm.

Too bad about Josie. I would have liked to see her develop. I thought she and Alec were cute together.

I also was not impressed with the celebs chosen for this seasons cast. Until I watched their performances! WOW!! They ALL were impressive. Some obviously aren't as strong as others (yes Josie, you needed to go...hated it for Alec though :(). Lovin Sabrina, Mel B for the young group & Marie & Jane impressed me as well!! Albert is hunkalicious, Helio is charming & debonaire(sp?) Floyd & Cameron have serious potential. I am LOVING this season!

Well, I kinda expected it, but I'm sad about Alec leaving first again. I really hope next season they give him someone better or a little more famous or something. :( It was sweet of him to ask their fans to vote for Edyta and Cameron. Alec & Edyta are such a gorgeous couple. :wub:

I think I love Julianne.

She's so talented. She and Helio are my favorites. Maks and Scary are second.

I think they overrated Marie Osmond. And underrated Mark Cuban. I know he's not Mario Lopez but I thought he did a very good job considering he's a middle-aged white collar white boy with no dance experience.

Julianne & Helio are my fave couple this season! I love them!!! They're so infectious. Julianne's choreography is blowing me away again this season. :woohoo:

I also like Cameron & Edyta, Mel & Maks, and a few of the others.

My co-workers and I were discussing this week's DWTS results. Several of us were rather shocked that Albert left. He was better than Wayne Newton.

I think Albert was shocked too. He was too full of himself for me.

Models don't seem to do well because they don't have the fan base the others do. Josie went last week and Paulina was the first to leave last year.

I wasn't too shocked about Albert, even though he was decent, and I would have liked to have watched him improve over future weeks. Sorry Albert fans. :glomp: Some of the celebs have been famous for so long, and they have tons of fans and/or fans who are very emotionally attached to them and want to see them do well. Others haven't been famous for as many years, but are currently quite popular.

The women were all fantastic tonight!

Tomorrow , Billy Ray Cyrus and his daughter Miley, aka Hannah Montana will be performing.

Finally! Wayne Newton was booted off last night. Feel sorry for Cheryl though.

Now that the competition has narrowed down some, these are my top 4 favorites:

Jennie and Derek
Cameron and Edyta

My favorite couple is Sabrina and Mark with Mel and Maks a close second.

I'm really glad that Marie is ok. She had me very worried when she fainted.

Oh my gosh, I was so worried about Helio & Julianne and Jane & Tony tonight. Glad they didn't get eliminated. Helio & Julianne are my favorite couple, and I was so scared when they didn't tell them they were safe until the last minute. Ahhh! I hope they do better next week, so I don't have to worry as much! I'm glad Jane & Tony didn't go. That would have been sad. :(
