Clemson College Show in S. Carolina
By DJ B-ROC(DJ B-ROC)
The crowd showed a lot of love and we got to chill with the other artists a lot. Elliot Yamin headlined...if you dont know who he is look him up hes a beast. Baby Boy Da Prince was mad cool as well. Real down to earth dude.

Oh, good. now I'm happy.

This was a great venue and a terrific opportunity to win over new fans - which we know he did once they heard him performing live! Wish we could find some pictures or vids.

I found this video of another artist performing at the Last Chance Summer Dance, Clemson, SC. What a crowd! I sent a message to the person who posted this video asking if they captured Elliott's performance. *crossing fingers*

Here's 2 pictures I found of Clemson. I also found where the radio station that sponsored the event is polling for the favorite act at the concert. Right now QuietDrive is ahead with 32% and Elliott and Corey Crowder are tied with 18%. Josh Hoge also performed.

Well,

I went to the concert at Littlejohn Coliseum and had a blast. While walking around campus seeing some of the old stomping grounds... I walked past the tunnel of the Coliseum and saw Aaron and Russell down below. I walked down to Aaron, said hi, and gave him something to give to Elliott that I had set aside. We talked for a few minutes before they had to go in for sound check. Then I walked some more around campus to kill some more time. They said that they were performing at 10:15pm so I went back to get something to eat and waited for the outside performances. Josh Hoge was about to perform when I came back on the outside stage. Said hi to him and listened for a bit while waiting in line to go inside for the main part of the concert.

When inside, it was set up as a half arena event. Littlejohn holds 10,000 people normally for a Tigers basketball game. Being a half arena stage set up, I would say that there were somewhere between 3-5k people

Chenelle, Baby Boy (da prince), Aly & AJ, Quietdrive, and Sean Kingston all performed before Elliott. They were pretty good. But Chenelle kept referring to Clemson as Greenville (made crowd slightly angry). Seemed that Sean Kingston wanted to dance and strut more than sing. He pretty much only did his 2 popular songs of Me Love and Beautiful Girls in which he invited about 30 or so girls of all ages on stage.

Then Elliott came on right on cue. He was his usual real good self. sounded great. My friends who went with me were impressed. They all bought his cd there. The picture of his set list posted here is exactly what he sung. it was right about 45 minutes of a set. which concluded a 3 hour indoor part of the concert and overall including the outdoor part about 5 hours and 10 bands/artists.

After the show concluded we walked outside of the colisum and down the steps to head back over to the tunnel. and Russell and Aaron were at the bottom with a security guard near by. They had been waiting for us to take me and my friends back to meet Elliott whom I have known and met before. My friends were shocked and suprised that they were going to meet him. They did not know that I was going to do this. The security personel would not let anyone else near the tunnel. We were led by the 2 of them down the tunnel and a few minutes later while we were talking Elliott pops out. We talked for a long time catching up on things and taking photos and autographs. Too bad the bars in Clemson close at midnight on saturdays because of the state's blue laws. (No sunday alcohol sales unless approved by city vote). Had we had some more time, we could have been hanging out in the downtown bars as we had invited them to come.

All in all it was a great concert, and the 2nd time I have seen him on his tour to date. Cleveland and here in Clemson. Each concert was a little different.

Thank you very much for your recap. It's great that you got to spend some time with Elliott, Aaron and Russell. That was very nice of Aaron and Russell to wait for you to make that possible. Your friends owe you one. LOL.

It's also great that Elliott received love from the crowd. His voice is amazing.

I'm glad that you had a blast.

Any pictures or video to share?

thanks for the recap mblum16. Would love to see some pics.

Wow! That's an exciting recap! Thanks for posting.

Oh that's so cool. How weird is it having an old friend become such a celebrity? I can't imagine how surreal that must be. :elliottcap:

mblum16 - September 5, 2007 09:15 PM (GMT)
Here is a clip of the concert from B93.7 and WYFF 4. It is edited out of sequence because Elliott was last even though Quietdrive clips are at the end of this video.

they said about 6500 people were there... a real good crowd. more than my live estimate of 3-5k.

Checked out the clips at Clemson. Sorry, couln't stand the Prince guy, couldn't understand a word Kingston said (sang?). The two girls were about the only other act that made any sense. Elliott sounded great as usual. :awe: :cheerleader1: :elliottcap: :elliottcap: The other acts didn't rate more than a 3. Elliott was a 10 all the way, but maybe it's because he was the only one who sang real music that actually sounded like singing. The Prince guy and Kingston, they ain't going no where. Prince said he has been doing this for 7 years, guess what he can do it for another 7 years and won't be as successful as Elliott. Same deal with Kingston

I have posted some pics on my myspace page... please check it out under the pictures area. please note that the pictures are from far away as my seats were in the lower bowl and not on the floor.
