Whos going?? I am coming from St. Louis with my boyfriend (talked him into going with me! :awe: ) My best friend surprised me the other day by calling and telling me "So I just bought 2 tickets to the Elliott concert and you ARE going to be there!" :awe: Shes the best!

I just realized that sounded confusing- my Best Friend lives in Columbia and shes going to the concert with me, I hate driving long distance on highways and its a good 2 hour drive so I bought my bf a ticket and hes driving with me and we're gonna meet her. :elliottelliott:

I'm still trying to decide between Columbia and Tulsa. I can only go to one show so I'm not sure which one to choose. Both are about 3.5 hrs away for me. Does anyone have any info about the venues? Cains Ballroom in Tulsa is a historical landmark. It's been there for years and everyone from Bob Wills to the latest Indie acts have played there. I know nothing about the Blue Note.

I have to admit....I'm 46 years old and a grandma of 1 and a half grandchildren(yep, ones on the way) and I'm afraid of being the unhip old fan in the crowd of young people. I wish I could get my daughter to come. I have two daughters and one would LOVE to come but she is in Phoenix now and the other (pregnant) one wouldn't come because Elliott is not her cup of tea.

My husband will come with me thank goodness and I have almost talked a coworker into coming.

Either place is a long ways and will probably include a night at a hotel.
I definitely want to meet up with any Etrainers there.

Don't worry about being the "un-hip" one... you won't be! I went to see Elliott in Milwaukee and that was the biggest variety crowd I've ever seen! He attracts everyone. :elliottcap:

I wish I could tell you about the venue, but I can't. I've never been there either!

I don't think us "older women" will be in the minority of the people at Elliott's concert in Columbia, Mo. It is a college town but not far from St.Louis and Kansas City , Mo., really half way in betewwn both. I can't wait to be there.

I haven't bought mine yet, I think I want to get reserved seating since I'd rather not stand all night (bad knee and feet). I also don't think my husband would stand, especially for SEVERAL acts before Elliott.

My sister and I are going to see Elliott at the Blue Note also. And we are not spring chickens, either. LOL I don't care, he makes me feel young just listening to him because he is definately "an old soul" like me. :cheerleader1:

Hey, I'm checking on going too. I'm from central IL and I think it's only like 150 miles to Columbia. I called the Blue Note today and they told me all the reserved seating was sold out basically. I don't want balcony anyways. I guess it's first come first serve for tables, bar, etc on the main level from what I could get out of the girl. Even asked if you could pay extra for the tables, etc like they pulled on us in Chicago....nope. Has anyone been here before? I'm just curious about the set up on the first floor. She said there's tables, chairs by the dance floor, etc and these are all general admit. Layout on ticket masted doesn't give a great pic. Help! I think I'm goin anyways....one concert was just not enough. Damn, I wish he'd add St. Louie to his tour....that's a fun city and closer to me!

I've heard this is a great place but I've not been there. It's an old theatre renovated or something. It's in the downtown area. My tickets are in the balcony row H. I can't stand for too long. (bad knee) but I'm glad it sounds like a good showing for him. I saw somewhere a ticket on sale on ebay? I think. You might check it out.

OMG....You guys, I have talked my DH into going with me to Columbia!!!!!! I just now got tixs and hotel reservations! OMG, I don't know if my heart can take seeing E twice in 2 weeks! But I'm gonna give it the ole college girl try! :rotfl: My DH said he couldn't stand the thought of me pouting all night if he didn't take me! :awe: I might have keep my squeeeeeeing to a minimum since he's being so sweet! :rotfl: CHLOE, US ETRAINER'S GOING TO COLUMBIA NEED THE SUPER MAGICAL GOLDEN HORSESHOE! I hate to be a hog...heeeheee but with my first meeting my brain was like squash and I was so stupid to ask him " are you finished with your xmas cd?" duh, it was done back in July, any etrainer would know that! And I'm on a mission to this time hopefully get a vid of him giving a shout out to the etrain!!!! WOOOHOO! :etrain:

So I am SUPER EXCITED GUYS!!! My parents just gave me my 21st birthday present 3 and a half weeks early... it was a brand new digital camera with an AMAZING zoom range. I am SO excited. They gave it to me so early because they wanted me to have it for the concert on Tuesday. So expect some good pictures from me Wednesday!! :rocker:

I just booked my hotel and was wondering where everyone is staying and if you'd like to get together before the event.
I booked at the Regency Downtown and I think it's walking distance to the Blue Note. I thought we'd save the hassle of parking problems.

I'm getting excited too......heck no I'm ALREADY thrilled! :rocker: Hey Kellie, I just got a new cam too...supposed to take good low light, close ups, etc. My Chi town pics sucked...vids weren't too bad. I've been playing with it to make sure me or DH knows how to work it good by Tuesday.

And tralalara....we're staying at the Regency too! I'm trying to talk my DH into leaving work early....I get nervous about crap like that, especially after all the snafus that happened in getting to Chi town. Well, hopefully we'll be there at least by 5 pm. Hubby said, you can drop me at hotel so I can take a shower (I'm picking him up at work in Quincy,IL as it's on the way) and then YOU can head to the Blue Note to the tour bus! lol! I would PREFER to get there in plenty of time, eat a nice supper, etc and THEN head to the tour bus! Oh well, beggars can't be choosers! The hotel is only 3 blocks from the Blue Note. YEAH!, no messing with trains, cabbies from h*ll, etc that I had to deal with in Chicago.
I just want to get there plenty early to see about the line cuz we have general admit tix. all the reservered are sold out. The girl I talked to said there's plenty of tables with chairs by the dance floor as well as the bar area to sit. I don't mind standing for E but not for 2+ hours before he comes on.
