I've been home for almost 24 hours now and have been catching up on all sorts of things, but I still haven't ferreted out all of the pictures and videos availabe from the Six Flags Concert. It was such a fantastic concert with so many E-trainers and so much media that I would like to make a special section for it on my web site. Here's what I have in mind:

Instead of stories which formed the focus of the Spring Tour section, I would like to focus more on captioned pictures (a single line or several lines for the captions) and videos. After I get the section completed, I can use my special download program to convert it to files which can be exported. Then I can upload the files so that anyone who wants to make their own souvenir disk can download the files and simply burn them to a CD.

I learned a lot while putting up the Spring Tour stories and I hope I these new guidelines will make it so easy that everyone will participate.

1. I'll include all videos that you want included. (My web site now has very large limits which I don't even come close to reaching).

2. I'll also include all pictures that you want included. I think up to 4 sentences with each picture should be sufficient.

3. The easiest way for me to gather the material would be if you could FTP them to my web site, but during the last project I learned that this may be too difficult for some people without a lot of computer experience. If you want to give it a try, I have a set of instructions I can send you. If you would rather not, here are some other options in order of what is most efficient for me to get them on the site:

a. E-mail the pictures to me as attachments (mail them to submissions@fanencounters.com)

b. Provide me the specific link to each picture and video already posted somewhere on the web.

If you are interested, please add a reply to this topic so that everyone who attended will get a feel for how the project is going.

Also, if you are interested and I do not already have your email address, please send it to me in a PM. I already have the address of everyone who submitted a story for the spring tour.

Such a busy lady :). Rick seems to be better at captions than me lol. Mine say Six Flags. Well lets see, I took 200 pictures, and one video. I think I may find one or two :)

I was going to give up on this project, but Rick talked me into seeing it through, so now he's obligated to learn how to resize pictures (width of 400 please Rick ) and get them to me along with his captions. I know that Carole is already a whiz at such things.

I just finished updating the page with a few additional pictures (the somewhat blurry ones) and a 30-second video clip of "Trainwreck." I already know of some revisions I'll be making but they will be minor. I put up the links for Rick's and Carole's pages, but I haven't actually started on those yet.

I know for certain that Elliott knows the site exists because I told him about it. :)

Ooops, I didn't see the resizing post. Ahem, I might have taken up all your web space :).

I am working on resizing the photos...think I got it.

I now have the three pages (mine, Carole's, and Rick's) up under the 6 Flags link. I'll have to do a little tweaking later today or tomorrow and Rick will be adding some captions, but I am very pleased with these pages.

Now that I (more or less :) ) have the mechanism for subpages figured out, it will be easy to add additional pages for anyone who wants to share their 6 Flag experience.
