Title: Sam's Club
Description: Playing Moody's Mood For Love :-)
Ebeliever - September 6, 2007 02:57 PM (GMT)
Long story short......(ya, right :rotfl: )
Went to our local Sam's Club yesterday and all of a sudden I heard Elliott singing MMFL!! :omg: :thud:  :woohoo:
I quickly looked around to see if anyone else heard what I just heard! I started looking for that 'Elliott sighting" look on anyone's face :anyone: :thud: :omg: :jawdrop: :woohoo: , anyone singing along with the words, frozen in their tracks :awe: , dancing or just plain jumping up and down! But sad to say no one. I frantically started searching out my husband, who had as usual disappeared. Spotted him! Yelled his name outloud, waving my arms wildly in the air and sending him the sign language for "DO YOU HEAR THAT!!?". He gives me that S--- eating smile of his and puts his fingers in his ears! I rounded him up and dragged him over to the CD section where I "finally" had seen Elliott's CD displayed. This is the first time I have ever seen Elliott's CD at Sam's Club. And selling for $10.88! And they had "lots"!! About time!! YES!! :rocker:
Elliott's MUSIC is being played more and more EVERYWHERE!!

WOOOHOOOO!! I love these stories!
I had a similar experience in Walmart a couple days ago. Funny thing is, it was my 6year old that loudly exclaimed, 'Mommy! That is Elliotts' song!!'. heehee Gotta start 'em young ya know! ;)

OK! That does it! I almost went there yesterday to renew but decided I didn't need it...but if they are playing Big E, well..that's another story..I'm there!

AWESOME. My only experience is sitting at a stoplight and WFY is playing on the radio and I look over at the car next to me to find the driver (girl) singing along with it. I thought that was so cool.

A bit off topic here, and sorry for butting in, but it's been a lingering question I just have to ask you harley, is your motorcycle by chance equipped with a CD player & if so, do you ride playing Elliott's CD?? I'm sorry my curiosity sometimes gets the best of me, especially as I'm riding in traffic yesterday on my way home, I see 4 or 5 bikers riding along enjoying themselves, & I couldn't help but wonder if listening to music is possible unless you have speakers in your helmet!! So tell us please, what's your secret?? There's certainly nothing in the world I'm sure like riding so free-spirited!! Next best to listening to Elliott music on the highway!! :elliottporsche:

Great story...
My friend and her 5 year old daughter, who I bought the CD for, were having dinner at a Houlihan's and WFY started playing. She looks up at her Mom and goes..."Mom...it's Rick's Song!!!"
How cool is that???

Wow! Sam's Club has Elliott! Whenever I go there I give a half-hearted glance to the cd's in case his beautiful face would show up. Today I will go and scour the place!

No mine doesn't have a CD player. Some of the touring bikes do. However, I listen to my I-Pod alot, so I have had Elliott in my ears going down the road.
:harleywoman:
ETA: I sing along while riding, thank goodness the bikes are loud. :rotfl:

Awesome.
I look forward to the day when I hear one of Elliott's song in an unexpected place.

Well I did go to Sam's Club and found 12 Elliott Yamin cd's on display. I was pretty excited until I learned that Sam's Club sales are not counted by Soundscan. That's a bummer.

Checked Sam's Club and was so happy! The CD's there are so limited..very few titles..E was the ONLY Idol--just about every other artist was an icon--and been around for years-so for E to be included among them just felt phenomenal! I bought some replacements for the ones I've given away and there were about 8 left!
